There isn’t a swimming pool here, but it does have a balcony and a terrace with a barbecue – perfect for alfresco dining. Fourteen acres of gardens, vineyards and vegetable patches surround this stone-built villa on the coast of Paros. Along with the gardener, you can harvest the gardens for olives, cucumbers, tomatoes and fresh herbs to liven up any barbecue (thanks to the full outdoor kitchen and bar). From the lagoon-style pool, you’ve got a beautiful view of the Gulf of Molos and Molos Beach is just a five-minute walk away. The vast rooftop terrace is perfect for yoga sessions and there’s a heated Jacuzzi up here. Bedrooms are spread out across the main villa and guesthouse in the garden, and there are two spacious living rooms for the group to unwind, not including the fabulous outdoor lounge. 

A Reflection In Water

Perched on a hilltop within walking distance of Agios Prokopios Beach and a short car ride from Naxos, this room offers a restful stay for a couple or solo traveller. There’s no kitchen here, so you’ll need to head out at mealtimes. Fortunately, there are plenty of tavernas within driving distance of your doorstep. Our favourite feature was the terrace – we couldn’t get enough of the private pool, especially after a nap on the loungers.

Located in Kampos, just a five-minute drive from Naoussa, this home is wrapped in stunning countryside views. There’s a gentle fusion of outside and inside here. With large windows and doors that open up onto a central courtyard and swimming pool, the natural elements fill this home. 

The communal dining area makes the perfect spot to gather together for long Greek lunches, while the bedrooms are a sanctuary to retreat and enjoy quiet moments alone.  

For a day at the beach, it’s only a five–minute drive to Piperi Beach. Make a stop in the beautiful harbour village of Naoussa and admire the scenery from a street-side cafe. 

After a day exploring the beautiful coastline, the secluded setting of this home immerses you in an oasis of calm. Watch the sunset across the horizon, light up the barbecue and enjoy the best of island life from the beautiful terrace. 

Abode of Bliss

One of the more modest villas in our collection, this home's excellent location meant that we felt compelled to include it. As you look out at the sparkling Aegean Sea while tending to the barbecue on the terrace or make the sixty-second stroll down to Farangas Beach, you might be inclined to think we made the right choice.

That's not to say the home itself is a compromise in any way. The architecture is traditionally Cycladic in influence, with arched doorways, exposed stonework and wooden ceiling beams. Some of the furnishings are in keeping with this aesthetic, like the weathered coffee table and mirror frame, but there are others, such as the mid-century-inspired chairs in the living room, that add a little more contemporary flair.

As well as the beach almost literally on your doorstep, there are restaurants and a few more seaside spots in the next village over of Aliki, around five minutes' drive away. The island's main town of Parikia takes just under twenty minutes to reach in the car, too.

Venture further afield to the Old Port, which is still only a seven-minute drive away, and you'll have even more of Mykonos' history, culture and culinary delights at your finger tips.

Glyfadi beach is a mere 900-metre stroll from your home-away-from-home and well worth a visit, particularly for a spot of snorkelling.

While all three bedrooms offer sea and sunset views, we recommend heading out onto the terrace before nightfall. Fire up the barbecue and grill up a delicious dinner, uncork a bottle of wine and settle down on the sun loungers – the best is yet to come. As the sky dances through an array of colours and the sun slowly drops into the ocean, with the quiet rolling of the waves carrying on the breeze, you’ll soon realise that you’re making memories that you’ll cherish forever.
