With Laguna Beach just 500 metres away, this villa is ideal for windsurfers and kitesurfers. If relaxing in the sun is more your bag, then Agios Prokopios, one of the most beautiful beaches of the island, is just a short drive away. Or you can unwind next to this home’s private pool as well as on the balcony. We love the picturesque views of Naxos Town, the sea and majestic Mount Zas. Watch the sunset over the Aegean after a perfect day. Inspired by traditional Cycladic architecture, this home is designed for comfort.

Naxos Nirvana

Bright and breezy, this villa on the outskirts of Naxos is the perfect place to kick back in the sun. There's nothing like relaxing in the jacuzzi pool on a lazy afternoon, savouring a glass of wine in the lounge chairs and digging into an alfresco feast as you watch the sunset. It's our definition of bliss, made even better by the light-filled interior that honours traditional Cycladic design.

When you're not chilling out on the terrace, set off and explore the island. There's a bakery, restaurant and taverna within walking distance so meals are sorted when you don't fancy cooking. For even more options, drive ten minutes into Naxos Town and grab a drink on the water. You're also ten minutes away from Maragkas Beach, where you can enjoy soft golden sand and crystal clear waters ideal for swimming.

Aegean Evening

Found on a Naxos hillside overlooking the glittering Aegean Sea, this villa honours the spirit of Greece with its Cycladic design. Sunbathe out on the sunloungers, under grassy umbrellas, and enjoy an afternoon cocktail with a good helping of admiration for the breathtaking, panoramic vistas. 

Meals of meze will feel more like a celebration as you dine al fresco in the sea-salt breeze, and when you’ve cleared plates away, you can move to the bench seating instead to carry on conversations with a glass of wine in hand. 

With so much beauty, and a good measure of tranquillity, too, you might be tempted to spend long, leisurely days reading curled up in the living room or lying in late with a cup of coffee and a crossword puzzle to work on, but this island demands exploration. 

Head to one of three beaches within proximity or spend the day windowshopping in Naxos Town. Seek out a taverna for an authentic taste of Greece and return home in time to watch the sunset from within the private swimming pool.

Of Palm & Sea

Sweeping sea views, a private pool and easy access to the island’s beautiful beaches – this home welcomes you to enjoy it all from its privileged spot in Orkos. You will need a car to get around here, but it’s just a short drive to Plaka and Mikri Vigla, while Naxos town is also within easy driving distance. Back at home, you’ll find the perfect setting for leisurely swims and sunset drinks on the terrace. There’s also a concierge service available with sweet extras like beauty treatments and babysitting services – a great option for those travelling with children. 

Fresh from the Sea

Views of the Aegean Sea draw the eye from almost every angle at this beautiful boho home. The outside space is dreamy, with terraces for dining and drinking in the views, and a private outdoor pool. The space inside is lovely too, though the living room is on the small side – and at full occupancy two guests will be sleeping there on a sofa bed. Happily, you’re just a short walk from the beach so you’re unlikely to spend much time inside. Naxos town is only 10 kilometres away, too, ideal for evenings out. 

Cliffs & Trees

This Greek villa – complete with a guest space housing an additional double bedroom – is located on the island of Naxos and is surrounded by over half an acre of gardens and terrace area, allowing you a private and peaceful escape. 

VIP arrivals and departures mean that you can be sipping on refreshing drinks on your way from the airport to this home. When you arrive, why not head straight to the pool area and lounge in the sunshine before slipping into the cooling waters of your private pool where you can swim to the edge and admire the turquoise ocean.

Within a two-minute walk, you can be on an almost-private beach that the villa overlooks, or wander slightly further to the golden sands of Agios Prokopios Beach, which is 700m away.

Have a day out at the Aqua Fun waterpark – just a four-minute drive away – which provides fun for all the family. Or, if Greek culture is what you’re looking for why not visit the Temple of Apollo and Archaeological museum of Naxos, the Archaeological site of Yria Naxos, or the Temple of Demeter – all within easy driving distance.

Return home in the evening and cook up some delicious Greek cuisine on the barbecue before dining alfresco under the shaded pergola, with stunning views while you eat. Then, end the day with a movie night in the villa’s cinema, and watch a film set in Greece such as Captain Corelli’s Mandolin or Mama Mia.

Amphitrite Villa

What you're getting at this address on Ano Koufonissi isn't just a pair of villas but a whole holiday complex in its own right. Spread across one-and-a-half acres on a hilltop, there's a huge amount to do on the grounds, whether that's playing football or volleyball on the courts, messing about on the playground, or splashing about in the pool, which has both a children's section and a hydromassage area. 

When you want to take it easy, there are plenty of covered terraces and an outdoor kitchen on which to grill up dinner. If that still sounds a little too strenuous, you can head inside and make the most of the sauna, hammam and Jacuzzi. Down in the basement, there's even a gym and a ping-pong table.

All this and we've barely mentioned the homes themselves. Typically Cycladic in style, they're a charming mix of stark white walls and arched doorways, with a traditional fireplace for good measure, too.

The surrounding island isn't particularly large and the nearest beach is only around ten minutes' walk away. You'll find tavernas, bakeries and bars along the way, while the ferry port sits a quarter of an hour away on foot and will help you take day trips to neighbouring islands.

To the Power of Two

Perfect for family holidays, this pet-friendly villa places Plaka Beach a 100-metre stroll away. While hiring a car is advisory if you wish to explore Chora – it's 7 kilometres away – we wouldn't blame you if you'd rather stay closer to home. After all, with a private pool, an alfresco dining table and a fire pit, outdoor relaxation is taken care of. There are also lovely spots on the terrace to arrange an at-home yoga class, not to mention sleek living areas inside when you fancy unwinding out of the sun.

Lyrical Symphony

For a relaxing Cycladic escape, head to this home on the peaceful shores of Koufonisia. You won’t have a pool here but it’s just a ten-minute walk to the nearest beach, while the island’s amenities are all within easy reach. Your host can also help organise private transfers along with a range of extra services – including massage treatments and private chefs. It’s worth noting the rooms on the lower floor are lacking in natural light, but there’s plenty of outdoor space with sea views. Wine enthusiasts will also appreciate the at-home wine cellar. 

Island Rest

Perched on a hill overlooking Naxos’ beautiful coastline, this home offers idyllic sea views and calming Cycladic interiors. There’s also a private pool, balcony and terrace – all perfectly positioned to ensure optimum relaxation. And while it looks like the perfect adults-only escape, it’s also family-friendly with a range of children’s amenities available on request. You will need a car to get around here, but your host is on hand to help organise car rentals along with a range of extra services – including private chefs and massage treatments. From here, it’s just a short drive to Orkos Beach, with Naxos old town also within easy driving distance. 

The Heart of Peace

Perched on a hilltop within walking distance of Agios Prokopios Beach and a short car ride from Naxos, this room offers a restful stay for a couple or solo traveller. There’s no kitchen here, so you’ll need to head out at mealtimes. Fortunately, there are plenty of tavernas within driving distance of your doorstep. Our favourite feature was the terrace – we couldn’t get enough of the private pool, especially after a nap on the loungers.
