The best feature of this villa is undoubtedly the view – you’ll likely spend all of your time gazing out to sea here. If you can tear your gaze away, the nearest beach is just five minutes away.

This charming little home makes for a wonderful romantic break in Greece. You’ll find this villa just outside of Patitiri in the south of Alonnisos. Sweeping views combine with the boutique feel of the decor to make this home unique, and a stay here memorable for all the right reasons. 

Wake up and take in the beautiful views from the bedroom window before moving out to the terrace. As you drink your coffee and nibble on local pastries, plan how to spend your day. 

The lively port town of Patitiri is just ten minutes away by car. You could rent a boat and go sailing, or even take a coastal tour on a yacht. Steni Vala is a wonderful fishing village nearby – an eleven-minute drive. There you’ll find incredible seafood restaurants and a seascape dotted with fishing boats. The beach is just four minutes away in the car, or you can stroll there in twenty minutes and take in more of the villa’s lush surroundings. The restaurant and cafe at the beach serve excellent food so you can really make a day of it. 

An afternoon by the freshwater pool here is rewarded with glorious views and a pretty pergola to shelter under if you need a break from the sun. The covered dining area is lovely in the evening when the sun is setting. When the stars come out, take a seat on the terrace and spot constellations until the early hours.

Its modern interiors of clean lines and an expansive garden shaded by ancient pines make this home conducive to switching off from the rest of the world. Lie on one of the decadent loungers by the large private pool, or chill out in the fabulous sunken Jacuzzi. Children can tire themselves out on the basketball court and enjoy a movie on the full HD 150” projector. The whole family can get together for an alfresco meal cooked on the barbecue or make time to discover the excellent restaurants at Sani Marina.

Abstract Pine

On the famous Halkidiki peninsula, this lavish villa sits within an exclusive resort with bags of amenities on its doorstep. This place is for those that like a little independence, like a full kitchen, living room and sundeck with a private swimming pool, but enjoy the convenience of an onsite gourmet restaurant and a private slice of sandy beach at their disposal. 

Out on the sundeck, there’s nothing but the cheep of birds in the trees and the trickle of the waterfall filling the pristine swimming pool. During the day, it’s all about lying on a lounger and soaking up the rays, but when the sun sets, the view is simply stunning with islands silhouetted against the ocean and sky. A corner wall of windows means you can enjoy this view from the kitchen while mixing some drinks for the group. The living room is a haven of modernity with a striking red chaise longue juxtaposed against the slate-grey sofa.

When it comes to exploring, you’ll find the resort is home to kids’ playparks, bars and a gourmet restaurant. Just 200 metres away you’ll find the soft-sanded beach lined with loungers and day beds for a day in the sun. 

Shore Leave

Standing on the terrace of this lovely home, it’s difficult to look away from the view. The Aegean Sea sparkles in the sunlight, with neighbouring islands the only interruption to the seascape. This villa sits on a verdant hillside in sunny Skiathos and it’s an all-round winner. 

One glimpse at the outside area and it’s easy to see how you’ll spend your stay. Plunge into the pool first thing, then sit with a coffee and breakfast under the veranda. The views really are captivating, so don’t expect to be able to get much heavy reading done – we constantly found our gaze being pulled towards the sea. 

There are two beaches – Megali Ammos and Vassilias – within six minutes of the villa. We liked to stroll along mid-morning, which gave us the perfect excuse to shelter from the hottest sun in a taverna, sampling local seafood and crisp white wine for lunch. 

The town centre and its shops, bars and restaurants are just ten minutes away by car. History buffs in your group might like to drive eighteen minutes to Skiathos Castle. This medieval site is now a ruin but was once a key settlement on the island – the stone ruins look especially dramatic on the rugged coastline and the views are magnificent.

Part of a pretty resort on the edge of Skopelos Town, this home is a great pick for groups of friends or families. It's composed of the main apartment and two studios – one of which has wheelchair access – meaning that all your loved ones can enjoy their own space and make some lasting memories together. 

Each of the living spaces has its own kitchen area, so your guests can have some independence and create their own schedules. Step outside to relax on the terrace with a fresh coffee in the morning, or a final sundowner come evening as you admire the fabulous views across the bay. You'll also have access to a sparkling swimming pool where you can cool off on hot days, and a nearby shared tennis court – it's perfect for practicing your serve. 

