It's fair to say that each of the Greek islands has a distinct identity and Spetses appeals to those fond of the finer things in life, with plenty of high-end restaurants and boutiques dotted across the map. You'll also find some rather impressive villas, such as this majestic home.

Spread across three floors, the star of the show has to be the swimming pool surrounded by a terrace with loungers on which to dry off after a dip. Up on the top floor, you'll find another terrace with pleasingly green views, but if you need a break from the sun, there's a verandah with a dining table and a hammock practically begging for a post-lunch snooze.

The interior feels typically Greek with whitewashed walls, shuttered windows and a few boho touches in the furnishings and decorations. The glass doors on the ground floor bring in plenty of natural light, as well as a burst of fresh air when swung open. We've also got kind words for the contemporarily styled kitchen in a dashing shade of grey, too.

When it comes to seeing a little more is the island, there are small beaches within three hundred metres of the home, while the larger Kaiki beach takes about ten minutes to reach on foot. The port town of Spetses is a similar amount of time in the opposite direction and offers a great choice of restaurants and a pair of museums to explore.



Tonic Saronic

Nestled on the hillside above the Bay of Tolo, you'll find this beautiful villa. With plenty of space, incredible gardens, and a fabulous location, it's the ideal place to press pause and recharge your batteries. 

This home has been designed to make the most of the fantastic coastal views – you can wake up and step straight onto the balcony and sip your coffee as you admire the stunning scenery. Come afternoon, you'll want to make the most of the Greek sunshine and stretch out on a lounger to catch some rays, before plunging into the pool for a refreshing swim. And, when evening rolls around, mix some cocktails to sip on the terrace before you serve up a tasty alfresco feast under the pergola.

Take a three-minute drive down into the village of Tolo to visit the long sandy beach and dine on fresh seafood at the local tavernas. The historic town of Nafplio is just twelve minutes away by car, where you'll find fascinating museums, winding streets, and even an imposing castle. And, then at the end of the day, you can head home for a long soak in the hot tub under the stars – bliss. 

Perfect Blend

Situated within striking distance of the city’s major landmarks, this homely apartment is perfectly placed for exploring all that Kalamata has to offer. Whether you’re here for the ancient architecture, the winding old town, or the dreamy harbour, this place has got you covered, perched just 800m from the city’s central square. Soak up gorgeous views from Kalamata’s Castle, settle in for an afternoon of sunbathing at the beach, or sample authentic Greek cuisine at a local restaurant. Bon appétit!

Later, when you’ve had your fill of being out and about, you’ll come home to a cosy apartment in one of Kalamata’s quietest neighbourhoods, perfect for unwinding after a busy day of sightseeing. With two terraces at your disposal, we wouldn’t blame you if you wanted to spend the rest of the evening in the open air, sipping a cool glass of wine as you watch the sun go down over the city’s rooftops. Then, when it’s time to turn in for the night, snuggle up in your comfy double bed and let your memories of the day lull you to sleep.

Drifting Reeds

With the glistening waters of the Argolic Gulf and the looming landmass of Argolis on the horizon, plus olive groves and evergreen forest to either side, you couldn't ask for a better view than the one this villa enjoys.

As you would hope, there are plenty of ways to admire this panorama, whether it's while paddling in the swimming pool, dining on the terrace or catching some rays on one of the loungers.

Inside, there's a rustic feel to the design thanks to the stone walls and floor, as well as the terracotta tiling. When the sun goes down, what better way to end the day than lighting up one of the fireplaces and curling up on a leather sofa?

Although the villa certainly feels like it's in a secluded location, it's only eight minutes' drive to the seaside village of Porto Cheli, which offers a beach and a handful of restaurants. It's also easy to catch a ferry over to the nearby islands of Spetses and Hydra.

Outside of the whitewashed walls, the charming town of Porto Heli is just a three-minute drive away. Find quaint tavernas serving souvlaki, halloumi and taramasalata, accompanied by a glass of crisp wine. Drive slightly further and reach the golden sands of the beach – the perfect place to while away idle hours underneath the Mediterranean sun.

With olive trees and blue skies as far as the eye can see, and the Ionian Sea sparkling in the distance, at this modern Greek home you'll feel instantly at one with nature. The understated and comfortable home is fitted with everything you'll need for a stress-free stay, including a few extras – there's a communal barbecue, fitness room and children's playground on-site for your use. When you're ready to explore the stunning surrounding area, you're spoiled for scenic places to visit. Winding your way through silver-sheened groves, you'll reach the white-sand Zacharo beach in just ten minutes, stopping at a traditional taverna en route to sample local specialities. 

Land Meets Sea

Nestled on the edge of a cliff, close to Peloponnese's coastline, you'll find this smart villa. Tranquil and chic, it's the perfect place to switch off and enjoy exploring the Greek peninsula's beautiful landscapes and charming towns. 

Step inside, and you'll find a sophisticated space with a soothing colour scheme and plenty of natural textures. Pour a glass of Greek wine and kick back on the sofa as you plan your itinerary in these stylish surroundings. When you get hungry, you can cook your favourite dishes in the slick kitchen – or, head outside to the garden and light up the barbeque for a delicious alfresco feast as you admire the sea views. 

If you're craving some Vitamin Sea, it's easy to walk down to the local beach – you'll arrive at the sandy shoreline of Paralia Melissi within fifteen minutes. There are plenty of gorgeous towns to explore along Pelopenesse's coastline, so make sure you organise a road trip to discover some hidden coves and awe-inspiring maritime views. And, if you head inland, you can join some incredible hiking trails that will take you to rural villages and hilltop churches in the mountains.

Ready to escape the overcrowded beaches and busy hotels you’d usually find on holiday? Well, this home is just the ticket. With enough space for the whole family, this beautiful villa is surrounded by rolling hills and luscious greenery, with breathtaking views from every angle.

Sitting on the eastern side of Argolic Bay, lavish and luxurious as it may be, this place has an authentic ‘home from home’ feel about it. Here you can enjoy a few leisurely lengths, or quickly retreat to the cosy sun loungers for a delicious espresso freddo – bliss!


Blue Shutters & Sea Views

Beautifully situated at the mouth of the area's cove, with Pagagitsa beach's crystal clear waters only metres from your front door. The outside space and activities provided at this residence are the show stoppers. On a day packed with excitement, would you be playing beach volleyball or hitting the ball in a game of tennis? Perhaps you'd like to spend a leisurely day by the pool, gazing out over the Aegean Sea and seeing the sun glint off the water's surface. Not to mention, don't forget a game of table tennis.

Kilada, a lovely fishing village hidden in a calm sea and surrounded by rolling countryside, is just 3km away if you fancy exploring. Can you resist a trip to Nafpilo, where the Palamidi castle can be found? We hope not. It's not one to be missed.
