With the help of some local craftsmanship, this traditional villa is designed in a typically Cycladic style, combining natural materials, minimal furnishings and a side of modern comfort to create a charming home that nestles gently into the unspoilt surroundings. Located in Tinos – renowned for its quaint little villages, vast sandy beaches and scenic trails – it's perfectly suited for culture types looking to unwind and experience authentic Greek island living.

Outside, you're well catered for when it comes to sociable alfresco areas, with several sun loungers and day beds dotted around your private infinity pool, as well as a covered terrace, complete with a built-in barbecue and a dining table with seating to comfortably accommodate your entire group. Wake up to idyllic sea views, cradling your cup of Greek coffee as you ease in the day while looking forward to candlelit dinners on the terrace come evening. There's enough space for each guest to sprawl out, unwind and adopt the slow pace of the tranquil landscape.

While you could easily spend the entire day outside soaking up the hot sun, the minimalist interiors create a refreshing space to relax out of the midday heat if need be. On the ground floor, you'll find a light and airy seating area with timber-framed ceilings, white and grey tones, and polished cement floors. There are a couple of en-suite bedrooms with direct access to the pool area on this level, sleeping up to four guests. Upstairs, those lucky enough to nab the master suite will benefit from picturesque views and a private balcony, while a further twin bedroom on the lower floor brings the total guest count up to eight.

Pack your seaside essentials and head down to the nearest beach, just an eight-minute drive away. Stretch out on the soft sands and play with the kids in the shallows. Spend an evening dining out in Tinos town, which has plenty of fantastic tavernas and lively bars, just fifteen minutes by taxi from your secluded villa.

True Blue

A tranquil 500-year-old hideaway, set in the historic old town's centre overlooking Parikia's main square, this charming apartment is the ideal island bolthole for a couple or a solo traveller looking to explore the picturesque island of Paros. With your helpful hosts on hand, you can toss out the guidebook and simply ask them for those tips and tricks that only locals know about. For an authentic island experience, it doesn't get much better than this.

Tucked away down an alleyway in one of the oldest buildings on the island, the unmistakable blue doors lead into a quaint tiled courtyard with a table and chairs set up for you to enjoy your morning coffee outdoors. Step through the quirky archway door and into this peaceful haven, furnished with pieces created by skilled local craftspeople. Hand-carved stone peeks out from the walls throughout the home, and an original Cycladic fireplace adds plenty of character to the bedroom.

Step through a second interior archway and you'll find a sparkling modern kitchen that's perfect for recreating traditional taverna classics in the comfort of your own home. But with all the recommendations you'll have been provided, it might be a while before it sees any action.

Away from Paros, discover awe-inspiring natural beauty, picture-perfect golden beaches and crystal-clear seas. Head inland to explore the whitewashed hilltop village of Lefkes, 11km away, or continue another 9km to the east coast for a white knuckle windsurfing experience in one of the world's premier destinations. Alternatively, board a boat in the nearby port and explore some of the neighbouring islands.

Erato

You’ll love the location of this villa on the idyllic Greek island of Paros. It’s nestled halfway between the pretty fishing village of Naousa and the coastal resort of Santa Maria, so you can easily drive to local shops and eateries. And the nearest beach is just a five-minute walk away when you want to leave the car at home. Set across the main villa and a separate one-bedroom guest house, the bright and breezy rooms offer plenty of space to stretch out. But the pool and terrace are the real highlight here, with views over the sunny hills and sea, and an outdoor kitchen for alfresco feasting.

Pictures of Greece

This villa is perfectly positioned for exploring pocket-sized Paros. It’s on the outskirts of Parikia, which is the island’s capital and main port, so you’ll find boutiques, bars, and restaurants a short drive away. When you’re not discovering charming towns and beautiful beaches, this home invites you to really relax. The main villa and separate guest house give groups more room to get comfy, and there’s plenty of space around the pool for lazy afternoons. Swimming, sunbathing, and sharing delicious Greek lunches on the terrace – that’s what we call a happy holiday.

Dazzling View

Built in 1780, this honey-hued stone villa sits in the quiet village of Ano Manna. In the big, private garden, large pine trees date back to the 1800s and still provide shade and a forest scent to this day. Here you’ll find hammocks strung up between trees, a built-in stone barbecue with its cast-iron cauldron still intact and a kids playground with a climbing wall, swings and a trampoline. A separate stone building is home to the gym, packed with state-of-the-art equipment and a bubbling sunken Jacuzzi for a post-workout soak.

