This home is located 30 metres from the beach, and just outside pretty Petalidi, a little coastal village that offers a dreamy break to beach lovers and cobblestone street explorers alike. It offers the ideal retreat to return to when not out exploring the idyllic coast of this Greek haven.

Start your day by venturing out along the underground passage that goes directly from your home to the beach, and watch the sun come up over the gorgeous blue waves of the Messenian Gulf while you paddle on the shore. Come back up to your modern dwelling to grab yourself a delicious breakfast of Greek yoghurt with honey and granola, and tuck in at your stylish dining set. Make yourself up an ouzo cocktail and sit out on your stunning pool deck while gazing out over the sparkling sea view. Cool off from the midday sun with some lengths of your private pool, before reclining back on your hanging lounger chair. As the evening rolls in, make a pitcher of sundowners and sit out together on your outdoor table and chairs, and enjoy uninterrupted views of the sunset.

Inside the traditional stone building, you'll find light and airy living spaces where you can kick back and relax in style. Flop down on the sofa and hide from the heat with a good book, play a game of chess, or perfect your cooking in the sleek kitchen. Outside on the balcony, you can admire the stunning views across the gulf to the neighbouring islands – it's the ideal spot to enjoy your morning coffee or sip a sundowner at the end of the day. And, down on the ground floor, you'll find a sparkling swimming pool – plunge in for a refreshing dip, before drying off on one of the loungers.

Beach fans will be delighted that there are several great beaches and hidden coves within a short drive from here. You'll find lots of crystal clear beaches within a couple of kilometres, and the Sunken City of Ancient Epidaurusis just a little further, where you can snorkel over historic ruins. Culture vultures can also visit the stunning Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus – only fifteen kilometres away – if you're lucky, you might even be able to catch a play in this well-preserved amphitheatre.

If you’re anything like us, though, you’ll spend most of your time outside, swimming in the private pool, lounging on the terrace, and gazing at the yachts cruising by.

Although the villa certainly feels like it's in a secluded location, it's only eight minutes' drive to the seaside village of Porto Cheli, which offers a beach and a handful of restaurants. It's also easy to catch a ferry over to the nearby islands of Spetses and Hydra.

Mother Nature's Recipes

This dreamy home in Peloponnese is a true haven away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. With wonderful views across to the water, a range of great amenities, and plenty of elegance, you'll settle in within no time at all.

The property consists of the main villa, along with an independent guest house that sleeps two people, making this an excellent pick for groups who want plenty of space. The interiors are cloaked in soothing shades and combine traditional details with contemporary style. And, the outdoor space is just as special, offering plenty of room to soak up the sun along with a pergola where you can eat and relax in the shade. Best of all, there's a glittering swimming pool where you can float under the clear blue sky.

From here, you can head down to Petrothalassa Beach for a wonderful day on the sand – it's south-facing, making it a very sheltered spot. The resort town of Porto Heli is only three kilometres away, where you'll find a range of shops, cafés, and restaurants to try out – make sure you sample some of the local seafood. And, if a day trip is on the cards, then take a water taxi over to Spetses to explore the island. 

Touch of Magic

This amazing Greek villa is located on the North-East coast of the Island of Kea. The stone house looks out over the beautiful turquoise ocean with a view of the island of Euboea and the coast of Attica. 

The perfect home for relaxing and recovering, why not take so time to lounge in the Greek sunshine and enjoy the warmth of its rays on your skin. Then, slip into the cooling waters of the freshwater swimming pool, and enjoy the stunning views while you float leisurely in the pool. 

Just a six-minute drive to Otzias, you can enjoy the sandy beaches and soothing sound of waves lapping at the shore, or dine in one of the local Tavernas. The village of Vourkari – just an eight-minute drive away – provides an opportunity for not only beach days but also scuba diving experiences. 

Coressia, the island’s port, is just a twelve-minute drive away, while the capital Ioulis is a twenty-five-minute drive away. In Ioulis you will be able to visit the archaeological museum and even see the Lion of Kea – an impressive early Greek stone monument that dates back to the Archaic period. 

What’s more, there is a regular ferry connection between Athens and Kea which takes about an hour, taking you to the Lavrion port. From here, you can drive about fifty-six minutes to Greece’s capital and explore everything Athens has to offer. 

After all your exploring, return home to the villa in the evening and cook some delicious souvlaki on the barbecue before dining alfresco as you enjoy the sun setting over the vista.

Plus, it’s just a short drive to Korakia beach and the nearest amenities.
