Everything you might want or need during your stay has been thought of in this luxurious and welcoming home, so you can focus on enjoying every last second of your break. 

The villa is bright and stylish, with decor and finishes that would be at home in an interior design magazine. It’s beautiful, with splashes of colour adding warmth and fun. You’ll wake up to feel the sunshine on your pillow, tempting you to head through the floor-to-ceiling glass sliding doors outside to the terrace. Sip an espresso as you breathe in the warm, sweet-scented air. 

The outside space has been as thoughtfully considered as the house. There’s something for everyone, whether you’re a sun-worshipper or prefer to lounge in the shade. Table tennis will keep the big kids entertained, while you cool off in the refreshing solar-heated pool. There’s a gym inside, too, so you can easily get a workout in – though we might be more tempted by a yoga session on the terrace. 

When you want to explore further afield, you might stroll to Galé beach, or perhaps hop in the car to visit Troia. History buffs will enjoy seeing the Roman ruins at Cetobriga, while golfers might choose to stay closer to home – Troia Golf is a five-minute drive from the villa. This is truly a holiday home with something for everyone – you’ll never want to leave.

Comfortable for four, there’s even a parking space with this home, somewhat of a rarity in the city, so it’s easy to explore by car if you’re not in the mood for walking or hopping on a tram. In Lisbon for work? The dedicated office area makes remote working a breeze. And for those shopaholics out there, the nearby Amoreiras shopping centre is a delight – with the rooftop viewpoint a particular highlight.

Settle into this home away from home in the heart of Lisbon. Ideal for work or leisure, furry friends are welcome here for an extra fee and there's a dedicated office space with high-speed wi-fi. The location does mean there is the potential for outside noise, though earplugs provide an easy solution for this. But we think the convenience makes up for this, with shops and restaurants within walking distance and public transport right on your doorstep.

With its enviable location, some street noise should be expected here, however, most of the major sights are a short walk away. When you return home, there's a fully-equipped kitchen for preparing laidback meals, a handy desk space, and a charming balcony, which may be a Juliet, but we still think it's a pleasant spot for enjoying an evening drink. From here, it's a three-minute walk from the Quinta das Conchas Metro station which takes you directly to Saldanha and Pombal in moments. Back at home, you'll find all the usual mod cons needed for a restful stay, including a second bedroom that doubles as a handy home office for those working remotely. Best of all, there's a private balcony with seating for two, where you can enjoy evening sundowners after a busy day of exploring.

Want authentic restaurants, lively bars, and Lisbon's top attractions practically on your doorstep? This apartment in the Baixa-Chiado district provides just that. From here, the popular Praça do Comércio is a seven-minute walk away, with Rossio Metro stop right outside. Inside, both bedrooms are warm and welcoming, and the kitchen is fully equipped for preparing home-cooked meals, ideal for longer stays. There’s also a double sofa bed in the living area to accommodate groups of up to six guests. And while some noise should be expected, we think it's a small price to pay for this central location. 

Chiado Charm

Situated next to Lisbon’s central avenue, Avenida da Liberdade, and with the metro on its doorstep, exploring the city is a breeze when you stay at this home. While its simple design means you won’t find lots of luxurious touches here, you will find everything needed for a comfortable stay. With that in mind, we think this makes an ideal base for those keen to drop off their bags and head straight out to explore. And when you fancy a stroll through Lisbon’s greenery, ​​you’ll find nearby Parque Eduardo VII ready and waiting for you.


Boulevard Bliss

Located in hilly Lapa, one of Lisbon’s most vibrant neighbourhoods, you’ll be within walking distance of the Basílica da Estrela and Green Street here. With eye-catching artwork and sloping ceilings, this place has more character than the average city pad. And the private balcony, accessed via one of the bedrooms, is a peaceful spot to enjoy a morning coffee. The steep stairs mean this home might not be suitable for everyone, but if they’re not a deal-breaker, we think it’s a great choice for a group of friends wanting to explore the capital.