There are two living rooms to choose from – one on the ground floor and the other on the first floor. A handful of classic novels and a vintage radio add a nostalgic feel alongside rough painted rockers in the sunny window spot. Thick stone walls in the kitchen are a throwback to yesteryear and you can dine at the rustic farmhouse table inside, or the stone table outside.

When it comes to exploring Syros, it’s a ten-minute drive to the main town of Ermoupoli and seven minutes to the charming beach town of Azolimnos.

The Old World

Set a short distance from both the seaside village of Finikas and Kokkina Beach, this modern villa overlooking the Aegean Sea suits those looking for a stress-free break. If you’re planning on trips further afield, you’ll need to hire a car, though parking is available on the premises. Daily housekeeping is included, so you can spend more time unwinding on the terrace or by the private pool. Inside, the open-plan living space makes for easy entertaining in the evenings and each bedroom offers views of the bay.

Serene Vista Escape

The sunsets from this villa’s roof terrace are incredible. Take in the views of the Aegean Sea and the town of Naoussa, or cool off from the Greek sun in the swimming pool. Inside, the simple yet stylish interiors offer a calm oasis, and all the bedrooms have en-suites and access to a patio. When you feel like exploring, the nearest beach is just over a five-minute walk away, as is Naoussa with its shops, restaurants, port and Venetian fortress.

A Coastal Castle

Providing peace and quiet from its hillside setting yet less than a ten-minute drive from the heart of Tinos Town, this villa offers the best of both worlds. Outdoor living is encouraged here, thanks to the private pool, dining area and shower for rinsing sandy toes after a day at Agali Beach. Plus, a housekeeping team visits daily, leaving you more time to enjoy the sunshine. While the home sleeps up to four guests, two will be on a sofa bed – an arrangement we think is better suited to children or those happy with a more flexible sleeping setup.

Island's Wonder

This sweet little holiday home is a fine example of traditional Greek architecture and design. Beautiful stone combines with fresh white walls and blue accents to create a cosy, cool and comfortable home.

Sunny Serifos boasts over seventy beaches and is an untouched beauty. This villa’s many windows showcase spectacular views of the Aegean Sea and out to neighbouring islands – sitting on the pretty stone terrace gives you the chance to plan your stay, using the panoramic view as a map of sorts.

You’ll want to explore some of the many beaches within walking distance of the villa. Is there anything better than strolling along soft white sand as the sea rolls over your feet? After a day in the surf, walk to Livadi. Take a seat at one of the restaurant tables overlooking the harbour, and eat, drink and be merry. If watching the boats and yachts sail into port inspires you, perhaps you’ll head out on a boat tour of the coast.

For truly spectacular views, visit the Chora. This mountain-top capital sits 200m above sea level and can be reached in fifteen minutes by car. Watch the sun set over the sea and feel your stresses melt away.

Powder Blue Shutters

Just steps from the beach in Piso Gialia, this villa is set against incredible views of the Aegean Sea. Our favourite spot to enjoy them is on the terrace, where you can spend lazy afternoons watching the waves. Plus, there's plenty of space for alfresco lunches and evening sundowners. Inside, the vibe is rustic Cycladic – it's not the most modern space, but it's as charming as it is comfortable. When you're ready to explore, a short drive away is Chora, the capital of Andros. Head there for museums, cafes, and quaint little shops.

Aegean Awakening

This villa offers a peaceful escape on the beautiful island of Syros. Here, you’ll be just a fifteen-minute drive from vibrant Ermoupolis, close to seaside tavernas, and positioned between the sandy shores of Megas Gialos and Achladi. Each day, choose whether to swim in the private pool or stroll to the beach to snorkel in the crystal-clear waters. The villa is modern and practical, with a fully-equipped kitchen in the open-plan living and dining space, which is where one guest will sleep on a sofa bed. You can spread out outside, where sea views can be admired from every angle.

Seashore Sand

Blessed with an incredible location on the south coastline of Syros, this villa offers a huge range of spots to enjoy this mesmerising landscape. As well as the infinity pool and Jacuzzi, there are a total of ten alfresco lounges or dining areas spread across terraces and verandahs, so you can change things up every night if you so wish.

The home itself is rather palatial both in scale and design — as you perhaps might expect from somewhere with its own helipad. The white walls and shiny floors accentuate the plentiful amounts of natural light from the glass doors, while natural materials, such as the stone fireplace and wood ceiling beams, have been seamlessly added in for an extra layer of authenticity.

An added perk is the fact that there's direct access to your private beach a short walk from the home and there are larger public seaside spots nearby too, including Ampela only five minutes' walk away.
