You can hear the waves of Lothiarika Beach from the private garden of this Rhodes villa. Peering through the wrought-iron gates, sea and sand are right in front of you. Spend days building sandcastles and paddling in the crystal shallows, safe in the knowledge that you only have to walk a few paces home if you forget the sunscreen or towels. It’s a three-minute drive to Lardos where a handful of restaurants and a local fishmarket await, or make the short drive to Lindos where donkeys still plod up and down the cobbled streets.

Should you tire of the beach, days can be spent by the side of your private pool, stretching out on the slender stretch of lawn or reclining on the rattan sofa.  A couple of sunloungers are shaded by a parasol, and you can hear the sound of the sea from here. Sandwiched between the soft sand of Kavos and Pefki beaches, this oceanfront villa puts the crystal shallows of Rhodes’ southern shore approximately twenty paces from your swimming pool terrace. Heading barefoot down the private path, you’ll find two wooden decks right on the waterfront, furnished with loungers and swathed with white billowing curtains.
