A little off Santorini's well-trodden tourist trail, close to the authentic village of Pyrgos, this unique villa is guaranteed to appeal to lovers of subtractive design. The monolithic structure stands sentry over the surrounding countryside, dotted with vineyards that slope towards the Aegean Sea and offering views over Akrotiri Caldera and Aspronisi island. Spread over three floors, it's intended to function as a single residence. However, with bedrooms on the first and basement levels, plus a separate suite, it can be split into three entirely self-contained units, making it an ideal candidate for multigenerational families or groups of friends who want to retain some privacy.


Low Down Rolling Stone

From the moment we saw the views from this villa in the village of Firostefani, we were sold. Endless stretches of blue radiate from all sides, best enjoyed from the terrace and hot tub. There’s an alfresco dining spot too that’s just waiting to be used for Greek treats in the sun, and when the rays get too strong, you can retreat inside amid the villa’s cool whitewashed walls. There are a few signs of wear and tear in the decor and the kitchen is on the small side. But with Fira just a ten-minute walk away, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to sample the local fare. And when you’re ready for a dip in the sea, pebbly Gialos Beach is 3.5 kilometres from your door.


Sun Shores

As sweet as a sugar cube and dazzlingly white against the blue of the sky and sea, this villa captures all the serene beauty for which Santorini is known. 

Blue shutters and doors add that signature Santorini feel, while the private pool and outdoor seating create the perfect canvas for a luxurious island stay. Enjoy the a la carte breakfast made with locally sourced produce beneath the shaded pergola before spending the afternoon catching some rays on the sun loungers and taking cool dips in the pool. Evenings call for magical sunset feasts courtesy of the barbecue, followed by a blissful night’s sleep in the calm, comfortable bedrooms. With desk areas here too, there’s no reason not to pen an ode to Greek beauty, and after a day at nearby Vourvoulos Beach (an eight-minute walk), the en-suite rainfall showers are sure to be enjoyed. 

While you could easily while away the entire day in your private oasis, hop in the car to discover Santorini’s stunning sights. Thera’s cascade of cubist buildings is an eight-minute drive away, the Heart of Santorini viewing point is a fifteen-minute drive and the clifftop town of Oia is also just fifteen minutes away by car. 


Santorini Sugar

The villa is a striking vision of modernity in the heart of Santorini. It’s a short walk from the centre of Pyrgos, a charming hilltop town where you’ll find a handful of traditional tavernas, churches and some of the island’s famous wineries. The beautiful, quiet town of Megalochori is just a four-minute drive away and the island’s capital of Fira is an eight-minute drive. 

From the sprawling terrace, you’ve got a front-row seat to the glorious Santorini sunsets over the caldera. At the golden hour, the earth-toned walls of this home practically glow and the swimming pool shimmers silver and gold. During the day you can soak up the rays on a beanbag lounger and double day bed, or gather around the outdoor dining table for a feast outside. We love the sunken seating area, hewn into the terrace and illuminated at night. 

Inside, you can feel the inspiration from nature in raw wood accents, rusted steel and marble. A traditional stone sofa is piled high with cushions in the living room and the kitchen is a vision of sleek concrete with everything you could need for self-catering. The real surprise inside is the dedicated spa and gym, with a sunken Jacuzzi for a post-workout soak. 

Sun On Earth

There's an awe-inspiring stillness to this place that undoubtedly brings blissful serenity and a refreshed state of mind from the moment you step foot on its elevated terrace overlooking the Aegean Sea. 

While undeniably beautiful interiors present a truly comfortable space to relax inside, it seems somewhat of a waste when we are ninety-nine percent sure you'll want to spend most of your time outside on the villa's surrounding patio. 

With a private heated infinity pool featuring floating sun loungers, an alfresco dining area, as well as off-pool day beds to enjoy – the terrace area is sure to soothe your soul to the core. Enjoy the warmth of Santorini's sun as you admire the breathtaking panoramic views of the seascape. And at sunset, there's simply no better place to share a home-cooked meal paired with quality wine than the alfresco dining area. 

At the end of a blissfully relaxing day either sunning on the terrace or exploring Santorini's most sought-after attractions – make your way to the enormous bathtub of the main bedroom to finish the day off the right way. Heaven. 

Soothe My Soul

This stunning villa boasts breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea and several nearby islands, including Naxos. Space is limited here and you won’t have a kitchen, but with views like this, we think this home still holds its own. You’ll likely spend your days soaking up the sun on the veranda or unwinding on the pool’s Jacuzzi bench. Pop open a bottle of Champagne and lounge on floor cushions to watch the sunset before heading out to dine at a nearby restaurant. Bliss.

An old sea captain’s house, this mansion of a villa sits in the postcard-perfect town of Oia. This is perhaps Santorini’s most photogenic town, where the classic blue-domed buildings cascade down the hillside towards the sea. Streets here are packed with luxury boutiques and fine dining restaurants with caldera views.

Head back to your villa for a front-row seat to Santorini’s famous sunsets over the Aegean Sea. The balustraded terrace feels as though it’s suspended above the ocean, jutting out from the hillside.
