This old stone home offers an escape to the country like no other. Set on acres and acres of private land, the estate here is dedicated to rewilding. Instead of topiaried hedges and regimented flowerbeds you’ll find wildflower meadows, wild moorland and forests alive with wildlife. Here, days can be spent cycling and hiking the woodland trails straight from your doorstep, wild swimming and climbing up to a Bronze Age cairn. There’s a wellness centre on the estate too for some real R&R.

The home itself combines a Scandi-chic vibe with touches of the 19th century. Stone fireplaces and wooden-beamed ceilings sit alongside sleek, modern kitchen cabinets and plush sofas in sitting rooms. Our favourite spot has to be the dedicated playroom, or “kid’s cave” where bunting and hand-written notes cover the walls and there’s a big activity table to keep little hands occupied for hours. The view from the classic old windows is something to savour too – out over rewilded pastures and rolling hills for miles.

Rewild At Heart

Within a mile of Sheffield's city centre, this contemporary home makes a good base for your adventures. Broomhall is home to tree-lined streets, coffee shops and pubs, two universities, and Sheffield Botanical Gardens. It's quiet yet still close to all the action. Back home, you can enjoy sunny days in the private garden or spend chilly evenings getting cosy in the living area. In addition to the three comfortable bedrooms, the lounge features a sofa bed for one guest. Desks are available for digital nomads, a sleek kitchen is ideal for home chefs, and pets are welcome to tag along for a fee.

Broomhall in Bloom

Just a ten-minute drive from the Peak District National Park, this home is a stylish retreat in a wonderful location. You can stroll to the nearest pub and it’s just a fifteen-minute walk to Mossley train station offering quick connections with Manchester city centre. Wherever the day takes you, this home welcomes you to slow down, settle in and make it your own. There’s a cinema room for cosy movie nights and the main bedroom comes with a desk for remote workers.  


Grey Stone

This charming apartment is tucked away in the heart of the Peak District. It’s the perfect base for a couple looking to spend a few romantic days away in the countryside. Beautiful Bakewell is a fourteen-minute drive, and Chatsworth House, with its rich history and stunning gardens, is eighteen minutes away. 

This is a home with comfort at its heart. After days spent touring historic houses and meandering around scenic villages, it’s a delight to return to. You might spend the morning hiking in the countryside surrounding the farm, and then head back here to curl up with a good book. The courtyard garden is a lovely spot for an alfresco lunch, and boasts gorgeous views. 

In the evening, stroll thirteen minutes to the local pub for a pint by the roaring fire. You can dine there or back at the apartment, enjoying the cosy open-plan living and dining space. Later on, sink into the oh-so-comfortable bed – you’re guaranteed a peaceful night’s sleep here. 


Peaky Blinder

With its original timber beams, wood-panelled walls and homespun furniture, this Klidwick barn conversion is the perfect place to kick back and relax after long walks through the West Yorkshire countryside. Wake up feeling well-rested in the unfussy bedrooms before sitting down to a full English breakfast in the kitchen-diner. If it’s blowing a gale outside, bundle into the living space and curl up with a hot mug of tea. 

But when the sun does shine, pull on your hiking boots and explore the nearby Yorkshire Dales or take the fifteen-minute drive into Skipton for its quaint coffee shops, outdoor market and 12th-century castle. When you’re ready for something to eat, head back to your quaint village for some tasty pub grub in the White Lion, less than a mile from your doorstep.

Wood & Spice

Tithe Cottage is a gorgeous two-storey cottage located in Kirby Overblow, a charming village nestled in the serene North Yorkshire countryside near Harrogate. This lovingly renovated cottage offers a cosy retreat with picturesque views of rolling hills and tranquil meadows. Step inside and you'll be greeted by a welcoming atmosphere, tastefully decorated rooms, and an abundance of natural light. Relax in the comfortable living area or enjoy hearty meals in the well-equipped kitchen-diner. Upstairs, two beautifully appointed bedrooms offer restful nights' sleep. Outside, immerse yourself in nature's beauty within the private garden, perfect for alfresco dining or simply soaking up the sun. With its peaceful surroundings and easy access to nearby attractions, Tithe Cottage is the ideal haven for a rejuvenating break or exploring the breathtaking landscapes of North Yorkshire.

