Settle into this cosy wooden cabin on the Minho coastline, ideal for a long weekend or couple's retreat. We think it's worth having a car here for getting around with ease, but if you don't drive, fear not. The centre of Fão is a breezy stroll away, while the golden sands of Praia de Ofir are easily reachable on foot.

Blessed with an enviable clifftop location looking out over Funchal Bay, we can envision long afternoons laid out on sun loungers that evolve into evenings on the terrace, with a glass of wine in hand, watching passing boats bobbing on the ocean waves as the sun slowly sinks towards the horizon.

While the Atlantic views have to be seen to be believed, the home's interior is equally as lovely. Step through sliding doors into a bright and breezy open layout living space with comfy seating, a rustic wooden dining table and a sleek kitchen with a 50s-inspired chequerboard floor. Elsewhere, the main bedroom also benefits from direct access to the outdoors, so you can wake up to outstanding 180-degree vistas each morning.

Steps away from your front door, not even the scenic Miradouro do Lazareto can compete with your private panorama. Stroll along the cliffs towards the narrow, winding alleys of Funchal's charming Zona Velha, but not before hopping on the cable car up to Monte for a whole new perspective on the city.

Live the boho lifestyle in this charming villa, based close to Comporto beach and providing you with a serene resting spot for when you’re not out exploring. We adore the bohemian decor and characterful artwork, such as the coloured glass collection, woven fabrics and wicker furniture, which gives the home a warm and welcoming feel. You can spend sunny mornings out on your shaded terrace, with a large lounge area that makes for a great place for your morning coffee. You can cook up delicious chorizo scrambled eggs in your quaint kitchen area and tuck in alfresco at the shaded dining table. In the evenings, plant yourself in a deckchair with a glass of fizz, and watch the sunset over the fields in the distance.

This villa resides in a peaceful and rural spot in Comporta, an idyllic village that sits peacefully between rice fields and the ocean. You’ll be based just a stroll away from a 60km-long stretch of stunning beaches, and so ideally located for sea swimming, sunbathing, and spotting dolphins swimming off of the coast. It's easy to spend a whole day exploring the vibrant bars and fantastic restaurants that line the seafront.

Beachy Boho

The biggest draw of the home is, of course, the large rooftop terrace offering views over this scenic landscape, but we also adore the little balcony, overlooking the Ria Formosa lagoon nearby, perfect for morning coffees in the sunshine. You’ll be in a central spot, close to the ferry boat to Beach Island so you can spend time relaxing on Praia de Cabana, while the charming fishing village of Cabanas, with its delicious seafood restaurants, can be reached in just two minutes by foot.

Inside, it's a wonderfully bright and open living space, where you can sink into the modern modular sofa or gather around the sleek dining table at the end of a long day spent sunbathing or exploring. The bedrooms are just as light and comfortable, while the kitchen will make preparing supper a breeze.

In The Sunshine

Find total relaxation in the immersive countryside of Portugal’s verdant Minho region. When it comes to exploring, this dreamy corner of Portugal really has everything. Explore the charming town of Paredes de Coura, a fifteen-minute drive away, and spend an afternoon on the Taboão River Beach. Or take to Corno do Bico Protected Landscape for gorgeous mountainous terrain, overlooking the town below.

Eternally Green

Savour your stay at this stunning property with its irresistible combination of an unmatched coastal location, minimalist design and a relaxing dune garden with an inviting pool. The home comprises three separate units – one with a luxurious living space, one containing the main bedroom and a final module containing two additional bedrooms. While it might not be ideal for families with young children, it works exceptionally well for families with older kids and groups of friends.

Interior spaces vibe perfectly with the creative, barefoot bohemian character of Comporta. Think bleached wood, wicker furniture and earth tones that help you feel integrated into your surroundings. Each building has been designed to remove the barriers between you and the natural world, with large doors that swing out to provide seamless access to the central pool surrounded by sun loungers and a rustic pergola for outdoor dining in the shade.

The dune garden boardwalk gives way to wild beaches, with two of Comporta's best-known stretches of sand just a short walk away. Here, you can spend days soaking up the sun beneath cloudless skies, frolicking in the surf and exploring the ever-shifting sand dunes.

Cabanas da Comporta

This wonderful home is the kind you’ll fondly daydream about when you’re back at home, listening to drizzle patter against the windows. Everything you might want or need during your stay has been thought of in this luxurious and welcoming home, so you can focus on enjoying every last second of your break. 

The villa is bright and stylish, with decor and finishes that would be at home in an interior design magazine. It’s beautiful, with splashes of colour adding warmth and fun. You’ll wake up to feel the sunshine on your pillow, tempting you to head through the floor-to-ceiling glass sliding doors outside to the terrace. Sip an espresso as you breathe in the warm, sweet-scented air. 

The outside space has been as thoughtfully considered as the house. There’s something for everyone, whether you’re a sun-worshipper or prefer to lounge in the shade. Table tennis will keep the big kids entertained, while you cool off in the refreshing solar-heated pool. There’s a gym inside, too, so you can easily get a workout in – though we might be more tempted by a yoga session on the terrace. 

When you want to explore further afield, you might stroll to Galé beach, or perhaps hop in the car to visit Troia. History buffs will enjoy seeing the Roman ruins at Cetobriga, while golfers might choose to stay closer to home – Troia Golf is a five-minute drive from the villa. This is truly a holiday home with something for everyone – you’ll never want to leave.  

Tranquil Sands Retreat

Ideally located in the sunny Ponta do Sol area of Madeira, this home is the perfect choice if you're a lover of a good view. Here, panoramic sea vistas envelop both the pool deck and the raised terrace, and both spaces feature spots to dine and recline while you admire the sights. Inside, you'll find two separate living areas, both with kitchen and dining areas, giving everyone loads of room to relax. When you're ready to venture out, the quaint seaside village of Madalena do Mar sits just a short drive away.

The Island Bird

Feel revived with a refreshing dip in your private, outdoor pool before sauntering over to the barbecue area. Gorge on Portuguese eats while sat around the wooden dining table on the covered terrace.

If you fancy amping up the luxe factor, why not indulge in an at-home massage? Believe it or not, you’ll also be able to enjoy the services of a beautician and a private chef. Alternatively, if you can bring yourselves to part with such privacy, you’ll be able to try your hand at wine and olive oil tasting, horse riding, golf, and a variety of water sports.


History & Hedonism

Sit back, relax, and soak up the sun at this Portuguese villa. It has everything you need to feel at home – including a large open-plan living area, an outdoor ping-pong table, and a dazzling swimming pool where you can float the afternoon away. Consider yourself a sporty type? You'll have access to a nearby tennis court and golf course, too. Lisbon is a thirty-five-minute drive away and ideal for a day trip. That said, with the beautiful beaches of Costa da Caparica five minutes by car, we reckon most of your time will be spent on the sand.
