It’s also just a twenty-minute drive to Corfu Town – making this a great spot for those in search of adventure and total relaxation. Despite its modest appearance, this villa is a sun-kissed retreat. The biggest draw is the garden, where a sparkling swimming pool, ancient olive trees and a shaded terrace aim to please. Inside, the design is bright and contemporary – albeit not the most exciting – but all the mod-cons are accounted for, including a nice soaker tub in the main en-suite. As for location, it's a fifteen-minute drive from Corfu Town, and you'll find Kontokali's restaurants, shops, and sandy beach nearby, too.

Located near the picturesque Danilia Village, where one of the James Bond films was shot, this home is just as sleek and sophisticated as 007 himself. Inside, a lot of thought has gone into the details. Carefully curated art hangs from the bare brick feature walls. The pleasingly sturdy stone floors, lead to huge floor-to-ceiling glass doors. There’s that sea view again. Meanwhile, colourful designer sofas are there for slumping on during sun breaks. A Bluetooth sound system is on hand for early evening barbecues on the terrace. Perched just above the village of Barbati, this villa has been blessed when it comes to the surrounding landscape and it really makes the most of it. You can appreciate this peaceful scenery while swimming in the infinity pool, dining out on the terrace or relaxing on the bedroom's balcony before you turn in for the night.

The stone home is quietly impressive when you step in through its doors, with its sleek kitchen island, luxurious bathrooms and splashes of colour coming from the collection of vibrant artwork.

When you need to stock up, Barbati's bakery, shops and markets take about fifteen minutes to reach on foot and even has its own beach in case you needed added incentive to make a visit. In the other direction, Nymfes Waterfall is a thirty-five-minute drive away.

The ability to glide seamlessly from the beach to your villa means that everyone's preferences are catered for at this crowd-pleasing pad.

When the midday heat picks up outside, you'll find an impressive open-plan space with patio doors and a mezzanine level above to unwind in. It's light and airy throughout the day, while you'll immediately notice the high-end touch that's been added to this bright space – from the chocolate-brown sofa in the living room to the Eames-style chairs in the dining area – this villa will have you relaxing in style. 

When you're not soaking up the plush atmosphere of your home, head out and explore and in addition to the nearby beaches, the charming villages of Tsavrou, Gouvia and Dasia are twenty minutes away on foot.  

Speckled Shores

With panoramas of the sea and village, this villa is a dreamy getaway on Corfu's eastern coast. The infinity pool immediately drew our eye, but the rest of the garden is just as lovely. A special mention must be made for the main suite, which spans the entire first floor and features three private balconies boasting delightful views. The other bedrooms are on the ground level, so they're ideal for guests who struggle with stairs – although the style inside isn't nearly as impressive as the scenery. Gouvia, a former fishing village with a bustling marina, is nearby – you're only a three-minute drive from its beach. Corfu Town is also ten minutes away by car.

The Village View

This beautiful villa is situated in Kommeno, in the north east part of Corfu. Historic Corfu Town is just a twenty-minute drive, and Barbati beach is fifteen minutes away – though, here, you’ll also have access to a small private beach. This villa has everything you might need for a relaxing break. The private swimming pool is perched amid 100-year-old Cypress trees in a garden full of colourful flowers – there’s even a herb garden that you can help yourselves to. Cook on the barbecue on the wooden decked balcony just off the kitchen, and sip drinks from the outside bar. This home is more than a little special.

Situated overlooking Corfu's east coast from an exclusive private estate and boasting 180-degree sea views and all those nice-to-have amenities, this island haven ticks all the boxes.

It's been designed to show off a straightforward architectural approach, with exposed brickwork characterising most of the interior and exterior spaces, creating a warm and welcome ambience.

Serene gardens house a large infinity pool with a hot tub, plus in-water sun loungers so you can easily slip into the water when the heat of the sun gets too much. There's more seating surrounding the water, with an outdoor lounge and dining area in addition to plenty more sun loungers.