Meadow View Hideaway

Quintessential English living meets countryside tranquility in this beautiful stone cottage. Nestled in the quiet village of Foolow in Derbyshire, you'll feel at one with nature from being surrounded by miles of green fields. Whether you want to go out and wander around them, play games with the family, or just stay at home admiring the scenery from afar, you're sure to enjoy the surroundings either way. The garden of this home is particularly special. The outside seating area is tailor-made for enjoying an evening tipple. Why not sample the local Lindway Brook champagne and toast to making wonderful memories? When the light starts to fade, head inside and put your feet up in the lounge while the wood burner glows away.

Being situated in the Peak District, this cottage is in an ideal location to make the most of one of the UK's most beautiful regions. Get the boots on and hike one of the many trails here, or jump on two wheels and cycle to a nearby destination. We recommend the seventy-minute cycle to Buxton – a lovely town dating back to the Roman times that's known for its natural thermal springs. Soak your tired muscles before heading back to the cottage for the evening.

Green Fields

Seamlessly blending traditional and modern, this rural farmhouse is a true escape from it all. Tailor-made for socialising, we love the open-concept kitchen and dining areas making up the heart of the home, where in winter, you can soak up the warmth of the wood burner or in summer months, spill out onto the terrace. Locally, you’re just a short distance from the vibrant market towns of Clitheroe and Settle, while walkers and cyclers alike will adore Gisburn Forest, a mere five-minute drive away. 

A Serene Soul

It's easy to fall in love with the landscapes that inspired one of the greatest love stories of all time, Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights. This cottage, with its stunning views over the moors and Haworth, is a fabulous, romantic retreat. Enjoy the vistas with a glass of Prosecco (your lovely hosts provide a complimentary bottle, as well as strawberries and flowers). This place is perfect for couples celebrating an anniversary or those who just want to pamper themselves (and who doesn't?). We love the log burner, Yorkshire flag-stone floors and the four-poster bed. Have a luxurious soak in the freestanding roll-top bath after your journey – this opulent room has underfloor heating for toasty toes too. Your host Catherine really has thought of everything here.

When you're ready to explore, spend idyllic days roaming the countryside and moors right on your doorstep, like Brontë’s Heathcliff and Cathy. Or go for a ten-minute drive to literary mecca Haworth, and wander around its cobbled streets and the iconic parsonage.





Heathcliff & Cathy

Just as the seemingly limitless panorama of sky and sea on North Yorkshire's coastline feels bright and invigorating, so too does the interior of this home found close to the River Esk. In the open kitchen-living area, a glass roof and large windows on either side fill the space with natural light, which is accentuated by the reflective surfaces on the minimalist kitchen and the stark white walls. In one of the bedrooms, there's even a Juliet balcony that looks out to a peaceful field and distant rooftops. Throughout the rest of the house, there are plenty of contemporary design touches that have us nodding our heads in approval, from the mid-century furnishings in the living room and the elegant freestanding bathtubs to the patterned floor tiling in the hallway. The local neighbourhood has a residential feel, but all of Whitby's attractions sit within walkable distance. The town's beach, for instance, takes twenty minutes to reach on foot, while the gothic Abbey is only a quarter of an hour away.

A Day At The Beach

This charming cottage in the quiet village of Long Marston is the perfect base from which to explore nearby York and its surrounding countryside. Inside, the place is bursting with character. Modern renovations cleverly incorporate the building’s original features and an eclectic selection of colour and texture adds extra intrigue throughout. We particularly loved the eye-catching orange sofa and French antique bed in the second bedroom. Begin your mornings with a bite to eat in the light-filled living space or spill out into the garden for breakfast alfresco if the weather is on your side. For those who like to like to get out into nature, a ramble through the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is in order – it’ll take you around an hour to get there by car. Culture buffs should make the twenty-minute drive into historic York for its ancient Minster and medieval Shambles. Finish the afternoon with a well-earned gin and tonic beside the pretty River Ouse.
