Following the stone-hewn steps up to this villa feels like making a pilgrimage to a hilltop monastery. But up here you won’t find any frugal living – a curvacious pool hangs off the hillside, looking out over the sparkling blue Aegean as boats cut across the water. Driftwood and stone accents across the terrace give a boho-luxe feel and there are sprawling day beds in the sun or shaded sofas to while away the days. Everything is set up to take advantage of that glorious sea view – bean bags on the wooden decking and a covered dining area with a built-in stone kitchen.

Bedrooms are spread across the honey-hued stone villa and two poolhouse rooms, including a cave-like bedroom. Each room has the traditional smooth white stone curves of a typically Grecian island home. Showers and baths in each ensuite feel like they’ve been hewn from the stone of the building. The pristine white and grey of the living room are only broken up by the addition of sea blues and navy and the glass sliding doors can be left open to blend indoors with the sea-view terrace.

Every now and again, when you need some respite from the heat, sink into the private pool and enjoy a gentle swim as the sea sparkles before you, inviting you to visit its sandy shores. Glyfadi beach is a mere 900-metre stroll from your home-away-from-home and well worth a visit, particularly for a spot of snorkelling.

While all three bedrooms offer sea and sunset views, we recommend heading out onto the terrace before nightfall. Fire up the barbecue and grill up a delicious dinner, uncork a bottle of wine and settle down on the sun loungers – the best is yet to come. In June 2022, The Aegean Retreat underwent a complete renovation and is now ready to welcome guests. Perched on a hillside with stunning views of the Aegean Sea and the neighboring islands of Rineia and Tinos, this 150sqm modern Cycladic house boasts four bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a living room, a spacious balcony, and an outdoor lounge patio spanning 80 sqm.

To ensure a comfortable stay, we provide light cleaning service every two days and bathroom amenities, fresh linen, towels, and bathrobes. The villa is equipped with modern amenities, including free high-speed Wi-Fi, individually controlled air conditioning, 55" Smart 4KTV with satellite and Netflix, YouTube, safety boxes in all bedrooms, hairdryers, washing machine, and a dishwasher.

Currently, the private swimming pool is under construction and will be available for the summer season of 2023. The villa features a beautiful garden patio where guests can relax and enjoy the most amazing sea and sunset views in Mykonos.