Your host runs a shuttle bus into the port, where you can stroll through the charming streets and stop off at local tavernas for freshly caught seafood. They will also provide four bikes for you to use, should you fancy exploring the rugged hillsides and olive groves on two wheels. And, if you're craving a day on the sand, then head to beautiful Stafilos Beach – it's just 4km away and has crystal clear waters to swim in.

Set in a boutique complex with lavish community spaces, Sirtaki is for guests who do not hold back on a luxurious holiday. With sweeping views of the Toroneos Bay toward Mount Athos from your private pool and ample decadence in the high-spec kitchen and well-fitted bathrooms, it can be a challenge to leave the home. But when in Halkidiki, you must explore the stunning beaches (some of which you can walk to) and peninsulas. We happen to be a tad bit partial to Chroussou, a pine clad beach that is a favourite with children and lovers of classy nightlife alike-at walking distance as well. Be it snorkelling, boat trips or simply swimming in clear waters, you have the perfect home to come back to.

Sirtaki

Surrounded by the sandy beaches and lush greenery of Skiathos, this stylish villa has everything you need for a relaxing island retreat. Set in beautifully landscaped gardens, you can start the day with a refreshing dip in the private pool after a workout in the communal gym. Each bedroom has its own veranda, which makes for a private and peaceful spot to sip your morning coffee before heading out to explore. 

A trip to the Old Town is highly recommended. Wander around the maze of narrow alleyways and browse the array of unique shops and galleries, before heading to one of the harbour's waterfront restaurants for dinner. When you get home, take to the bar to mix a few cocktails, then sink into the sumptuous patio sofa to watch the sun set over the sparkling sea.

A collection of three villas sitting atop a hilltop on the island of Skelopos, this address has a few aces up its sleeve. The first has to be the incredible 360-degree views, which take in the dazzlingly blue Aegean Sea, the village of Glossa and mountains covered in pine forests.

Thankfully, there are plenty of spots from which to enjoy this spectacular panorama, including a selection of covered terraces and the swimming pool in the middle of the outdoor space. You can even appreciate the scenery while indoors thanks to the large windows in each home. When you get around to giving it a closer look, you'll notice that the design throughout all three has a rustic charm, with wooden ceiling beams and earthy tones making for an atmosphere conducive to relaxation.

Although there's certainly an air of tranquillity at the address, it doesn't take too long to reach somewhere with a bit more life. The cafes and restaurants of Glossa take just over five minutes to reach in the car, while Loutraki Beach is a twelve-minute drive.




Terrapin Shell

A mere forty metres away from the Halkidiki coastline, this pair of sea-facing villas on the same green plot is ready and waiting to be the backdrop of a holiday that lives long in the memories of all lucky enough to be there. 

Both houses share the same contemporary style, with large windows and glass doors letting in plenty of natural light, which is accentuated by the white walls and glossy tile flooring. The furnishings are certainly on the minimalist side of things, but there are some characterful design choices nonetheless, including a bright orange kitchen.

It's not an exaggeration to say that you can rely on the weather to be pretty pleasant around these parts and there are plenty of ways to enjoy this fortuitous climate. Three of the bedrooms in the main villa have a balcony, but for everyone else, the sprawling garden and terraces will be just the ticket.

Add to that the wealth of distractions that lie nearby, including the sparkling waters of the Toronean Gulf a minute's walk from the home. Further down the coastline, the town of Polychrono is only five minutes away in the car, while Mavrobara Turtle Lake takes just over ten.

Leave it all behind at this secluded home on the Aegean island of Skopelos. Boasting a lusher landscape than other Greek isles, this sun-baked paradise will provide a peaceful escape.

We fell in love with this home because of its awe-inspiring outside space. The infinity pool is filled with crystal-clear water that falls into a canal, giving the illusion of an endless blue expanse. A line of loungers beckons – put your feet up and sip chilled cocktails in the sun. With multiple places to dine al fresco, you may feel tempted to cook up a storm in the well-outfitted kitchen. We'd recommend starting with a simple Greek salad, or requesting a private chef if you'd rather leave it to the pros.

Drive to Limnonari Beach, a tree-fringed cove that encapsulates all that is special about Greece – translucent water, reliably blue skies and magical surroundings, to name but a few. Skopelos town sits at the east of the island, a patchwork of sugar cube buildings with terracotta rooves. Wind through stone-paved streets before finding a waterfront taverna to while away the evening.

Location-wise, you're just a twenty-minute stroll from the sandy Blue Flag Hanioti Beach when you crave some a day on the sea. There are also restaurants, coffee shops, bars and independent boutiques to explore in town – many of which are within walking distance.
