That said, we recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay here – it's less than an hour's drive to Sacramento, and a couple of hours into San Francisco for day trips.

The exposed timber ceiling and raw wood accents are in keeping with the apartment’s natural surroundings up in the hills on the edge of Oakland. The treetop view takes centre stage in the living room, where an arched window sits like a picture frame on a pristine white wall, and the Cathedral-style ceiling gives the feeling of a grand space. Glass double doors lead to a small terrace with a couple of comfy chairs in the sun.
