There are also hammocks and a floating net area if you prefer to relax and there’s an onsite restaurant and bar. You can also chill out on this apartment’s private balcony. This home has a small kitchenette – there’s no oven, but there is a hob and microwave. But as well as the onsite eateries, Tulum with its beaches, bars and restaurants is just under 4 kilometres away.

When we say ‘wow’ we want to mean it. And, walking into this palatial Punta Mita villa, we mean it. Designed by Juan Collignon, Manolo Mestre and Karen Collignon, this oceanfront home is separated into nine lavish yet boho suites. The first thing you’ll notice is the huge cabana-style dining area outside, like a beach club restaurant beneath a palm-frond thatch. That blend of beachy boho and high-shine luxury is kept throughout the home. Undulating curves of stone bathtubs, perpendicular beams of varnished wood and the occasional flame of a traditional Mexican fabric all feed into the effortlessly chic vibe. While the apartment is compact, you’ll have everything you need for a comfortable stay, as well as access to the communal rooftop swimming pool.
