Five minutes from Hilton Beach, this home in Tel Aviv is one of those places that manages to be cool and comfortable at the same time. All cabinetry is custom made and we love how the industrial-style windows add an edgy touch to the streamlined look. Tucked away in a quiet corner of a highly sought-after neighbourhood, it's been designed to be as neat and modern as possible – but it's not short on character either. Glass partition walls to the bedrooms (with internal curtains for privacy) mean that light can be used to best effect throughout the home, and the herringbone floors are a stylish choice. There’s even a small garden that gives you a private space to unwind at the end of the day. Located in the Old North, this area is filled with European influences, great bars, and plentiful restaurants. Jerusalem and the Dead Sea are both within around an hour's drive.

Though the apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, you'll also find several restaurants nearby, including a very popular option for authentic cuisine. Plus, the fact that all three bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms adds a little extra privacy to the mix.

Such is the way it sprawls up and down the Israeli coastline, Tel Aviv is a city where you're never too far from the seaside. This apartment, for example, is only ten minutes' walk from Gordon Beach and has the sort of easy, breezy feel that is so often found with homes close to the sea.

Large windows bring in plenty of natural light, which is reflected around the interior by the mirrors, stainless steel kitchen and wealth of sleek surfaces. The stark white walls also lend a sense of brightness, as do the eye-catching hanging light features. While this living space is a pleasant enough space in which to kick back and relax, the home also offers a peaceful private balcony surrounded by plant life

This place had us on that charming balcony alone – and that was before we’d even seen the views at night as the lights of Tel Aviv begin to shine. Compared to the impressive main bedroom suite with balcony access, the second bedroom may feel a bit compact for some. But don’t let that put you off – there’s heaps of space to spill out in the newly refurbished living area. And you couldn’t dream up a better location. Vibey Metzitzim Beach, with knockout sunsets, and the port, with its bustling boardwalk, indoor market and happening night scene, are just a flip-flop away.

This apartment overlooking Atarim Square is the perfect combination of sea, sun, and fun. It’s less than five minutes away from the beach, so you could be swimming in the Mediterranean in no time. Walk a little further to Hilton Beach – it's the premiere surf spot in the city, with shops nearby where you can get kitted out. Although the flat is found in an old building, the home itself is modern and sleek – we particularly liked the kitchen. That said, we can see it not getting as much use as it deserves, as there are plenty of restaurants nearby for all you food fans out there. After you've eaten your fill, there are several lively bars in the area where you can continue the party. Despite all that, the apartment itself is tranquil at night, so you can look forward to an uninterrupted night's sleep in the comfortable beds.

You'll also find local markets, shops and cafes along the famous Ben Gurion Boulevard, no more than three minutes away on foot.

Wander down from the terrace and into a light and airy living space. A cute dining table connects the sofa and the kitchen – we suggest settling down here for bites of falafel and hummus before snuggling up on the sofa. 

Once you're well fed and rested, head out of the apartment and explore this sparkling city. Dizengoff Square, home of a sprawling shopping centre, is just five minutes away. On your way there, you'll pass copious cafes, coffee shops and authentic restaurants. 

Head in the other direction and you'll reach the golden sands of Gordon Beach in just a minute. Don't worry if you forget your towel or sunscreen, you can nip home and back in less than five minutes.

We love the meticulous attention to detail, with beautifully curated art, colours, and materials in abundance. There are lots of things to like about this home, but the stylish master bedroom must be our favourite – especially because of the bathtub. As it’s right by Independence Park, you’re also in an excellent location. Dizengoff Square isn’t too far away either – and if you feel like a day at the beach, you’ll find several of Tel Aviv’s finest nearby.
