This is a home to enjoy whatever the British weather throws at you. In the winter months, luxuriate in the vast sunroom beneath a gabled roof and soak up the panoramic views reaching the sea. Come summertime, slide open the bi-fold doors and let the light lure you out onto the deck. Split your time between the hot tub and loungers as the kids run off some energy on the lawns.

When you work up an appetite, prepare a feast in the modern kitchen, fire up the gas barbecue, or take a seven-minute stroll down to the waterfront for some fresh seafood. With its shimmering Blue Flag beach and quaint harbour delivering oodles of seaside charm, it’s guaranteed to be an afternoon well-spent. 

For a change of scene, Tenby is just a nine-minute drive away, or hop on a boat trip to explore the wild Pembrokeshire coastline. For those who feel up to a hefty walk, the 186-mile Pembrokeshire Coast Path is right on your doorstep. 

Lazy Hazy Days

Perched above Tenby’s South Beach, this apartment – which is one of the only homes in this location with a small outdoor decking – offers incredible views of the sea which are truly its crowning glory. Mornings here would be best spent enjoying a leisurely cuppa and breakfast, seated on the balcony as you overlook the shore. From here, you can take in the breathtaking vistas of golden sandy beaches and rolling waves, with a panorama that even stretches as far as St. Catherine’s Island and Caldey Island.

Spend your days on Tenby's South Beach itself, which is a short walk away, below a promenade and cliffs. Then, when you return home, get comfortable on the sofa or in the armchair to continue admiring the views. Even while you’re cooking dinner at night, you will be able to snatch glimpses of the sea views through the windows. 

Shore is Something

Bookended on one side by Saundersfoot and the other by Narberth, this home in Ludchurch is in an excellent spot for exploring Pembrokeshire's coast. A ten-minute drive away is Telpyn Beach, but just a little further is Tenby, home to pretty pastel houses, narrow lanes lined with boutiques and pubs, and not to mention the five award-winning beaches. As far as locales go, it's pretty ideal – close to the seaside, yet tucked away in the countryside for extra tranquillity. And the views from this home aren't bad, either. Stretching out over the countryside and towards the sea, the best place to take it all in is the private hot tub. Pour yourself a glass of wine and sink into the bubbling waters, watching as the sun slowly sets and the stars come out. Inside is cosy and warm, with a comfortable living area and a sleek kitchen that makes cooking up a storm easy. Everything is on the ground floor, so it's very accessible – the en-suite in the main bedroom even has a roll-in shower, support aids and emergency pull cords. We think a family would be pleased to call this place home during a stay on the Welsh coast.

There's a Light in the Dark

A cabin in the woods reimagined, this home belongs in the centrefold of a magazine. Traditional wooden panelling adds a rustic feel to this home, but it's nicely contrasted with a stylish monochrome palette and huge floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook a colourful sensory garden and pond. It's easy to spend an afternoon sitting on the south-facing deck, enjoying the peace of the Welsh countryside and keeping an eye out for the swallows, swifts, ducks and frogs living their lives on the water — even an otter has been spotted in the grounds by previous guests. After a stroll among the greenery, unwind with a glass of wine in front of the log burner or head up to the snug in the mezzanine with a well-thumbed book. Venturing out, two sandy beaches, Norman castles and a few quaint cafes await in the village of Llansteffan, which can be reached in eight minutes by car. Also close by is Green Castle Woods – about a five-minute drive – which is perfect for afternoon strolls through ancient woodlands. Or, ten minutes in the opposite direction lies Carmarthen, believed to be the oldest town in Wales – head there for places to eat, drink and shop aplenty.

Ty Log

Perched on the banks of the Teifi estuary, this renovated former sea captain's villa in southwest Wales treats guests to some spectacular waterside views. On sunny days, these can be enjoyed on the large terrace, whether that's reclining in one of the loungers, lying in the hammock or sitting around the alfresco dining area, waiting for dinner to be served off the barbecue or out of the pizza oven. However, the sparkly panorama can just as easily be appreciated from the huge windows in the open-concept kitchen-dining area or from the bedrooms. When you can prise your eyes away from the beautiful scene outside, you'll find a modern interior that integrates rustic aspects, such as exposed brickwork and a wood-burning fireplace, seamlessly. It's the sort of place you'll look forward to returning on the return leg of a long walk. If you're in need of inspiration, all you have to do is follow the Teifi — half an hour's walk west will get you to Poppit Sands Beach, while the same amount of time in the opposite direction will take you to the town of Cardigan.

