But should you wish to dive into the vibrant spirit of the region, it’s just a short drive to Elia beach while Mykonos town is also within easy reach – perfect for sunset strolls and sipping drinks in seafront tavernas.

Wherever the day takes you, this home provides a wonderful sense of sanctuary. From delicious Greek meals served in the soft glow of evening light to stargazing from a sun lounger, you’ll leave feeling refreshed by the magic of island living. 

Way of Bliss

Undoubtedly, this is one of the most impressive properties in Mykonos. With two whitewashed villas, two pools, two gyms, compelling panoramic views across the Aegean, and an outdoor dining casita – this villa is a showstopper. Inside, it's a vision of its own, with luxurious furnishings, polished concrete floors and traditional beamed ceilings. Get set to escape reality and embrace island life as you retreat to this sensational Greek oasis.

The entertaining spaces are idyllic for the whole group to spend time together – soak up the sun on the sleek loungers, plunge into the shimmering pool or gather on the sofas under the pergola – don’t forget to serve up some margaritas and hit play on the sound system. There are also opportunities for privacy here – dreamy minimalist bedrooms with resort-like ensuites, plush living areas, and secluded nesting spots under the shade of the beams. After a day poolside and now completely sunkissed, head to your outdoor dining room in the casita for a Greek feast prepared by a private chef. And as the golden sky turns inky blue, head to the outdoor lounge to sip sundowners and socialise.

We can’t imagine you’ll want to leave your slice of paradise, but if you do, Elia Beach is minutes away. If you’re looking to have a night out, the sophisticated vibes of Mykonos Town can be found just 14km away.

Elysian Elia

Staying at this Cycladic villa is memorable for all the right reasons. This modern monument is situated right in the heart of Agia Sophia, with panoramic views of the azure Aegean sea, Mykonos town and the ancient island of Delos on the horizon.

Inside, you’ll feel how much detail has gone into the design. Luxury touches are everywhere - ambient lighting fixtures, stone surfaces and natural, minimalist furniture pieces. Wake up in your own oasis - each bedroom is engulfed in calm and opens out to the natural sand-blasted terrace overlooking the bay for prime morning views. 

Minimalist luxury carries through to the outside here, with warm natural stone terraces and soft daybeds to lounge on, absorb the island sun and get into your new summer read. Two pools with superior scopes of the sea are the focal point, whilst a chef-catered Grecian lunch at the outdoor marble dining table is the perfect interval from your morning tanning session. Mykonos Town is a ten-minute drive away, so you can spend the afternoon on the sea-front at Mozaic for cocktails. Come home for stargazing in the hot tub - the Mykonos sky will spoil you.

Villa View

A perfect location such as this warrants a perfect home, and this smart, stylish villa overlooking Elia's beautiful beach is just the ticket. With staggering sea views, a crystal clear private pool and a mix of traditional Cycladic architecture and modern luxuries, it's spacious and sophisticated. Built in recent years, but fitting in perfectly with the island's signature style, it's a short walk to the beach and just a twenty-minute drive to Mykonos Town.

Inside, there's a modern, all-white theme, with pops of blue tones and some fascinating pieces of built-in furniture – like the desk, the sofas and even two of the beds. A well-equipped kitchen makes cooking at home a cinch and you can choose to eat inside or out – just outside the patio doors, a covered terrace offers a sheltered spot for meals alfresco.

Spend your days swimming in the pool (or choose its Jacuzzi setting in the evening) and exploring the blissful beaches nearby. Elia Beach, known as the island's 'official unofficial' nudist beach is just a stroll away and within an easy drive are places like Agrari, Kalafati and Lia – all known for their golden sands.

Elia's Curve

This luxurious villa is located in Mykonos, in the coastal village of Kalafatis. Made up of a main house and two guest houses, we think this is a great choice for friend groups or families with members that might want a little extra privacy. Alfresco amenities are in abundance here, with dining space and a barbecue in the shade and a large private pool surrounded by sun loungers and a hammock. Kalafatis Beach is only a short walk away, but we recommend driving into Mykonos Town, which is around fifteen minutes away by car.

Crystal Clear Sun

Just when we thought we’d seen the most palatial villa Mykonos could deliver, along comes this luxurious abode to shake things up. With three separate guest houses alongside the main villa and so many sea-facing terraces and secluded shady nooks we’ve lost count, you can spill out in style here. Popular with guests hosting a special event, there’s a team of staff on hand to cater for your every whim and a private chapel tucked away within the grounds surrounded by 100-year-old olive trees. Location-wise, you’re just a short drive to the renowned beaches of Super Paradise, Psarou and Kalo Livadi, and the happening night scene of Mykonos Town is less than a ten-minute drive away.

The Mountain Rose

With a glimmering pool, bubbling jacuzzi and views over the Aegean, this villa above Elia ticks all our boxes. The outside space is a true oasis – morning, noon or night, you can soak up the Grecian rays on the lounge chairs, rustle up dinner on the Weber barbecue and watch the oceanfront sunset with a cocktail in hand. Inside, splashes of greens and blues balance out the crisp white hues, creating minimal, light-filled spaces that beckon for relaxing. Two cosy bedrooms have sleek en-suites, while the third bedroom has its own entrance – perfect for those wanting a bit more privacy. And they all have access to the terraces, so you'll be able to embrace indoor/outdoor living with ease.

