Yet, you’re just a fifteen-minute drive from Corfu Old Town where you can get lost in the labyrinth of boutique-lined ancient streets, or hit the buzzing restaurants and bars of Liston. 

Apart from private beach access, this villa has myriad things to keep you relaxed and entertained. Plunge into the infinity-edge pool for a cooling dip, or fire up the hot tub to soothe aching muscles with a cold drink in hand. An array of terraces and patios are scattered across the outside space, where you’ll find shaded dining nooks, beanbag loungers to soak up the rays and outdoor lounge areas with sea views. 

The main villa boasts an open, breezy living area where a sleek white kitchen and ink-black dining table are pure zen, and soft blues and teal in the living room remind us of the sea scene outside. There’s a second sitting room which can act as a private office should you need to work remotely – the sea view from glass balcony doors here can’t help but inspire and you can pause for a break on lounge furniture as boats drift by. Those that appreciate a bit more privacy can opt for the garden annexe with its own entrance, kitchenette and sitting room.

From here you’ll also get a glimpse of the expansive outdoor area – another highlight of the accommodation – where lazy poolside days are the order of the day. This address close to the east coast of Corfu is all about pairs. For instance, there's not just one villa on this four-acre estate full of Mediterranean trees and flowers, but two neighbouring homes. 

They both contrast in style slightly — one is dominated by exposed brickwork and wooden ceiling beams, the other relies on cooling white walls and contemporary furnishings —but both share the same generosity when it comes to living space and attention to detail when it comes to design.

Similarly, there are two swimming pools that, again, differ. Both are heated, but one is L-shaped and the other an infinity pool that looks out over the dazzling sea and Greek mainland beyond. You don't need us to tell you that either is the perfect place in which to relax on a hot summer day. All around these pools, you'll find no shortage of lounges and terraces where you can take a breather in the shade.

The local area has plenty of watersports clubs from which you can borrow equipment for water-skiing, wakeboarding or parasailing, while the golden sands of Glyfada Beach take just over twenty minutes to reach in the car if you want to do nothing more demanding than sunbathing. Corfu Old Town is a quarter of an hour's drive away, too.

Despite its modest appearance, this villa is a sun-kissed retreat. The biggest draw is the garden, where a sparkling swimming pool, ancient olive trees and a shaded terrace aim to please. Inside, the design is bright and contemporary – albeit not the most exciting – but all the mod-cons are accounted for, including a nice soaker tub in the main en-suite. As for location, it's a fifteen-minute drive from Corfu Town, and you'll find Kontokali's restaurants, shops, and sandy beach nearby, too.

Nestled within a garden of whispering Cyprus trees, this home is a private oasis on the north-eastern coast of Corfu. From here, you can wind your way down to a small beach or adventure further afield to Barbati Beach (just a fifteen-minute drive away). It’s also just a twenty-minute drive to Corfu Town – making this a great spot for those in search of adventure and total relaxation. By sunset, the terrace lends itself perfectly to evening drinks and barbecue meals. Housekeeping is included in your stay and there is a concierge service offering sweet extras like private chefs and massage treatments. It’s also worth noting two of the bedrooms are located in an independent guest house – offering a wonderful sense of privacy.

With panoramas of the sea and village, this villa is a dreamy getaway on Corfu's eastern coast. The infinity pool immediately drew our eye, but the rest of the garden is just as lovely. A special mention must be made for the main suite, which spans the entire first floor and features three private balconies boasting delightful views. The other bedrooms are on the ground level, so they're ideal for guests who struggle with stairs – although the style inside isn't nearly as impressive as the scenery. Gouvia, a former fishing village with a bustling marina, is nearby – you're only a three-minute drive from its beach. Corfu Town is also ten minutes away by car.

Located near the picturesque Danilia Village, where one of the James Bond films was shot, this home is just as sleek and sophisticated as 007 himself. Inside, style unfurls in a neutral palette of white, grey and black, and the kitchen is proof enough of the high level of luxury on offer here, but you’ll find more evidence woven through the rest of the home. 

The indoor pool, for one, is lit with dozens of lights that penetrate the crystalline, heated waters like little pinpricks, whilst the outdoor swimming pool gives way to a beautiful space of relaxation. The latter is where you’ll likely spend most of your sun-drenched days taking advantage of the coastal weather by barbecuing lunch in the loggia, where you can also dine al fresco. 

Walk the grounds and socialise as the kids run around on the expansive green, and when you’re up for a day out, hit the beach – only minutes away – or the marina. Grab lunch at a local taverna or pick up fresh produce so you can cobble your own meals together. Grab snacks and drinks and make yourself comfortable in front of the projector for a family night of movies.