Sherwood House

A tranquil country getaway in Wales, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Every day can be a new adventure of discovering what Pembrokeshire offers. Start by catching some waves on the coast and surfing. If that's not your thing, try sea kayaking – Pembrokeshire's fresh Atlantic seas, incredible coastal scenic views, and astounding variety of wildlife make it a kayaking paddler's paradise. After a day of swimming around, we recommend stopping by a cafe for some tea and Welshcakes.

You'll feel pampered when you return to your cosy home, from a welcoming living room decorated with plush sofas to polished wooden floors and a fireplace to make you feel at ease. The baby blue kitchen is gorgeous, perfect for preparing a hearty meal after a day of seaside adventures. But you have to remember to start your day stepping through the french doors into the south-facing garden with your morning mug of coffee for the brisk air.


Cyan Coast

You'll find everything you need for a relaxing coastal retreat in this charming house, be it board games and books or ping-pong and Prime. Every inch is warm and welcoming, with cushy sofas, a crackling wood stove and a contemporary kitchen/diner ideal for rustling up homecooked meals. Upstairs, two sumptuous bedrooms promise a restful night's sleep, but what we love most is the sunlit courtyard. We think it's the perfect spot to lounge with a cup of tea or a refreshing G&T as the day draws to a close. 

Newport is a pretty market town on the north coast of Pembrokeshire, situated at the foot of Carnigli Mountain and the Preseli Hills. There's an array of eateries, including small cafes and old-fashioned pubs, within walking distance, as well as independent shops and galleries. Newport Beach isn't far – about a half-hour stroll along the coastal path – while historic sites like Pentre Ifan, Castell Henllys Iron Age Village and Nevern Castle are less than ten minutes by car.

On Gentle Tides

Situated in the heart of Saundersfoot, this apartment’s enviable location is perfect for a family seaside getaway. Compact and cosy, the bedrooms, in particular, are a bit of a squeeze, but it has everything needed for a comfortable stay. The second bedroom is short on space when sleeping four – having said that, it’s ideal for families with young children. Getting ready in the mornings may take a while with one bathroom, but that’ll soon be forgotten once you step onto the golden sands of nearby Saundersfoot beach.

Salt Water Sonata

If you dream of waking up to uninterrupted views of the sea every day, then this home in the coastal village of Saundersfoot is for you. Three of the bedrooms offer fabulous vistas of the water below, meaning you can wake up to the sound of the waves and the sun on your face. The living room has huge floor-to-ceiling windows framing the watery views and, with two terraces to choose from, you can watch the fishing boats bobbing in the harbour for hours. The cheerful dining room is ideal for hosting a family dinner, or you might rather grill up an alfresco feast on the barbecue to enjoy outside with the breeze in your hair. The golden sands of Saundersfoot Beach are less than a ten-minute walk away, and the charming harbour is even closer. And, with all of Pembrokeshire Coast National Park on your doorstep, you'll love exploring the dramatic landscapes on foot or by bike.

We dare you to find a home with a more spectacular view of Carmarthenshire's coastline than this. Perched on a hill overlooking Pendine's seven miles of golden sands below, the panoramic sea views reach far and wide, from the Carmarthen Bay to the Gower peninsula.

Every inch of this palatial, luminous home is designed with those vistas in mind. Curl up in the sumptuous king-size bed of the main suite with a cuppa and lose yourself to the horizon. Pad out across the porcelain tiled veranda and slip into the hot tub. Bring your ensemble together on the top floor for lazy breakfasts in the vast living area, awash in deep blues and restful greys. Or come together for sunset cocktails and barbecues on the expansive terrace – the outdoor mood lighting will help set the ambience. Wherever you choose to be, those magnificent seascapes will be right there.

If you can bear to part your gaze, if just for a while,  the silky sands and charming promenade of Pendine are just a nine-minute drive away. A traditional, understated seaside resort – it's all chalets, fish'n'chips, and windbreaks – just as it should be. But be sure to make it home for dusk - the sunset views from the hot tub are out-of-this-world.

This smart home in the heart of popular Saundersfoot is guaranteed to make your trip a roaring success. Set over four floors, it offers plenty of space for a large group to make themselves at home and enjoy all that this seaside village has to offer. With its subdued colour scheme and comfy furnishings, it's the perfect place to retreat and spend some quality time together. The private terrace is a brilliant spot to gather and enjoy the fresh sea air – there's even a barbeque for grilling up some tasty treats. One of the bedrooms even has a Juliet balcony with gorgeous views out towards Monkstone point, perfect for sipping your morning coffee. The beach is a mere four-minute walk away from your front door, where you can frolic on the sand and paddle in the waves. Watch the boats bobbing in the harbour, and don't forget to savour some of the locally caught seafood. The town of Tenby is just two miles away, and if you've brought a car then we highly recommend exploring the Pembrokeshire Coast – the landscapes are simply stunning.
