At this villa, style, tradition and functionality work in perfect harmony. Exposed stone walls, wooden beams on the ceilings and glossy marble flooring honour the home's roots, but contemporary comforts abound. There's the sparkling pool with hydromassage jets ideal for cooling off on balmy afternoons, the jacuzzi bathtub fit for relaxing in the evenings and the fully-equipped kitchen that has everything you'll need to rustle up a Mediterranean feast. Inside, the atmosphere is warm and cosy, but step out onto the terrace and you'll have a postcard-perfect view of the sea. Whether you're lazing about on the poolside lounge chairs or sharing a bottle of bubbly under the stars, the ocean is your backdrop – we can't think of a more idyllic setting.

Even better than the views is the location, just a seven-minute stroll to Plakia Beach. There are a few waterfront eateries nearby, but the real action is in Pefki, a quick five-minute car ride. By day, it's a popular spot for snorkelling and relaxing on the sand, but at night, the beachside tavernas, bars and restaurants come alive with music. You'll have even more choices for shopping, dining and sightseeing in bustling Lindos, a ten-minute drive away. 

On Melodious Winds

Only a stone's throw from golden sands, this idyllic hideaway sits in the unspoiled village of Gennadi. In this sun-kissed spot of Rhodes, you may find yourself sipping ouzo in one of the beach bars or tucking into traditional moussaka in a nearby taverna alongside the locals. Just down the road, Lindos will capture your heart with its boutique-lined streets and the ancient clifftop citadel. Further inland, the Ingos Hilltop also offers a perfect run for hikers.

Ideal for travellers seeking serenity, this white-washed villa prioritises relaxation. Greet the morning out on the balcony ahead of a hearty breakfast in the sleek kitchen-diner – we couldn't think of a better place to plan out some island adventures with your loved ones. Once you return, dip your toes into the plunge pool and share an alfresco kebab on the laidback terrace. How about a post-dinner game of darts before watching a romantic sunset? Then, enjoy a relaxing soak in the whirlpool bath.

The Sea Must Whisper

Ideal for couples or a small group of friends, this home enjoys an enviable location overlooking the Aegean Sea. All three bedrooms boast balcony or terrace access – so there won’t be any squabbling over who has the better room – and with three en-suite shower rooms up for grabs, you’ll enjoy complete privacy as you get ready for whatever your day has in store. 

There’s no need to venture far thanks to the supermarkets and restaurants that dot the area, but if you fancy getting out and about, we’d highly recommend checking out the beautiful beaches within driving distance of home. Paddle in the shallow waters of Lindos Beach, mingle with the locals at St Paul's Bay, or head to Pallas Beach for a glass-bottom boat tour you won’t be forgetting any time soon.

Bamboo Breeze

Situated on Rhodes’ eastern coast, within a short drive of Afandou Beach, is this family-friendly apartment. Pick up a selection of local produce in town (Afantou is within walking distance) to grill up on the barbecue and enjoy an afternoon swim in the private pool. This apartment is spread over two floors, so expect to climb some stairs – though you will find one bedroom on the ground floor. The no-frills interior is modern and comfortable, though, with a private garden and the beach within easy driving distance, you’ll likely want to spend your time soaking up the Greek sun.

Sands of Reflection

Life on the farm doesn't get much better than this. Set on the outskirts of Salakos village, in the lush foothills of Mount Prophitis Ilias, it's a high-end villa surrounded by rich agricultural land. Olive groves, walnut trees and nearby glasshouses producing fruit and vegetables make this a slice of rural heaven, and every morning you'll be brought fresh produce, olive oil, eggs and bread from the farm.

Away from it all but just a fifty-minute drive from Rhodes Town, here you'll be able to experience a slower pace of life. Bask on your enormous deck, find a shady spot beneath the palms in your private garden or swim and play all day in your pool. An elegant and charming home, it's been built in the traditional style with plenty of character – think vaulted ceilings, bare stone walls and plenty of natural wood. It sits perfectly in its serene surroundings. 

Our pick of the rooms has to be the main living room here. With its open layout and fabulous high ceilings, there's something quite Hollywood about it. We love the leather sofas, the sleek, black kitchen and the green-framed window walls. But there's much more to explore, with a second living space and three beautiful bedrooms. There's even a home gym if you're feeling like some exercise.

In the evenings, light the barbecue and eat outside under the stars, or head into the village (where you'll find a couple of small eateries) or to the coast at Kamiros Beach for dinner in a seaside taverna. And there's plenty to explore locally too – don't miss a visit to the butterfly valley, the seven springs and a chance to go wine tasting.

Agrology Lux

Nestled like a hidden jewel behind the ancient walls of the Old City of Rhodes, the villa is a shining beacon of otherworldy eccentricity. Located in the centre of this ancient city, everything you might need can be found at your doorstep, while still enjoying the peace and tranquillity behind the villa's noise-cancelling protective outer wall. 

Stepping through the front door, prepare to be immediately transported to far off lands, with every comfort at your disposal. With ample space overflowing with character and history, there is plenty to catch the eye of any guest. 

