This Italian villa grabbed our attention for its front-row location on the Amalfi coast. You can enjoy spectacular sea views from the garden, balconies, and terraces, and you also have direct access to a private beach. Your host can provide breakfast to begin the day at a leisurely pace, and if you’re travelling with children, babysitter recommendations are available. There are lots of stairs to climb here, including a spiral staircase in the home, steep steps in the terraced garden, and steps to the private beach, so it won’t suit everyone. Location-wise, you’re in the pretty village of Conca dei Marini with many picturesque coastal towns, including popular Amalfi, within easy driving distance.

With direct access to Padulella Beach, this villa guarantees a memorable stay on the island of Elba. Outdoor living is encouraged here, thanks to the summer kitchen complete with a wood oven, infinity pool and a covered terrace overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea. Located just a short walk from the centre of Florence, this Santa Maria Novella ticks all the important boxes for us, making it a functional base for city exploring. A sixteenth-century villa in the hilly outskirts of Florence that, at times, has been both a stables and a nightclub, Thermae is one of the most spectacular places we’ve seen in Italy. Its restoration has been a labour of love for the host, Giovanni, and the way that he’s incorporated technology into the original structure is simply impressive. There’s too much to describe here, but know that everything's been taken care of. And if we did have to choose one thing that stood out, it might have to be the pool, hidden away in the vaults, and only accessible through a trapdoor.

This beautiful Italian country home is part of a traditional farmhouse (Cascina), located next to the renowned Bogogno Golf Club. The property is conveniently positioned less than a 30-minute drive from Malpensa Airport and Lago Maggiore, right at the foot of the Alps. The Cascina went through an innovative restoration project, completed in 2022, using environmentally sustainable practices. The renovation brings together contemporary comforts and luxury amenities while salvaging and celebrating the historical architectural features of the building. This ground floor unit measures about 45 sqm and is composed of a spacious room with a king-size bed, table for 2, TV, closet, and a separate fully equipped kitchen. It also has a spacious bathroom with a large Italian shower. The unit has large floor-to-ceiling windows that open onto the garden equipped with a table and chairs under a wisteria-draped pergola. The property boasts an air conditioning system, independent heating system, free Wi-Fi, Smart TV, Bluetooth speakers, and other basic electrical appliances. The facilities of the residence include free car parking, reception office, laundry room, and plenty of relaxing communal outdoor spaces conceived for socializing with other guests and local staff. This cozy country home is perfect for couples looking for a romantic getaway or singles seeking an extended holiday home.

This is a charming country house located on top of a hill surrounded by trees and fields. It's situated in a traffic-calmed area, 3 km from the centre of Collecorvino, offering a peaceful and quiet retreat. The house has a large shared garden with a barbecue for guests to enjoy. The upper ground floor features a large kitchen, 3 double bedrooms each with its own shower/bidet/WC, and an exit to the veranda with one french bed and two double beds. There's also a large terrace of 30 m2 with terrace furniture, balcony furniture, and 4 deck chairs providing guests with beautiful panoramic views of the valley. The property is conveniently located near several towns and cities such as Città S.Angelo and Pescara, which are only 10 km and 15 km away respectively. The sea is just a short distance of 10 km while skiing areas are approximately 40 km away. Please note that the owner lives in the same residence, has a dog, and does not accept any youth groups.

Located minutes away from the iconic landmarks of this UNESCO World Heritage City, including the Palazzo della Ragione and Prato della Valle, this apartment is the perfect getaway for solo travellers or couples coming to explore what Padua has to offer. But the location isn't the only draw of this home. Modern and neat, most of what's happening inside this apartment is automated and voice-controlled for an element of hotel luxury – and the aromatherapy is a nice touch too. This apartment sits just a few steps from the sea, and only 200 metres from Baia Caddinas, a gentle cove with fine white sand. As if that weren’t enough, you’ll also have access to two shared swimming pools, which look out to sea. The balcony is dreamy, and where you’ll likely spend most of your time, though the rest of the home is charming too. With two bathrooms, it’s plenty big enough for four. You'll need to pay for your linen unless you plan on bringing your own.

Overlooking the sea on the Sardinian coast, this home caught our eye thanks to its enviable location. If topping up your tan is high on your holiday to-do list, you’ll welcome the sight of the communal pool, surrounded by sun loungers. For those who prefer some quiet time to unwind with a book, the shaded terrace back at home is a real treat, with the sea views only adding to its appeal. You’ll need a car to get around and for local amenities in Golfo Aranci – exploring the island further is a must.

Located just 5km away from the centre of Polignano a Mare, this villa is a little world of its own. It's perfect for groups of friends and family who want to catch up, dine like kings and enjoy the balmy Italian climate in style.

We especially love the luxurious bathrooms, with their natural stone and large walk in showers, creating a spa-like experience. Step outside, and you'll be greeted by a shimmering swimming pool that's ideal for cooling off when the mercury rises. There's also a summer kitchen and barbeque for alfresco feasts galore – don't forget the prosecco. 

Take a quick drive down to the heart of Polignano a Mare to explore the clifftop town's historic streets and charming restaurants. Cala Porto Beach is a great spot to sit and read, while the town's piazza is the best place to do some people-watching with a cool drink. And, if you fancy exploring further afield, the wonderful Puglian countryside is right on your doorstep.

It may be less than a thirty-minute drive from the spectacular Renaissance city of Florence, but this home feels like another world. Located up in the hills, you'll discover a spectacular villa – complete with a clock tower – just outside the small village of Cellai, where time seems to stand still. 

Pad across terracotta-tiled floors, with wood beam ceilings above, and discover rooms filled with character and charm, where period features and modern touches sit effortlessly alongside one another. Nowhere is this better displayed than in the contemporary kitchen and adjoining dining room with its antique stove. Each of the four bedrooms blends rustic charm with supreme comfort, while the bathrooms are fitted out with beautiful tiles and gleaming marble for a touch of luxury.

Step outside and you'll discover a lush landscape of terraced gardens, an inviting pool and breathtaking views over the Tuscan terrain. Your hosts recommend making the trip to Forno La Chiocciola, where you can stock up on Florentine speciality flatbread, schiaccata, each morning. Surrounded by stunning Apulian countryside, yet just twenty minutes by car from the centre of Monopoli – this quintessential Mediterranean villa offers guests a private slice of serenity from the moment they open the front gate. Upon entering the home, you'll be welcomed by the soothing earthy tones of the home's original features, including tiled stone floors throughout and whitewashed exposed brickwork in the living area. Come sun or snow, this charming timber retreat offers the perfect mountain getaway high in the Italian Alps. Located on the ground floor of a traditional alpine building in Livigno, the apartment is designed to be as flexible as possible, with a sleeping arrangement that's sure to suit.

Up to four people can be comfortably accommodated here, with two of the guests choosing between either a double sofa bed or two pull-down bunk beds that emerge from the wall, with two further guests in the tranquil main bedroom.

A compact kitchen contains everything you might need to whip up apres-ski sustenance sat around the dining table before exploring the traffic-free streets in the centre of the resort, a couple of kilometres up the road – with a free ski bus linking the town. Interestingly, the area has held duty-free status since the 16th century, meaning your money goes that bit further.

The area is fast establishing itself as one of the most exciting resorts in Italy and is set to host some of the 2026 Winter Olympics. Easily accessible slopes for all levels of snow sports enthusiast make Livigno a fun option for families and mixed-ability groups.

Just a five-minute walk from the nearest ski lift, this studio apartment is more than handy for skiers and snowboarders. But as the sun beats down in the heat of July, it’s equally wonderful for picturesque bike rides (courtesy of your host).
