Despite its modest appearance, this villa is a sun-kissed retreat. The biggest draw is the garden, where a sparkling swimming pool, ancient olive trees and a shaded terrace aim to please. Inside, the design is bright and contemporary – albeit not the most exciting – but all the mod-cons are accounted for, including a nice soaker tub in the main en-suite. As for location, it's a fifteen-minute drive from Corfu Town, and you'll find Kontokali's restaurants, shops, and sandy beach nearby, too.

Historic Corfu Town is just a twenty-minute drive, and Barbati beach is fifteen minutes away – though, here, you’ll also have access to a small private beach. This villa has everything you might need for a relaxing break. The private swimming pool is perched amid 100-year-old Cypress trees in a garden full of colourful flowers – there’s even a herb garden that you can help yourselves to. Cook on the barbecue on the wooden decked balcony just off the kitchen, and sip drinks from the outside bar. This home is more than a little special.

Well, it's easy to see why this villa captivated us. We absolutely love the Ionian Sea vistas from this villa in Corfu. Enjoy the views from the private pool, balcony and dining area. You can also admire the seascape from the main bedroom and the living area. The latter is quite spacious, which is handy as two guests will be sleeping on a sofa bed here at full capacity. When you want to spend the day at the beach, nearby Ipsos is a great choice. Or, explore Corfu Town, a short drive from this home.

But if you fancy a change of scenery, take the twenty-five-minute drive to Corfu Town – its elegant Venetian architecture and picturesque harbour make for an idyllic backdrop to a burning sunset.

With panoramas of the sea and village, this villa is a dreamy getaway on Corfu's eastern coast. The infinity pool immediately drew our eye, but the rest of the garden is just as lovely. A special mention must be made for the main suite, which spans the entire first floor and features three private balconies boasting delightful views. The other bedrooms are on the ground level, so they're ideal for guests who struggle with stairs – although the style inside isn't nearly as impressive as the scenery. Gouvia, a former fishing village with a bustling marina, is nearby – you're only a three-minute drive from its beach. Corfu Town is also ten minutes away by car.

The Village View

Jutting out of a mountain facing the Ionian Sea, we couldn't find a thing we didn't like about this incredible home. Panoramic sea views from the terrace and infinity pool mean you'll spend most of the day in the sun here – stick around into the evening and watch the sunset with a cocktail. Although the interior has to compete with the terrace, it pulls no punches either, its floor-to-ceiling windows meaning you can cool off while still enjoying the sun. And if you're travelling with young love, the separate guest house lets them have some privacy – though at capacity, they'll be sharing the living room with another couple on the sofa bed.

The Green Chariot

The embodiment of opulence and grace, this luxury villa is one of five located on the eastern coast of Corfu, set within lush landscaped gardens and totally encircled by greenery for maximum privacy. 

Step inside this generously proportioned two-storey home and you'll encounter an effortlessly sleek and stylish space that makes fantastic use of natural materials to create an informally luxurious atmosphere that encourages you to throw on a pair of Gucci slides as you pad around the place. Each of the tranquil bedrooms has its own en-suite bathroom and outdoor access, with two doubles and two twins providing ultimate flexibility when it comes to configuration.

Outside, there are 14,000sqft of private gardens, with an inviting pool, a Jacuzzi, and comfortable wicker furniture, so really there's very little reason to ever leave. However, should you fancy a change of scenery, there are two beaches within a 300m walk. Meanwhile, the city of Corfu is a twenty-minute drive away. Here, you can explore the city's fascinating Unesco-recognised history on foot before sitting down to a well-deserved meal in the shadow of the Venetian fortress.

The main villa boasts an open, breezy living area where a sleek white kitchen and ink-black dining table are pure zen, and soft blues and teal in the living room remind us of the sea scene outside. There’s a second sitting room which can act as a private office should you need to work remotely – the sea view from glass balcony doors here can’t help but inspire and you can pause for a break on lounge furniture as boats drift by. Those that appreciate a bit more privacy can opt for the garden annexe with its own entrance, kitchenette and sitting room.

This luxurious villa offers stunning panoramic vistas of the sea and all the way to Corfu Town. You’ll find this dreamy pad in Kalami, close enough to the village to reach it on foot and also within walking distance of Gialiskari Beach. It’s also close to the famous White House, home of the Durrells in the 1930s. Spread over three floors – and with a handy lift – this home has plenty of room for a large group. The outside space features a heated pool with hydrotherapy jets and a pool pergola with an outdoor shower. Two guests will be sleeping on single sofa beds in the lounge area of bedroom five, but with views like these, you won’t be wasting much of your time in bed anyway.