Step out into the beautifully manicured private gardens and enjoy your morning coffee, relaxing under the fragrant shade of orange trees, enjoying the trickling sound of the waters in the picturesque reflecting pond. Venture out in the afternoons to explore all that the Old City of Rhodes has to offer, from exquisitely luxurious shopping opportunities to the smells of the most delectable tavernas. We certainly recommend a visit to the awe-inspiring Temple of Aphrodite.

Aphrodite's Eden

This trendy villa faces the sea, and you'll soak up glittering views of the Mediterranean from almost every room. Wake up to coastal views from both bedrooms, while in the living space, glass windows ensure you're soaked in sunshine all day. The interior design is decidedly contemporary (think sleek concrete floors) with a touch of Greek heritage, such as in the warm wooden furnishings and ceiling beams. However, we don't think you'll be spending long indoors considering what's waiting for you ouside - an extensive patio area with a swimming pool, sun loungers, and hammocks, all facing the sea. You could easily spend all day here, starting your day with breakfast at the outdoor dining table and finishing with a barbecue as the sun goes down. You can't leave Greece without taking a dip in the Med though, and it's just a short stroll to Lachania Beach. We'd also recommend driving to nearby Gennadi, which hosts beach parties during the summer and is home to quaint Greek tavernas. If history is your calling, it's just a 30-minute drive to Lindos where you can visit the incredible Acropolis. However, we understand if you choose to spend all day on your own patio, lazing on a sun lounger with a book and enjoying drinks as the sunsets.

Sea-Tipped Horizon

Balsamic & Olive is a rather quirky home perfect for a group of four, irrespective of age. Expect late-night hot-tub soaks under starry skies, dinners with the salty sea-breeze blowing in and morning walks by the relaxed waterfall. We appreciate that we can crank up the AC and tune into Netflix on very hot days but the better days of Summer are packed. Set in Kalithies, history lovers will have their pick of sites to explore and local cafes and bakeries to chill at. Faliraki, a nearby seaside town is a haven of pebbled bays and beaches along with a vibrant night-life to go with it. And of course, when you're done with all that's near you, drive over to Rhodes, a medieval city that's a treasure trove in itself.

Balsamic & Olive

This gorgeous villa offers Greek living at its very best. A pretty white home with powder blue shutters, this villa is the perfect space for a holiday with family, close friends, or as a romantic base for two. It can be found on the east coast of Rhodes, close to the small village of Kalathos, where you’ll find bars and restaurants, and some of the best beaches on the island. Kalathos Beach is one of the longest and cleanest beaches on Rhodes, and it’s just a short stroll from the villa. Vlycha Beach is pebbled, with excellent water sports on offer – do you fancy snorkelling or windsurfing? 

When you’re not at the beach, you’ll likely be spending your time around the private pool. Swim laps, float on a lilo, or lie out on a sun lounger. When the sun gets too hot, you can move to the shade of a parasol to read a book and sip chilled lemonade. In the evening, fire up the barbecue and enjoy a poolside feast under the stars. This home is idyllic – you’ll never want to leave. 


Summer Sun

This luxurious boho-chic beach house is a dreamy beachfront base for a large family or group of friends. It’s spread over three floors and even includes an independent penthouse suite, so there’s plenty of space. In addition to a huge private swimming pool, there’s a hot tub on the terrace with marvellous sea views. This home sits just a few steps from the beach, and comes with a paddleboard for guests to enjoy. Lindos is just a twenty-minute drive away, and there are plenty of other beaches to discover nearby. 


Sun and Stars

You can expect to do some serious alfresco entertaining from the sun-kissed terraces of this charming villa. Surrounded by established gardens filled with tumbling magenta bougainvillaea and just a short flip-flop from the beach – this place is everything you've been dreaming of.

Sunny days call for bobbing about that impressive private pool and lolling about the many shady verrandas and quiet nooks. When tummies start to rumble, spill out around the marble-clad dining table of the outdoor kitchen for lazy alfresco lunches of meze plates. You can sneak in that second glass of crisp Retsina as little ones keep busy on the play fort and swings – all under your watchful gaze from the terrace. 

In need of a post-lunch siesta? Then slope away to the free-flowing living spaces inside. With lofty vaulted ceilings and a muted, restful palette uniting the space, it's the perfect retreat from the day's heat. Then all that's left to do is get together in that bubbling hot tub for cocktails as dusk settles over the surrounding hillsides – the sunset views are a knockout. 

When the dazzling sea finally lures you, the postcard-pretty beach of Kolymbia is just a 600-metre stroll as the crow flies. With its calm-blue waters, water sports action, bustling beachside tavernas and magnificent vistas of the impressive Tsambika mountain, its appeal is crystal clear. And just a smidge further, you'll find picturesque Tsambika Beach (a 2.1km drive). Its soft sandy shores and dramatic rocky setting make this hands-down one of Rhode's most beautiful beaches.
