This apartment is a sun-soaked escape in the heart of Bari. Just a three-minute stroll from the old town and seafront, it’s the perfect base for exploring local cafes, restaurants, shops and historic sights. The real showstopper is the private rooftop terrace, ideal for lazy breakfasts or an aperitivo as the sun sets over the city. At full capacity, two guests will sleep on the sofa bed in the living room, so things may feel snug – especially with just one bathroom. But with Bari’s vibrant streets and coastline right on your doorstep, it’s a small compromise for such a top location.

The Pearl of Bari

Not far from beautiful Bari, this apartment is a convenient, comfortable base on the Adriatic Coast. The open-plan living area makes socialising a breeze. There's even a small balcony where you can enjoy alfresco aperitifs in the sunshine. It's worth noting that two guests will sleep on a sofa bed in the living area, but given the plethora of things to do and see in the local area, we reckon most of your time will be spent exploring.

Claret & Teal

Right next to the seaside in idyllic Torre a Marre, this charming apartment is a lovely escape on the Puglia coast. Combining comfort, style and sustainability – with thoughtful touches like solar panels and thermal insulation for an eco-friendly stay – it’s a getaway you can feel good about. The private balcony is a real gem, where you can look out over the surrounding rooftops and enjoy an aperitivo in the afternoon sun. And the cherry on top is Marley, the building’s friendly on-site dog, who greets you at the gate with a smile. 

A Puglian View

Built on three levels, this villa has panoramic views of the garden and the countryside from the upper-level terraces. We love the pool surrounded by daybeds and a pergola-shaded dining area (there’s a vineyard within the grounds as well). Inside, there’s plenty of room for entertaining. All bedrooms are en-suite and four have access to a private terrace (at full occupancy some guests will be sleeping on a sofa bed in two of the bedrooms). Also, one bedroom is in a separate building on the roof terrace, perfect for those wanting more privacy. You may not want to leave this oasis of calm and luxury, but if you do, you’ll find the charming town of Polignano a Mare, 6 kilometres away.

Refinement on the Adriatic

Situated in the historic town of Bitonto, this studio is a short walk from the cathedral. You’ll have on your doorstep shops, art galleries and restaurants too. You can easily reach the City of Bari and the coast by car as well. Back at this apartment, there’s a well-appointed kitchen for when you want to cook at home. Your host can also provide a cot for free if you’re a family. This place will suit couples, solo travellers and business professionals wanting a place to stay in the heart of this charming town.

Borgo Vecchio Place

Tucked just moments from the train station, this apartment places you right in the heart of the city – perfect for exploring Bari and beyond, all without a car. The space is simple but practical, with a comfy loft bedroom, modern bathroom, and a sofa bed in the living area. The kitchen and outdoor patio are shared with one other apartment, but it’s the perfect spot to enjoy alfresco dining and sunset drinks. Whether you're here for a quick stopover or a longer Puglian escape, this central spot makes an easy base for discovering the city, the coast, and the wider region.

Stylish Arch

When we came across this three-story townhouse, it immediately caught our attention. Set in the heart of the old town, with the Basilica of San Nicola and the Castello Svevo just a short walk away and endless cafes, bars, and restaurants to choose from, you truly have it all at your fingertips. Set across three floors, with a private rooftop terrace offering views over the surrounding scenery, an outdoor kitchen and shared beach access, there's a lot to love about it. Just bear in mind that the internal staircase is not for the faint of heart – especially if you're travelling with lots of luggage in tow. 

 A Rooftop Sunset

Immerse yourself in the romance of Puglia and book yourself a stay at this gorgeous one-bedroom getaway, located right in the centre of the picturesque town of Polignano a Mare.

Step in off the narrow cobbled street and discover the charms of its recently renovated interior, which winds up through the home and includes a cosy sitting room and bedroom that share a soothing blue theme and a compact but well-equipped kitchen. 

However, it's in its outside space that the home really comes alive. With good weather all but guaranteed over the summer months, you'll be spending most of your time relaxing in the dappled shade of the covered terrace and topping up your tan on the rooftop terrace, with its far-reaching sea views.

Polignano a Mare's historic centre is the perfect size to explore on foot, making requisite stops at various viewpoints dotted throughout the town. Once you've seen the sights, refuel in a quaint kerbside cafe before making your way down to the pebble beach at Lama Monachile. Nestled between steep limestone cliffs, it makes for an idyllic dip in the crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic.

You can't come to the heel of Italy without factoring in a visit to the iconic cone-shaped trulli homes that line the streets of Istrian Valley towns like Alberobello. Meanwhile, the spectacular city of Matera is known for its ancient cave dwellings and, most recently, for featuring in a Bond film.

Rays the Roof 

Immerse yourself in the authentic spirit of Puglia with a stay in this historic home. Formerly an old stable, today it’s a cosy and elegant retreat for a couple or solo travellers in search of comfort and ease. You’ll find all the essentials you could need to settle in and there’s a desk for remote workers. Plus, it’s in a fantastic location for sightseeing. From here, you can wander along picturesque alleys, admire ancient churches and sip drinks in local squares. 


White Wonder

Situated in the heart of the Apulian countryside, you'll be just a twenty-minute drive away from Monopoli. The home itself invites guests to enjoy an authentic experience brimming with the typical Mediterranean character and charming hidden gems around every corner. With its quirky lay out, the home is spread across one floor and offers a sociable setting ideal for large families or groups of friends looking for a place to enjoy spending time together. Since the bedrooms are located in a separate annexe, guests needn't worry about maintaining enough privacy in such a large group setting – as a peaceful night's sleep is guaranteed. Transitioning indoor living through to the outdoor area, through floor-to-ceiling doors and windows, you'll be chilling out in the covered kitchen and living area while feeling like you're still outside in the garden. With stunning views and the beaming sun in your pocket all day long here, it's safe to say it won't be easy to tear yourself away from this little corner of paradise. But when you do want to venture further afield, the villa is easily connected to tourist hot spots, such as Monopoli (7 km away), Castellana Grotte (12 km away) and Alberobello (reachable in 28 km).

The Citrus Grove

Tucked into the serene countryside of Monopoli, this beautiful holiday home is made up of a series of trulli and lamie. It’s a superb choice for an authentic Puglian escape, just a ten-minute drive from the centre of Monopoli and close to the coast’s beaches. The home features an expansive patio with an outdoor kitchen and barbecue, as well as an oh-so-tempting private pool. Inside, we love the traditional touches and the modern comforts. This home has everything you might need for a relaxing break in southern Italy. 

Monopoli Majesty

This apartment is on the smaller side, but it has lots going for it. First off, its private balcony is ideal for those evenings alfresco, and to top it off, there's a large Jacuzzi that's perfect for relaxing after a day of exploration and adventure – and, chances are, that's exactly what you'll be doing around here. This apartment is within walking distance to the water's edge and the old town, as well as lots of bars and restaurants, meaning that no matter your plans, this well-placed property has lots to see and do right outside its door.