There’s a second sitting room which can act as a private office should you need to work remotely – the sea view from glass balcony doors here can’t help but inspire and you can pause for a break on lounge furniture as boats drift by. Those that appreciate a bit more privacy can opt for the garden annexe with its own entrance, kitchenette and sitting room.

You’ll also find exposed beams, sleek furnishings and the type of fixtures that create the maximum impact with minimal effort. From here you’ll also get a glimpse of the expansive outdoor area – another highlight of the accommodation – where lazy poolside days are the order of the day. Slather on the sunscreen, grab a cocktail and a book and make yourself at home on one of the sun loungers until it’s time to light the barbecue for a grilled lunch.

Well, it's easy to see why this villa captivated us. We absolutely love the Ionian Sea vistas from this villa in Corfu. Enjoy the views from the private pool, balcony and dining area. You can also admire the seascape from the main bedroom and the living area. The latter is quite spacious, which is handy as two guests will be sleeping on a sofa bed here at full capacity. When you want to spend the day at the beach, nearby Ipsos is a great choice. Or, explore Corfu Town, a short drive from this home.

Sitting atop a mountain, nestled among 3 acres of olive trees, oaks and cypresses, you can only imagine the gorgeous views this home is treated to. You’ll feel a far cry from Paleokastritsa and its bars, restaurants, and beaches, although it's just a fifteen-minute drive away. 

Stepping inside, you’ll find an interior that is exactly what you expect from a charming country house – stone brick walls, vaulted ceilings, and homely touches. But there are mod-cons aplenty, with a luxurious jacuzzi bath and chef’s kitchen. However, we imagine you’ll want to spend most of your time taking advantage of your dreamy outdoor area. 

When you’re not taking dips in the pool or soaking up the sun, you’ll love reading in the swaying hammock, playing cards on the patio, or even doing a quick workout in the outdoor gym area. All the while, the bucolic scenery of rolling hills and luscious trees provides a sense of peace. 

The best place to take in the views is from the stone barbecue area – nothing beats tucking into a dinner of fresh grilled produce while watching the sun dip behind the mountainous landscape.

Perched on a picturesque hillside surrounded by olive trees in northern Corfu, this villa has a gorgeous view of the Ionian Sea and the island's coastal villages in the distance. 

Thankfully, there's no shortage of ways to admire this landscape, whether you're seated on one of the bedroom's balconies, enjoying a dinner cooked on the barbecue underneath the pergola, or even paddling about in the swimming pool. Thanks to the tables out on the terrace, you can even drink in the scenery while playing a spot of ping-pong or pool.

Inside, the home is gloriously bright as a result of the generous amount of floor-to-ceiling windows and glass doors. The stark white walls and sleek surfaces work to accentuate this natural light, while welcome bursts of colour come from the furnishings and artwork. We're glad to see a fireplace in the living room, which will be the perfect setting once the sun goes down.

If you fancy a day at the seaside at any point, Barbati Beach only takes fifteen minutes or so to reach in the car. Nymfes Waterfall sits twenty-five minutes' drive in the other direction, as well.

Modern and luxurious, with a fabulous location just a short walk from two of the area's beautiful beaches, this home is private and peaceful. Set in Dassia but tucked away and surrounded by lush green countryside, it's a great place to get away from it all as a family or a group of friends – yet close enough to walk to restaurants and bars. We particularly love the outdoor space, which is huge and features a large pool, outdoor Jacuzzi, manicured lawns and shady terraces.

Inside, there's a stylish neutral colour scheme using plenty of natural materials like wicker and bamboo. Cool and contemporary, the open layout to the living space keeps everything sociable, with comfy furniture and soft fabrics giving it a homey feel. Cook indoors in the fully kitted-out kitchen, or try your hand at cheffing on the built-in barbecue in the garden – you can eat at the indoor dining table or out under the pretty pergola.

A technically advanced home, there's a home cinema setup, TVs in all the bedrooms and everything you might need if you're doing some work during your stay. But best of all it's just a few minutes walk to the beach, down a private road.
