Up to thirty guests can be accommodated, with ten sleeping in the curtained single beds in the attic room. You’ll be based in the idyllic village of Wildboarclough, with the River Dane surrounding the home on three sides – is there anything better than drifting off to sleep to the sound of rippling water? With wood-fired hot tubs, an indoor pool, and pizza ovens, you’ll have plenty to keep you entertained here. 

Posh Peaks

It's easy to fall in love with the landscapes that inspired one of the greatest love stories of all time, Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights. This cottage, with its stunning views over the moors and Haworth, is a fabulous, romantic retreat. Enjoy the vistas with a glass of Prosecco (your lovely hosts provide a complimentary bottle, as well as strawberries and flowers). This place is perfect for couples celebrating an anniversary or those who just want to pamper themselves (and who doesn't?). We love the log burner, Yorkshire flag-stone floors and the four-poster bed. Have a luxurious soak in the freestanding roll-top bath after your journey – this opulent room has underfloor heating for toasty toes too. Your host Catherine really has thought of everything here.

When you're ready to explore, spend idyllic days roaming the countryside and moors right on your doorstep, like Brontë’s Heathcliff and Cathy. Or go for a ten-minute drive to literary mecca Haworth, and wander around its cobbled streets and the iconic parsonage.





Heathcliff & Cathy

Nestled in the tranquil village of Rowen in North Wales, this charming cottage promises a relaxing retreat. A home for all seasons, colder months can be spent snuggled up by the wood burner, while in summer, the garden is a serene spot to enjoy alfresco meals as you listen to the babbling river running by. When you’re ready to venture out, you’ll find historic Conwy, Llandudno, Betws-y-Coed and a selection of beaches all within easy reach – however you like to spend your time, there’s something for everyone here. 

River Reverie

Once the former shooting residence of the Earl of Marlborough, this charming Grade II listed cottage in the heart of Snowdonia carefully stitches together history and contemporary design. Original slate floors and a huge inglenook fireplace contrast against modern additions such as the sleek roll-top bath and luxurious hot tub. The kitchen is the heart of the home, where your clan will spend time eating, drinking and playing card games if it tips it down outside. Light the wood-burning stove to keep the chill at bay or warm up with a brisk walk to the town of Blaenau Ffestiniog – you’ll get there in under an hour if you go at a decent pace. Spend sunny afternoons in the beer garden of the Pengwern pub, just a minute’s walk up the road, or jump in the car and take the ten-minute drive to the trout-filled Llyn Trawsfynydd. Hire a fishing rod or stroll around the water’s edge, stopping for a well-deserved cup of tea in the café along the way.

Old Slate

Set within an acre of private woodland, this cottage is a true escape back to nature. As an upside-down home, the first-floor living area is bathed in light and we love how it extends seamlessly out onto the decking. The kitchen is a match for any budding chef, but with traditional Welsh pubs, restaurants, and a cafe mere minutes away on foot, dining out is sure to be on the menu. Keen to explore further afield? Take to the trails of Snowdonia National Park, cross the Menai Bridge for a visit to Anglesey, or hike the North Wales coastal path – there’s something for everyone here. 

Wild Woodland

With stunning Clwydian Range views and plenty of things to do, it's hard to pinpoint this home's best feature – we loved it all. Your morning coffee comes with a view here, as many bedrooms step directly out onto the terrace, while the large alfresco dining area will be popular when the sun's out. Indoors, the games room and indoor swimming pool will compete for your attention during the day, and there's even a cosy cave bar for nightcaps. And although you'll feel far removed from the city here, you're just a few miles from several local pubs, and Wrexham and Chester are a quick drive if you want to explore.

The Countryside Retreat

Experience a relaxing stay in the picturesque coastal town of Caernarfon, with a base at this bright home, situated just moments from the seafront and all the charming shops and cafes of the old town. 