Situated overlooking Corfu's east coast from an exclusive private estate and boasting 180-degree sea views and all those nice-to-have amenities, this island haven ticks all the boxes.

It's been designed to show off a straightforward architectural approach, with exposed brickwork characterising most of the interior and exterior spaces, creating a warm and welcome ambience.

Serene gardens house a large infinity pool with a hot tub, plus in-water sun loungers so you can easily slip into the water when the heat of the sun gets too much. There's more seating surrounding the water, with an outdoor lounge and dining area in addition to plenty more sun loungers.

Inside, the home features plush seating and designer furniture, which sit beneath vaulted ceilings and easy access to the outdoors for ultimate inside/outside living. In addition, each of the individually decorated en-suite bedrooms features luxurious bedding.

If you can tear your eyes away from that view, Corfu's magnificent old town is a ten-to-fifteen-minute drive away, while some of the island's most picturesque beaches, such as Glyfada, can be reached in a similar amount of time.

If you'd like to start your days by eating organic, locally grown fruits and taking idyllic walks through the countryside, this stone farmhouse is the place for you. Live the laidback life you’ve dreamed of, where the only decision to make is which of the many seating areas to read your book from. 

Sitting atop a mountain, nestled among 3 acres of olive trees, oaks and cypresses, you can only imagine the gorgeous views this home is treated to. You’ll feel a far cry from Paleokastritsa and its bars, restaurants, and beaches, although it's just a fifteen-minute drive away. 

Stepping inside, you’ll find an interior that is exactly what you expect from a charming country house – stone brick walls, vaulted ceilings, and homely touches. But there are mod-cons aplenty, with a luxurious jacuzzi bath and chef’s kitchen. However, we imagine you’ll want to spend most of your time taking advantage of your dreamy outdoor area. 

When you’re not taking dips in the pool or soaking up the sun, you’ll love reading in the swaying hammock, playing cards on the patio, or even doing a quick workout in the outdoor gym area. All the while, the bucolic scenery of rolling hills and luscious trees provides a sense of peace. 

The best place to take in the views is from the stone barbecue area – nothing beats tucking into a dinner of fresh grilled produce while watching the sun dip behind the mountainous landscape.

Dassia Village and the beach are closer to home, both within walking distance. The outside space here is stunning – we love the shallow pool and its sun loungers. There’s even a playground for kids. Inside, you’ll find modern amenities including a Jacuzzi bath and a phototherapy steam sauna.

Modern and luxurious, with a fabulous location just a short walk from two of the area's beautiful beaches, this home is private and peaceful. Set in Dassia but tucked away and surrounded by lush green countryside, it's a great place to get away from it all as a family or a group of friends – yet close enough to walk to restaurants and bars. We particularly love the outdoor space, which is huge and features a large pool, outdoor Jacuzzi, manicured lawns and shady terraces.

Inside, there's a stylish neutral colour scheme using plenty of natural materials like wicker and bamboo. Cool and contemporary, the open layout to the living space keeps everything sociable, with comfy furniture and soft fabrics giving it a homey feel. Cook indoors in the fully kitted-out kitchen, or try your hand at cheffing on the built-in barbecue in the garden – you can eat at the indoor dining table or out under the pretty pergola.

A technically advanced home, there's a home cinema setup, TVs in all the bedrooms and everything you might need if you're doing some work during your stay. But best of all it's just a few minutes walk to the beach, down a private road.

A private path leads from the terrace to the sand of Paleokastritsa beach where boats for snorkelling trips, tavernas for long lunches and shaded loungers await. So, you can join the crowds on the beach or opt for the privacy of your terrace, overlooking the sea. Sunsets here are particularly spectacular – illuminating the coastline in golden light – perhaps best enjoyed from the covered lounge area with a cold drink in hand. A porticoed veranda covers sofas and chairs all facing the sea and the serene swimming pool invites you for a dip in the heat of the day. 

Pull back the glass doors and let the beachy breeze into the open living area. In here, a lofty wooden ceiling lets the air circulate and the decor is a soothing medley of scavenged artefacts – twisting rope lights above the long dining table and driftwood pieces throughout. We love the blue feature wall by the huge corner sofa which shimmers like the sea outside. Wicker accents in peaceful bedrooms create that by-the-beach feel and glass doors lead straight to the terrace.
