This villa in Umalas might just have some of the most striking architecture we've seen in our roster of Bali homes. Built entirely from bamboo, it's perfect if you're looking for a unique retreat. Outside, there's a private swimming pool that wraps around lounge areas and sunbathing spots. Inside, you’ve got open-air living and dining spaces, plus a big staircase leading to the second floor – where you can spot a volcano on clear days. There’s also a media room with a sofa bed. You can walk to nearby restaurants, but having a scooter or car helps, especially with Kayu Putih Beach only fifteen minutes away.

Bamboo & Sky

This traditional Balinese villa is the perfect spot to experience the wonders of Ubud. Located in Pejeng, you can visit the UNESCO site of the Goa Gajah Hindu temple, or try river rafting down the Ayung – just speak to your host should like help arranging. The villa offers original features that may feel a little dated, but the indoor-outdoor design really sets the mood. Pick a shaded spot for some reading or meditation, then enjoy a dip in the pool surrounded by palm trees.
