This meticulously restored 200-year-old cottage is a cosy retreat found in the quiet village of Lawrenny. Downstairs, it’s all chalk-white walls, original timber beams and hardwood floors. Up in the eaves, quiet, cosy bedrooms with premium-quality sheets guarantee a blissful night’s sleep. We loved the touch of coastal cool that ties it all together – think nautical stripes and maritime bits-and-bobs. 

The farmhouse style kitchen is the heart of the home, where conversation ebbs and flows around the dining table over a hearty homemade supper. When the plates are cleared, break out the board games for an evening of friendly competition. 

On sunny mornings, spill out into the garden for breakfast on the patio – pick up a loaf of sourdough from the bakery just two minutes from your door. Take advantage of the fair weather with a wander through the countryside or jump in the car and drive for twenty-five minutes to Tenby for an enriching afternoon at the coast.

On entering the property, you're met with the rustic stone walls of the open plan living room/kitchen area. The comfortable sofas are set in front of the gorgeous log burner, perfect for cosy evenings in. Enjoy the widescreen TV as you relax in front of the fire, or do a spot of cooking in the kitchenette, complete with an electric hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, sink and a fridge. There's even a pull-out dining table for two. On the ground floor you'll also find the modern bathroom with shower for your use.

Upstairs you'll find the mezzanine bedroom, with a comfortable King size bed and dressing table. This space is full of natural lighting in the day and is a cosy sanctuary at night, perfect for a romantic getaway!

Outside of the property, you have your own private courtyard with outdoor furniture including a table and chairs and a hot tub for your enjoyment.

Enchanting Cottage

Tucked away in the pretty village of Ludchurch and surrounded by glorious Pembrokeshire countryside, this home is a haven of tranquillity. As a former barn, this home retains much of its rustic charm with exposed beams and high vaulted ceilings, but don’t worry, there are no creaky areas or draughty spaces here. The rooms have all the modern comforts you could ask for – a cosy log burner, soft furnishings, WiFi and underfloor heating throughout. The open-plan living area is wonderfully spacious, uncluttered and awash with natural light. If the weather is good you’ll want to push open the patio doors and breathe in the countryside views. The garden has a serene summerhouse, but the best place to absorb the peaceful surroundings is from the heated hot tub. Drift away in the warm bubbles while contemplating the scenery of the rolling countryside. It’s a scenic 40-minute walk into the village of Wiseman’s Bridge, or fetch your towel, bathing suit and other paraphernalia to make the ten-minute drive down to the glorious Pembrokeshire coastline and its award-winning beaches. 

Sweet Valley Barn

When Mary Ann Evans paid a visit to this home in 1857, she was inspired to write a novel. A year later, Scenes From A Clerical Life was published under the nom de plume George Eliot and over the course of the next twenty years, she would write some of the most influential books of the period, including Middlemarch and Daniel Deronda.

No pressure to anybody coming to this four-storey, Grade-II listed townhouse in the present day, then. Straight away, you can see why it had the power to rouse dormant literary ambitions — the view from the huge windows of Tenby Harbour is nothing short of sublime. Even though the interior has been updated in the proceeding two centuries, there are still signs of the home's heritage, from the high ceilings and tall windows to the original wooden floorboards in the hallway.

This home close to the Pembrokeshire coastline is part beach hut, part cabin, but wholly luxurious. Inside, the huge windows and French doors let plenty of Welsh sunshine into the space, but once nighttime swings around, the dark blue walls, underfloor heating and inbuilt fireplace lend a sense of cosiness. There's a modern kitchen complete with a sleek island, while outside, a hot tub and barbecue are the perfect marriage during the summer months — or the winter if you're feeling hardy. When you want to explore all that this corner of the UK has to offer, you couldn't be better positioned. Tenby's South Beach can be reached in ten minutes on foot, while the seaside village of Saundersfoot takes the same amount of time in the car.

Coast Wanted

Although this Pembrokeshire apartment underwent a recent renovation, one thing that hasn't changed is just how peaceful the view from the balcony is, with the unmistakably blue waters of Carmarthen Bay peering through the trees. It may not be the biggest outdoor space in the world, but this seaward orientation makes up for it.

Inside, the glass doors in the main living area are especially generous when it comes to natural light and this dances pleasingly off the wooden floors and white walls. When it comes to the design, it's a pretty simple affair with only a few pieces of coastal artwork nodding to the location, but it's all been executed pretty well, particularly the sleek kitchen and bathroom.

When it comes to seeing a little more of the local area, the centre of Saundersfoot and its beach is all of five mintues' walk from the front door. The town of Tenby is also only ten minutes' drive down the coastline and offers visitors a castle and a selection of galleries to visit.

Plus ça Change

Only a two-minute walk from the award-winning South Beach, this home is primely located for a visit to Tenby. Offering spectacular views of South Beach all the way towards Caldey Island, this luxury apartment has an open-plan living area at its heart. Down by the Seaside

With its baby blue timber exterior, the long shady verandah that skirts around the side of the house and the verdant surroundings, you could be excused for thinking this house was in the Deep South. And it is in a way, just not the USA. It's actually in the deep south of Wales, part of Trefloyne Manor Golf Course and Spa. Guests can access both of these facilities for an extra fee, as well as the bar and restaurant which sit just a few minutes' walk away. The inside of the home has the feel of a secluded forest cabin, thanks to the wooden ceilings, floors and walls. However, the smart design of the address means it can adapt to the seasons — there's underfloor heating for the colder months and glass doors leading out to a balcony for when the sun makes an appearance. When the weather does look bright, Tenby's South Beach can be reached in fifteen minutes on foot, while the town of Penally can be reached in twenty.

Blue South Wales

If you're seeking a tranquil and indulgent stay by the sea, look no further than this splendid home on the Pembrokeshire Coast.
