The decoration follows the minimal and elegant style of the Cyclades islands. The living room, dining area and kitchen are open space with windows all around. From the terrace one can watch the yachts and ferries entering and clearing the port. The villas enjoy amazing undisturbed views and complete privacy with their own private open-air spaces. They are cozy and well-equipped.

Our beautiful stonehouse is situated a mere 50m away from a serene and relatively secluded beach. It's also an easy 5-15 minutes drive to many beautiful beaches, including Agios Sostis, Lia and Psili Ammos. The port and village of Livadi are just 5 minutes away, where someone can find many restaurants, bars and shops. You can access the house via an asphalt road.

Located in Sifnos, there are some beautiful beaches to explore, all within a 25-minute drive so we’d recommend renting a car. It’s worth noting that due to the low walls and stone steps, this home is not suitable for young children, but we think it’s ideal for a group of friends looking to relax and socialise.

Where they can, they will use vegetables grown in the garden.

The home's interior manages to match its impressive exterior. The white marble floor, high ceilings and billowing muslin curtains make for a space that feels instantly cooling. The minimalist kitchen and dining area means that it can hold its own in the style stakes, too. The icing on the cake is a basement gym-come-games-room, which has exercise machines, yoga gear, a ping-pong table and even a wine cellar.

Although there are more than enough distractions across the two-acre site to never feel the need to leave, the village of Kostos sits within walking distance and the town of Naoussa takes seven minutes to reach in the car. Tsoukalia Beach is a similar distance away, too.

Lunar Power

A frequent feature in interior design magazines, this one-of-a-kind villa merges classic Cycladic architecture with all the must-haves for modern living. White-washed walls, custom-made furniture and looping stone arches give this whole place a serene, almost sculpture-like aesthetic, and with the Aegean Sea stretched out before you, the picture-perfect backdrop only adds to the dreamy feeling.  

As much as we love the interior, our favourite spot is by far the two outdoor spaces. Greet the day with a cup of coffee on the balcony upstairs, watching as the sun slowly rises over the ocean. Then, while away balmy afternoons in the infinity pool (complete with jacuzzi and resistance swimming jets), or just sprawl out on one of the lounge chairs with a cocktail in hand. Come dinnertime, prepare a mouth-watering alfresco feast using the built-in barbecue and outdoor wood-fired oven, digging into your fare around the expansive table. And you won't want to miss the sunsets, either. Pull up a seat, pour yourself a glass of wine and get ready to be dazzled by the purple-painted horizon. 

The island of Paros is begging to be explored if you can drag yourself away from this private paradise. Parikia, the capital, is only a seven-minute drive – head there for eateries, cultural landmarks and cobbled alleys lined with pretty white houses and flowered balconies. Sandy, picturesque beaches are a dime a dozen here and are all easily reached by car – including Krios, Marcelo and Livadia, just five minutes away.

Amethyst Bliss

A modern home in heavenly surrounds, we can't imagine a better base to explore the unspoiled island of Sifnos from. It doesn't get much more secluded than this – perched on a cliff overlooking a wide endless sea, this villa encourages you to leave it all behind from the moment you step through its doors.

Feel like the only soul in the world when you float through the infinity pool, or curl up in a swing chair on the terrace. Everywhere you look, you'll be treated to the island's organic landscape, from rugged groves to sugar cube homes peppered into the distance. Inside, the villa is cleanly decorated with a contemporary sense of style. Your hosts have opted for a bright, neutral palette to let the views do the talking, with whitewashed beams that nod to traditional Greek architecture.

Drive just five minutes down the road to reach Apollonia, Sifnos' main town.  This stone-paved community has been built amphitheatrically around three low hills, resulting in a unique and picturesque setting. Wind your way through narrow streets lifted with bright flowers and painted doorways – we'd suggest finding a traditional bakery to sample the local baklava.

Clifftop Tranquility

Barefoot luxury awaits at this newly built villa set just a hop, skip and jump from the paradisal shores of Mikri Vigla Beach. Inside, it’s a crisp, pared-back affair, with each bedroom as light-filled and spacious as the next. But we think you’ll spend most of your time alfresco, drinking in those knockout sea and mountain vistas from the lengthy private pool. Ready to embrace island life? Mikri Vigla village, with its seafront tavernas and bakeries, is a short stroll away along the seafront. After a little more bustle? The history-rich streets of Naxos Town are just a nine-kilometre drive away.

Cycladic Oasis

With sprays of magenta bougainvillaea, unobstructed views of the Aegean Sea and stylishly rustic interiors, this peaceful villa is just the ticket for those wanting to escape the bustle of everyday life. You’ll feel instantly at ease in the living space with its exposed stone walls, wood-beamed ceilings and collection of modern and antique furnishings – it was our favourite place to switch off and relax. Keen cooks will find everything they need in the fully-equipped kitchen for rustling up tasty dinners but if you’d prefer to take the night off, call upon your fantastic host to arrange for a private chef to treat you and your loved ones.

Start your mornings with a coffee overlooking the glittering bay before plunging into the pool and swimming a couple of leisurely laps. In the afternoon, strap on your sandals and wander down to Platis Gialos Beach, just twelve minutes from your doorstep, and stretch out on the soft sands. Should you fancy exploring a little further afield, the charming town of Apollonia is a fifteen-minute drive away.

Magenta Bloom

For an idyllic Grecian summer getaway, this villa could be just the thing. Combining stone unique to this island and whitewashed walls with high architectural designs, the blend makes for a beautiful home. With large patio doors on either side of this home and chic touches of wicker and bamboo, this villa conquers indoor-outdoor living.

Enjoy lazy mornings sipping coffee on your balcony, before taking a dip in the Aegean sea's crystal clear waters. You're a mere 10 metres away from the rocky entrance to the sea. And for a beautiful stretch of sand, you don't have to travel far either – Golden Beach is only 300 metres away, famous for its fine, sparkling sand. There, you can spend the day lounging by the glistening sea, sipping on a nice cold Mythos or two, before convincing everyone to get on the banana boat.

Come dinnertime, get the barbecue going for a local Mediterranean feast. Enjoy it alfresco on the outdoor dining table as you watch the sun lowering into the cobalt Aegean sea. Or, let a private chef take care of dinner for you. Whether it be souvlaki or a seven-course tasting menu, your host will happily arrange for a chef to wow you. If you want to go out for dinner, take a leisurely stroll down the trail to Paros' fishing port. There's nowhere better to get fresh, delicious seafood than here. Tuck into lobster and crab, before enjoying a few drinks at a traditional Greek taverna.

The chic interior's neutral colours, wood furniture and copious amounts of decorative ceramics make a calming base to retreat to after a day of exploring.

You and your guests will relish breaking bread in the outdoor dining area, overlooking incredible views of the nearby waters, before heading over to the sofas for a cocktail or glass of ouzo. During the day, the history buffs will want to head over to the Castle of Antiparos, while those less-inclined head off to take a dip in the Aegean Sea at one of the island’s many beaches.