For a change of scenery, set off and explore the southeastern side of Mykonos. Swim in the crystal clear waters of Paralia Elia (a five-minute drive), sprawl out in the sand on Paralia Kalafati (ten minutes by car) or head inward to the village of Ano Mera for local tavernas, quaint cafes and delicious bakeries set amongst cobbled streets and pretty whitewashed houses (a seven-minute car ride).

Where the Sea Was Born

A combination of honey-hued stone and pristine white walls, this villa on Mykonos is the epitome of traditional Greek architecture. A terrace juts out over the hillside and boasts views over the countryside to the glittering sea beyond. Here you’ll find a huge infinity pool, lined with loungers and seating nooks hewn into the stone. We love the outdoor dining area, which is shaded by a loggia-style wooden roof and has a built-in stone kitchen for long, lazy barbecues with sea views. 

If you want to keep on top of your fitness game, the views from floor-to-ceiling windows in the gym might tempt you to stay for an extra squat or two and the picture-frame window in the boho-chic living room means you don’t have to take your eye off the sea even indoors. Bedrooms are minimalist and rustic, with wood beams running along the stone ceilings. The real surprise here is the dedicated private spa with its marble hammam area for a day’s indulgence.

Days out can be spent on the soft sand of Paralia Ftelias beach, a six-minute drive or twenty-minute walk away. Or, head into the charming inland village of Ano Mera, a twenty-minute walk, where restored monasteries, shops and cafés await.

Ode To The Blue Ocean

One of a pair of villas perched on a hilltop on the east side of Mykonos, guests staying here are treated to a simply stunning view of rolling green hillsides, some of the island's beaches and the Aegean Sea stretching beyond.

It's the sort of panorama that you'll barely tire of gawping at and fortunately, there are plenty of spots where you can do just that. The swimming pool in the middle of the outdoor space is one option, but the scenery is no less impressive from one of the loungers or the table underneath the pergola.

If the exterior is dominated by bright colours, it's the complete opposite when you step inside the home. Cleansingly white walls, ceilings and furnishings are both strikingly modern and instantly soothing on hot afternoons. Much like many a contemporary art gallery, they also act as a blank canvas, particularly in the bedrooms where some upliftingly colourful murals have been added.

Even better, just five minutes in the car will get you to some local attractions, like the village of Ano-Mera and its market, as well as the beaches of Kalo Livadi, Agia Anna, Lia and Kalafati.

Mermaid's Harp

Over the hillside and just 900 metres away from Elia beach, this Mykonos villa boasts breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea. So whether you're outside by the pool, relaxing at the terrace lounge area or curled up on the sofa in the living room –  you'll get to take in the panoramic blue vistas all day long. 

Designed with the surrounding natural environment in mind, the space aligns perfectly with the Mkykonian landscape and permits guests to unplug and tune in with the home's blissful setting. 

When it comes to mealtimes, there is no better place than outside at the alfresco dining area on the covered terrace, where the abundance of Mediterranean flora and fauna fragrances the air with its aromas. So light up the barbecue and serve some fresh local fish for a delicious lunchtime feast overlooking the seascape. 

If you're travelling with kids, this place has you covered as there is a designated play area equipped with toys for young children to enjoy as you please. Furthermore, since the area is fenced, young children will be free to roam freely around the space at their own devices without parents fearing little ones escaping to explore other areas of the villa at any time. 

When you are ready to take soal up some local culture, you'll be pleased to know that the villa is positioned just 3 kilometres away from the traditional village of Ano Mera. Meanwhile, you'll also be only 10 kilometres away from Mykonos Town – with an abundance of boutique shops, bars and restaurants waiting to be experienced.  



Peace & Purity

Set over three floors with a sprawling terrace, this modern Cycladic-style villa is perfect for a large family or group of friends. Everyone is catered for here – from the basketball court for the active types to the barbecue area for the budding chefs among you. Our favourite feature had to be the infinity pool with prime sunset views. Location-wise, Kalafati Beach is just a short walk from the doorstep. You’ll need a car for trips further afield – Mykonos town is around 10 kilometres away.

The Golden Paradise

With classic Greek style, this charming villa with its whitewashed walls provides a beautiful contrast to the brilliant blue skies overhead. Compact in nature, it still packs a punch and offers a peaceful retreat on the Mykonian coast. Start your day with a morning swim, cutting through the cool blue water of the private pool as the sun begins to climb into the sky and warm your skin. Suitably refreshed and awake, lay on a breakfast spread for loved ones on the terrace, where you can tuck into your food and cup of coffee as you drink in the sea views stretching before you. 

For a laid-back villa day, recline on a poolside lounger as you flick through the pages of a magazine or catch up on your latest podcast. If you’re planning a trip out, we recommend visiting nearby Elia beach. Whether you choose to swim in the sea, sunbathe on the sand or get the adrenaline pumping with some water sports, it’s a perfect way to spend the day.
