Nestled in a country farm, this cosy barn is perfectly positioned for a romantic rural escape. Set across one floor, the space is equipped with all the essentials you could need to settle in and make it your own. Enjoy peace and simplicity while relaxing on the sofa or head out onto the little terrace for evening drinks. Well behaved dogs are welcome to join you here and private parking is available. Plus, it’s just a short stroll to the nearest pub, while Bath and Bristol are both within easy driving distance. 



The Somerset Nest

Contemporary and convenient, this Cardiff apartment makes for a handy base whether you’re travelling for business or leisure. The decor is simple but attractive, and this home comes with all the essentials so you can really call it home. The super-fast wi-fi is great for those working during their stay, and while there’s no desk, you can comfortably work from the dining room table. There are plenty of restaurants and takeaways nearby for when you don’t fancy cooking, and the sights and shops of the city centre are just a twenty-five minute walk away. 

The Warburton

Just a fifteen-minute walk from Penarth's seafront, beach and pretty pier, this stylish modern home is part of a period building with a surprising past. A landmark in the town for the past century, it was once a motor repair shop and petrol station. Recently converted to luxury apartments, there's plenty of the Art Deco exterior left for fans of design and architecture – nowhere more so than the communal courtyard to the rear.

Set over two floors, this home boasts panoramic rooftop views from its huge living room windows and a really high-end finish. Styled to perfection with parquet flooring, sumptuous furnishings and a contemporary kitchen, it's a classy home with plenty of room for up to six. We particularly love the bright bedrooms, with their comfy, oversize beds and ensuite bathrooms, and there's even a small balcony so there's somewhere to sip your coffee in the sunshine.

Just a ten-minute drive from the bright lights of Cardiff, there's plenty to see and do just here if you're looking for a seaside break, and there are all sorts of places to eat and drink in the neighbourhood. And if you're missing your fitness routine, this place has the perfect solution thanks to an arrangement with the gym on the ground floor.

The Old Motor Shop

Compact but practical and modern, this one-bedroom apartment is ideal for everyone from solo nomads on a tour of the UK's castles – Cardiff's lies only minutes away – to romantic weekends in the city and even business trips. The heart of Cardiff with restaurants – great for candlelit dinners – and cafes – for work meet-ups – is a short drive or twenty-five-minute walk away. Though the home is small, there's room enough to comfortably fit two, though we could caution taller guests to watch their heads around the sloped ceilings. Short-stay parking is available outside the home, but Westville Road is best for all-day parking and is a five-minute stroll from the flat.

The Bassey

Located on the ground floor of a converted Victorian house, this ground-floor apartment has arguably the best position at the address. This is down to the private terrace, accessible through the bedroom's glass doors, which is a lovely place in which to sit and soak up the sunshine on summer afternoons.

The interior escapes the gloomy fate of many a ground floor flat thanks to the skylight above the kitchen, which fills the space with natural light. There's a reassuring quality to the furnishings and fittings, especially the minimalist kitchen and the dark bathroom.

Located on the outskirts of Roath, the local area has a laid-back feel popular with families and young professionals. That being said, the bright lights of the Welsh capital aren't too far away — the restaurants and venues of Cardiff Bay take little over ten minutes to reach in the car.

Bluebird Feather

From the moment you see the grand stone exterior and cobbled courtyard, you’ll know that this ever-so-charming home is steeped in history. It's a former malthouse that’s over 300 years old and filled with traditional features. When you step into the entrance hall, you’re entering through the large oak door onto the original cart-way, and as you start trying to choose which bedroom you want to lay claim to, you’ll be winding your way up a turret stairway with rope bannisters, surrounded by wooden beams and original fireplaces. The interior has been fully renovated, with a modern handmade kitchen, squishy sofas, and cute-as-a-button bedrooms. Sip your afternoon tea perched on the sunny window seat with a good book in hand (there's an extensive collection to choose from), while gazing at the expansive green views of the playing fields and village church in the backdrop. Elsewhere, the large 14-seater pine dining table will be the perfect spot to savour a slow dinner with the entire group. Although in the garden you'll notice a patio, complete with outdoor furniture, that’s ideal for wine and cheese nights – there's a large lawn and a range of outdoor games available too (including table tennis) for hours of early evening fun. You don’t have to go far to continue the historical theme, as the pub next door is one of the oldest in the country and has been the resting place for many a monarch visiting the area since the 15th century. The surrounding county town, Frome, just a fifteen-minute drive away, was voted one of the best places to live in the UK - explore the rich history, shop at independent boutiques, buy fresh produce at the local market or dine at one of the many eateries dotted around nearby.

