This monochrome delight in the centre of Thessaloniki first caught our attention with its cool and consistent colour scheme. We especially love the sleek black kitchen, ideal for the budding chefs in the group, and the balcony with its view of the local area. Unfortunately, there isn't enough sofa space for everyone in the living room, but the home's excellent location means you'll have plenty of excuses to head out – you'll find a myriad of parks, museums and restaurants just a short stroll away.

The village of Ouranoupoli is the last stop for pilgrims before travelling across the water to the Holy Moutain, or Mount Athos. While this incredible trip is what draws most visitors, the beauty of the town’s beaches, architecture, and neighbouring forest is undeniable. You'll find this apartment in the heart of Thessaloniki. Restaurants on your doorstep, landmarks within walking distance, the sea only a short stroll away – how's that for a top-notch location? The apartment itself isn't bad, either. We like the jungle themed-design, and although some rooms are a little dated (namely the bathroom), there's a decent amount of space here for families and friends. But our favourite is the small balcony overlooking the street – it's the perfect spot to enjoy a coffee or glass of wine in the salt-tinged air.

A short stroll from the cobbled streets, bars, eateries and shops of Ladadika, this home serves as a practical base for exploring Thessaloniki. With the sleeping arrangements including a sofa bed, we think this home is better suited to families. While the home might be a little cramped at full capacity, the balcony makes for a great spot to spend golden hour, and you've got everything you need here for an extended stay, including a washing machine. Outside, you'll find yourself a short stroll from the shoreline.

You’ll find this home in the heart of Thessaloniki, making it a perfect base for exploring the city. Though not the biggest, this is a comfortable home for four guests and the balcony is a nice touch, offering a sunny spot for your morning coffee. Parking can be tricky and you’ll need to pay in the city centre, but transport links are just five minutes away at Aristotelous Square, and with local amenities and sights within walking distance of the apartment, we’d recommend exploring on foot.

There are shared facilities including a gym and indoor pool, but you’ll also have your own outdoor pool and garden to enjoy. The neighbouring villas are fairly close to this home so it’s not entirely private, but you’ll have everything you need for a comfortable stay in Greece. The best feature of this villa is undoubtedly the view – you’ll likely spend all of your time gazing out to sea here. If you can tear your gaze away, the nearest beach is just five minutes away.

Close to the Church of Holy Apostles, this cosy apartment makes for the perfect base for exploring Thessaloniki. Though the kitchenette is small, it does have all of the key appliances needed to whip up a home-cooked meal, though we’d recommend sampling some of the local eateries. Featuring a double bedroom and a single sofa bed, we think this home is best suited to a couple looking for a romantic break or a small family. Paid parking is available close to the apartment, but with so many bus stops close by it’s easy to get around the city on public transport.
