Now that's what we call a view – perfect for catching the sun setting behind the nearby volcanic island over cocktails. Inside, the home boasts plenty of Santorini style, with plenty of curves and vaulted ceilings. Two of the bedrooms are a little on the small side, but we suspect you'll want to spend as much time as possible outside here – the stunning Jacuzzi and terrace area are perfect any hour of the day or night, while the alfresco dining area is an ideal spot for breakfast. 

A Greek Wonder

This is a room within a hotel complex, so it’s all about relaxing, dining out in Fira town and making use of all of those hotel perks, rather than self-catering. Guests here have access to a shared swimming pool where breakfast is served daily by the poolside – or choose to have your Greek pastries and fresh juice delivered to your room. After exploring your surroundings, there's nothing like a soak in the indoor Jacuzzi in the cool of your grotto-like pad. 

Seaside Grotto

Soak up the Aegean rays from this 18th-century cave house on Santorini’s west coast. You’ll need to climb the hill to reach this home, but once you’re up, you’ll find a pretty courtyard, a rooftop complete with a hot tub and loungers and a charming interior. This home is best suited to a family or comfortable group who don’t mind a lack of privacy – the master bedroom opens out onto the main living area here. That said, with ocean vistas and a sun-soaked terrace to sip locally-produced wine, much of your time will be spent outdoors. Perfectly placed to explore the village of Megalochori, so why not spend the afternoon wine tasting at the nearby winery? 

Watercolour Lullabies

Those looking for a relaxing escape in the heart of Santorini will find themselves right at home at this fuss-free villa overlooking the Aegean Sea. Inside, the sitting room and kitchen are rustic and inviting, while the concrete effect walls in the bedrooms add a trendy industrial edge to the place. Your mornings will begin on the sprawling terrace, reclining on the wraparound sofa or watching the day slip by from the comfort of a squashy lounger. 

Come together for a tasty lunch on the covered terrace before taking a refreshing dip in the pool. When you’re ready to become acquainted with the island, take the thirteen-minute drive to Kamari Beach for a stroll along the black volcanic sand. If you’d prefer to explore further afield, the iconic clifftop village of Oia is a twenty-four-minute car ride away. 

Like a Daydream

There's an awe-inspiring stillness to this place that undoubtedly brings blissful serenity and a refreshed state of mind from the moment you step foot on its elevated terrace overlooking the Aegean Sea. 

While undeniably beautiful interiors present a truly comfortable space to relax inside, it seems somewhat of a waste when we are ninety-nine percent sure you'll want to spend most of your time outside on the villa's surrounding patio. 

With a private heated infinity pool featuring floating sun loungers, an alfresco dining area, as well as off-pool day beds to enjoy – the terrace area is sure to soothe your soul to the core. Enjoy the warmth of Santorini's sun as you admire the breathtaking panoramic views of the seascape. And at sunset, there's simply no better place to share a home-cooked meal paired with quality wine than the alfresco dining area. 

At the end of a blissfully relaxing day either sunning on the terrace or exploring Santorini's most sought-after attractions – make your way to the enormous bathtub of the main bedroom to finish the day off the right way. Heaven. 

Soothe My Soul

A little off Santorini's well-trodden tourist trail, close to the authentic village of Pyrgos, this unique villa is guaranteed to appeal to lovers of subtractive design. The monolithic structure stands sentry over the surrounding countryside, dotted with vineyards that slope towards the Aegean Sea and offering views over Akrotiri Caldera and Aspronisi island. Spread over three floors, it's intended to function as a single residence. However, with bedrooms on the first and basement levels, plus a separate suite, it can be split into three entirely self-contained units, making it an ideal candidate for multigenerational families or groups of friends who want to retain some privacy.

When we think of Fira in Santorini – we imagine views of the inky blue caldera, and this studio apartment doesn't disappoint. You can enjoy them from the private terrace and heated hot tub. Another highlight here is the Greek breakfast with locally sourced ingredients which can be savoured in the room, terrace or the host's secluded courtyard (handy as there isn't a kitchen here). Inside, the suite is decorated in a simple, traditional style, reflecting the island. The location is fabulous too – it's 100 metres from the Megaro Gyzi Museum and 150 metres from the cable car which takes you to the old port. The centre of Fira and the Archaeological Museum of Fira are both just 200 metres away too.

Inside the home, you’ll find plenty of places to kick back and relax. Decorated in a serene white colour scheme, with traditional touches such as arched alcoves and built-in furniture, it’s the perfect sanctuary to return to after days of adventuring around the winding pathways and narrow streets of the island. Reflecting Sunbeams

Set on the coast of Santorini, amongst unspoilt countryside and rolling vineyards that extend down to the sea, this villa is the perfect getaway to Greece’s most desirable island. After a day of exploring, come home and relax in the jacuzzi bath before heading out to dinner at an alfresco restaurant in one of Santorini’s picture-perfect squares.

If you’re searching for serenity in Santorini, this one’s for you. This cave-style villa sits on a private cliffside estate with uninterrupted caldera views and those iconic sunsets right from the terrace. Inside, the curved architecture creates a calm, cocoon-like bedroom, while the open-plan living and kitchen area keeps self-catering simple. That said, with some of the island’s best restaurants nearby, you may find yourself dining out most nights instead. All in all, it’s a peaceful, intimate base for a truly relaxing stay.
