Situated on the north side of Rhodes we find this charming villa, set within palm-tree enclosed gardens with a private pool. The house can host up to ten people, with one bedroom having its own private entrance for extra privacy. The kitchen is fairly basic and perhaps on the small side for a large group, but on those sunny days you can use the cosy barbecue area outside. Ixian beach and several eateries are just a short drive away and Rhodes town is a fifteen-minute drive down the road.

Expect late-night hot-tub soaks under starry skies, dinners with the salty sea-breeze blowing in and morning walks by the relaxed waterfall. We appreciate that we can crank up the AC and tune into Netflix on very hot days but the better days of Summer are packed. Set in Kalithies, history lovers will have their pick of sites to explore and local cafes and bakeries to chill at. Faliraki, a nearby seaside town is a haven of pebbled bays and beaches along with a vibrant night-life to go with it. And of course, when you're done with all that's near you, drive over to Rhodes, a medieval city that's a treasure trove in itself.

Pick up a selection of local produce in town (Afantou is within walking distance) to grill up on the barbecue and enjoy an afternoon swim in the private pool. This apartment is spread over two floors, so expect to climb some stairs – though you will find one bedroom on the ground floor. The no-frills interior is modern and comfortable, though, with a private garden and the beach within easy driving distance, you’ll likely want to spend your time soaking up the Greek sun.