Historic Corfu Town is just a twenty-minute drive, and Barbati beach is fifteen minutes away – though, here, you’ll also have access to a small private beach. This villa has everything you might need for a relaxing break. The private swimming pool is perched amid 100-year-old Cypress trees in a garden full of colourful flowers – there’s even a herb garden that you can help yourselves to. Cook on the barbecue on the wooden decked balcony just off the kitchen, and sip drinks from the outside bar. This home is more than a little special.

High above the Ionian Sea, so you can soak up the Mediterranean sunshine from the comfort of your lounger while watching the waves lapping the shore, this villa is both beautifully appointed and architecturally brilliant. Walk down the private path onto the beach below and stretch out on the soft sands or paddle in the crystalline shallows. Pick out your reserved sun loungers and umbrellas for a stress-free day by the sea. The ability to glide seamlessly from the beach to your villa means that everyone's preferences are catered for at this crowd-pleasing pad. 

Days begin outside, with a freshly brewed cup of Greek coffee on the decked terrace, listening to the calm sounds of the sea while being gloriously sunken into the wild foliage and sprawling olive trees. After a gentle start, lie back and relax on a lounger with a good book or swim a few leisurely lengths in the infinity pool. When lunchtime beckons, grill some locally sourced meat and fish on the barbecue and feast together in the alfresco dining area. 

When the midday heat picks up outside, you'll find an impressive open-plan space with patio doors and a mezzanine level above to unwind in. When you're not soaking up the plush atmosphere of your home, head out and explore and in addition to the nearby beaches, the charming villages of Tsavrou, Gouvia and Dasia are twenty minutes away on foot.

You'll find many a Corfu home with views of the Ionian Sea and plenty more that look out to Mount Pantokrator, but rarely will you see one with a panorama that manages to combine both of these natural elements in such picturesque fashion.

Perched just above the village of Barbati, this villa has been blessed when it comes to the surrounding landscape and it really makes the most of it. You can appreciate this peaceful scenery while swimming in the infinity pool, dining out on the terrace or relaxing on the bedroom's balcony before you turn in for the night.

Located in Kommeno, if you fancy an evening off cooking, you’re ideally situated for some delicious local cuisine. After a restful night’s sleep, watch the sunrise with your feet up on the chaise under the sweet pergola – you’re bound to start the day with a smile.

Well, it's easy to see why this villa captivated us. We absolutely love the Ionian Sea vistas from this villa in Corfu. Enjoy the views from the private pool, balcony and dining area. You can also admire the seascape from the main bedroom and the living area. The latter is quite spacious, which is handy as two guests will be sleeping on a sofa bed here at full capacity. When you want to spend the day at the beach, nearby Ipsos is a great choice. Or, explore Corfu Town, a short drive from this home.

This is the home for sporty types of all stripes – a tennis court, gym machines and a 14-metre private swimming pool are all here. Sitting atop a mountain, nestled among 3 acres of olive trees, oaks and cypresses, you can only imagine the gorgeous views this home is treated to. You’ll feel a far cry from Paleokastritsa and its bars, restaurants, and beaches, although it's just a fifteen-minute drive away. 

Stepping inside, you’ll find an interior that is exactly what you expect from a charming country house – stone brick walls, vaulted ceilings, and homely touches. But there are mod-cons aplenty, with a luxurious jacuzzi bath and chef’s kitchen. However, we imagine you’ll want to spend most of your time taking advantage of your dreamy outdoor area. 

When you’re not taking dips in the pool or soaking up the sun, you’ll love reading in the swaying hammock, playing cards on the patio, or even doing a quick workout in the outdoor gym area. All the while, the bucolic scenery of rolling hills and luscious trees provides a sense of peace. 

The best place to take in the views is from the stone barbecue area – nothing beats tucking into a dinner of fresh grilled produce while watching the sun dip behind the mountainous landscape.

Dassia Village and the beach are closer to home, both within walking distance. The outside space here is stunning – we love the shallow pool and its sun loungers. There’s even a playground for kids. Inside, you’ll find modern amenities including a Jacuzzi bath and a phototherapy steam sauna.

One of Corfu’s most popular and picturesque beaches is right on the doorstep of this deluxe villa. A private path leads from the terrace to the sand of Paleokastritsa beach where boats for snorkelling trips, tavernas for long lunches and shaded loungers await. So, you can join the crowds on the beach or opt for the privacy of your terrace, overlooking the sea. Sunsets here are particularly spectacular – illuminating the coastline in golden light – perhaps best enjoyed from the covered lounge area with a cold drink in hand. A porticoed veranda covers sofas and chairs all facing the sea and the serene swimming pool invites you for a dip in the heat of the day. 

Pull back the glass doors and let the beachy breeze into the open living area. In here, a lofty wooden ceiling lets the air circulate and the decor is a soothing medley of scavenged artefacts – twisting rope lights above the long dining table and driftwood pieces throughout. We love the blue feature wall by the huge corner sofa which shimmers like the sea outside. Wicker accents in peaceful bedrooms create that by-the-beach feel and glass doors lead straight to the terrace.