Heritage Harmony

Oh my days, someone has had a lot of fun decorating this home – it’s a feast for the senses for sure. From the Lisbon murals to the inscriptions and quirky figurines, there’s something to delight around every corner. Another highlight is the terrace – relax on the hammock or enjoy dinner with views over the city’s terracotta rooftops. Okay, we must discuss the practicalities here too. At full capacity, two people will be sleeping on a pulldown double bed in the living area, making the space a bit cramped. We’ve been waxing lyrical about this home but have not mentioned the location yet. Several museums are nearby, while bohemian Bairro Alto is within walking distance, where you’ll find restaurants and bars.

Canvas of Lisbon Life

This charming apartment is a great base for six people on a Lisbon getaway. While two guests will need to prepare for nights on the sofa bed at full occupancy, and you’ll need to climb stairs to reach the home, it’s a comfortable space to rest your head. In the city for business? The desk in the main bedroom makes remote work a breeze. And while we're talking of breezes, you’ll need to make use of the fans in summer months as there’s no air conditioning here – alternatively, throw open the beautiful French doors to let the fresh air in.

Bairro Alto Bliss

You'll find this practical apartment set in Lumiar, a residential district north of Lisbon. While the building's exteriors are unremarkable, what this home may lack in charm more than makes up for with space. Well-suited to families, there's a large, well-equipped kitchen, a dedicated desk space for remote working, and a single bedroom just for little ones. The lengthy balcony is a nice touch too. Set back from the tourist bustle – you'll need to jump on the Lumiar Metro (twelve minutes on foot) when it's time to hit the sights. Or, if you'd rather drive, the free parking outside the apartment will be handy.

Lisbon's Luminary

We should, first of all, give a shout-out to this studio home's address. It's within walking distance of the Santa Justa Elevator, the vibrant district of Bairro Alto and the São Jorge Castle. So, that's the location – what about the apartment? Well, it's lovely and bright, and there's room for a sofa and dining table. The kitchen is compact, but it has an oven and hob, so you can cook some Portuguese cuisine. We love the views out over Praça da Figueira and the surrounding pastel-hued houses, too.

Portuguese Charm

Experience a more traditional side of Lisbon with a stay at this contemporary apartment set in history-rich Alfama. Its steep, cobblestoned streets dotted with backstreet cafes are everything you’d imagined Lisbon to be. And there’s a tram outside the apartment when it’s time to explore another corner of the city. While we love the sharp design aesthetics of this home, it may feel a little pared back for some. We also think the compact kitchenette is only really suitable for rustling up breakfast and lighter bites. But with Porto's buzzy restaurants to try out, we suspect you’ll be eating out instead. 

Alfama Dreaming

Located in the village of Magoito, this minimalist home is just a short drive from the beautiful Magoito Beach. While it's clear from the simple design that this home is for rentals, the open-plan living space, private pool, and alfresco seating area are great for a family or group of friends who want to spend time together. At capacity, a guest will be on a sofa bed in one of the bedrooms, which we think is more suited to a child. The well-equipped kitchen makes cooking a breeze, though you'll find several eateries and cafes within walking distance if you prefer to let someone else do the work.

So, this home has the best of both worlds with its location. It's situated in the picturesque town of Cascais with its charming streets and beaches, yet it's just a short stroll to the train station which connects to Lisbon. There's plenty of room for entertaining in the apartment, and there's a desk in one of the bedrooms if you need to catch up on work emails. If you want to accommodate six guests, though, two will be sleeping on a sofa in the open-plan living room.

If you like a spot of shopping followed by lunch (who doesn't?), then this home near Avenida da Liberdade, Lisbon's answer to the Champs Élysées, is within walking distance. Here, you'll find plenty of boutiques, bars and restaurants, and the Praça dos Restauradores is nearby, too. We love this home's small balcony with its views over the area's rooftops. And while the kitchen is compact, there's everything you need to make some Portuguese cuisine. One thing we must mention, though, is two people will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the living room at full capacity.

The azulejos-clad facades of this Alfama bolthole are firmly planted in old Lisbon. But step inside, and this contemporary home with a small balcony overlooking an inner courtyard is bang up to date. Each minimalist bedroom has a separate bathroom, although the last two guests will share a double sofa bed in the lounge. It’s also worth noting the kitchen is compact. But with tapas bars in the cobbled streets below, we think you’ll be eating out instead. Set in the history-rich Alfama district, the tram line running outside the home will be handy. And never fear – those soundproof windows will keep things quiet when it’s time to hit the sack.