Malter’s Rest

This charming three-storey Georgian townhouse is a perfect base for exploring Bath and the scenic Cotswolds. Tucked away on a quiet private road in the village of Batheaston, you're just a 10-minute drive from Bath’s city centre, where you can enjoy charming pubs, local shops, and delicious eateries. Inside, the house blends timeless character with modern elegance. Cosy rooms with thoughtful design and fireplaces add a relaxing touch, making it the ideal retreat after a day of exploring the area’s stunning countryside and nearby villages.

Georgian Blue

Situated in the vibrant area of Roath, everything you need for a city retreat is on your doorstep. The apartment has more than enough communal space for entertaining and is a relaxing base for those exploring the city. You'll find plenty of restaurants and cafes on Wellfield Road, seconds away. Although if you do fancy cooking yourself – you'll find the famous Cardiff Market in the city. Located within walking distance of the centre – you needn't worry about driving or taking public transport. 

The Jones

Bold and quirky, this apartment is perfect for a business trip, solo explorations or a romantic city break. Only a twenty-five-minute walk from Cardiff's city centre, you're close to shops, vibrant restaurants and museums. And if you time it right, you can also catch a game or live music performance at the famous Principality Stadium. The open dining, living and kitchen space is bright – thanks to the large windows – and comfortable for two. There are some free on-street spaces a short walk away – your host will be happy to point them out to you.

The Edwards

This newly built Cardiff townhouse may have crisp, contemporary exteriors, but inside, it's a more homely picture. Out with the minimalist and in with curated antiques and artwork, this bolthole suits those looking for a more characterful, lived-in feel. With bedrooms spaced apart over two levels, it's perfect for friends or colleagues who appreciate a little more privacy. And set just a lazy ten-minute stroll from Cardiff's centre, its location is spot on – as is that private parking space when it's time to say adieu.

Paint a Picture

Set on the top floor of a unique Victorian conversion, this modern pad has everything you'll need for a Cardiff getaway. There's the sleek kitchen, where you can whip up breakfast before exploring or tasty dinners to enjoy with a glass of wine around the table. Fast wifi makes working from home a breeze if you're in town on business – the dining table can double as a desk – and the in-ceiling speakers make listening to your favourite albums or podcasts easy. Or just sink into the plush sofa and rest weary legs after a long day wandering as your favourite show streams on the smart TV. 

Location-wise, this is a residential neighbourhood popular with students. You'll find grocery stores, eateries and local pubs along City Road and Albany Road (both ten minutes on foot), with even more options in the city centre, a twenty-minute walk away. Whether you consider yourself a sports fan or history buff, a foodie or fashionista, Cardiff has something for everyone – plus, if you fancy a night on the town, you can't beat the vibrant bar scene, either.

Tomorrow's Surprise

Part of a former 16th century farmhouse, this cute home in the Somerset countryside is perfect for a peaceful escape. Secluded and intimate, it has a homely vibe that's made for couples on a romantic getaway. 

A fireplace and wood burning stove create a cosy ambiance, supported by the low-vaulted wooden beams and comfy sofa. Whether you're visiting in the glorious months of summer or the romantic winter season, the living room is a snug place to settle with a cup of hot chocolate or tea.

If you do visit in the summer, you'll love dining alfresco on the table in the courtyard. Share toast in the mornings, complemented by a cup of coffee, before moving on to a glass of cava in the evenings. Picturesque and quiet, the only sounds you'll hear are the birds singing in the skies above. 

If you fancied spreading your legs further than the courtyard, you'll reach the award-winning pubs in Broadway in just a few minutes' walk. Slightly further up the road, the quaint town Ilminster can be reached in five minutes by car – here, you'll find coffee shops, vintage stores and inviting cafes.
