And of course, when you're done with all that's near you, drive over to Rhodes, a medieval city that's a treasure trove in itself.

We love the whitewashed walled patio at this villa with its sparkling pool – it's beautiful by day and atmospheric by night. There’s also a fabulous chilled-out roof terrace – relax with a glass of wine on the rugs and cushions, or hire a projector and watch a movie on the outdoor wall.