Inside, you’ll find plenty of space for relaxing and getting cosy after a day of exploring the coastal trails. The light-filled living room invites you to kick back and settle in for an evening of movies and wine, to be shared with your loved ones. You’ll be able to rustle up delicious meals in the well-equipped kitchen and share them either at the dining table inside or outside on your private patio, where comfy seats await. 

Get a good night’s rest in the snuggly bedrooms and wake up bright-eyed and ready for another day of Welsh bliss. Go out and take a short stroll over to the impressive Caernarfon Castle from where you can take in the breathtaking sea views. 

The Good Stone 

Lovingly renovated and carefully restored, Clare and Paul have turned this barn into a contemporary but warm home. Expect bold florals in the main bedroom, inviting sink-in sofas in the living space and a fully-equipped kitchenette for cooked breakfasts on slow-start mornings.

One side of the barn overlooks rolling hills and patchwork fields, so you can watch the sheep grazing while you relax with a mug of tea on the royal blue loveseat. Then there’s the outside space, which boasts a hot tub for soothing tired muscles after long hikes through the Peaks and a seating area for cream tea in the sunshine.

If country walks are on the agenda, there are a number of public footpaths by your front door and the serene Combs Reservoir is a mere seven-minute walk away. If you’re keen to explore a little further afield, the charming spa town of Buxton is reached in fifteen minutes by car. And when the day draws to a close, sip a gin and tonic in a nearby pub before heading back to your pad to watch a purple dusk fall over the countryside.

Where Skylarks Sing

Characterful and cosy, this charming coastal retreat is mere steps away from Aberdyfi Beach. The crashing waves are so close you can almost touch them from the living area – in fact, you can sit at the dining table and see the beach out the big windows. It's the perfect spot to savour a glass of wine and people-watch, but with the art galleries, restaurants and the sea on your doorstep, you'll surely be tempted out. On rainy days, curl up with a book on the squishy sofas, play a board game or two, or just snooze the afternoon away in the two comfortable bedrooms. The kitchen has everything you'll need to rustle up delicious dinners, and there are plenty of shops nearby to stock up on ingredients and fresh seafood. Aberdovey is a small seaside village on the harbour, but there's plenty nearby to keep you entertained – be it crabbing on the jetty, sea rowing at the rowing club or nibbling on fish and chips at a beachside picnic. But for more action-packed adventures, hike the picturesque Wales Coast Path or roam the nature reserves in Snowdonia National Park – the ancient woodland in Ceunant Llennyrch National Nature Reserve is an hour's drive.

Ocean's Dance

Slow down at this Welsh cottage set in the slate mining town of Blaenau Ffestiniog fringing the mighty Snowdonia National Park. Inside, the original period features of this slate-clad home have been carefully restored to create a modern family home boasting comfortable interiors. The welcome hamper stuffed with local goodies is a nice touch, and outside, there's an enclosed terrace to savour morning cuppas. Parking on the road outside the cottage can be tricky, but with a free car park nearby, we don't think it's a dealbreaker. When you're ready for an adventure, Snowdonia National Park is just a short drive away. Or stay local and climb the surrounding Moelwynion Mountains to reach Stiniog –⁠ the views are worth the climb.

Paths to Dawn

Welcoming guests in style, this converted barn in West Yorkshire boasts a large living area with ample room to socialise and sprawl out. In keeping with its rustic charm, it features plenty of exposed stone, wooden beams and high vaulted ceilings, while modern touches such as a striking bespoke staircase, innovative handmade lighting and a sleek island kitchen have been installed with luxury and comfort in mind. Enjoy meals together at the long table in the open dining area, admiring scenic views of the Yorkshire countryside through vast picture windows. Venture off into the surrounding area and experience the picturesque views first hand, discovering the tranquil beauty of the woodlands. When you're in the mood for exploring further, take a short drive to the quaint village of Ripponden for a hearty pub meal in one of the charming eateries and an enticing taste of the slow life.
