Situated in Plettenberg Bay adjacent to Goose Valley Golf Club and overlooking Keurbooms Lagoon, this remarkable home brings a taste of modern luxury to a truly idyllic location.

Given the glorious climate, this is an address in which alfresco living is prioritised. A swimming pool takes pride of place in the middle of the outdoor space and is sure to see plenty of dips during the summer months. Add to that a luscious garden full of old milkwood trees, a rooftop bar and a bar that sits behind a large glass wall, and it's easy to pass countless hours out in the open air.

That being said, there's plenty going on behind the stone walls, too. The interior is full of curios, from the varied collection of furniture sourced from across the globe to the antique chandelier hanging over the grand dining table. When it comes to amenities, there's a games room in the main house, plus a steam room and gym in the separate cottage.

Although you may well be thinking that there's more than enough to keep you occupied at the home, there's also plenty to see in the local area, too. Keurbooms Beach is just over five minutes away by car, as is Goose Valley Golf Club. A little further afield, there's a great range of nature and game reserves to explore.

Situated on a luxury estate in the heart of the Cape Winelands, this house boasts mountain views from the outdoor space. But it isn't just scenic. The swimming pool also promises hours of fun for the whole family, with ample seating for adults to relax. Though it's hard to compare to the beauty of the natural landscape, the interior is chic with a touch of luxury to make your stay most comfortable. Surrounded by wineries, there's plenty of potential for wine tours, with the popular Franschhoek only a short drive away. 

Sommer

This peaceful apartment lies in the midst of Franschhoek, just a ten-minute walk from the village centre. The balcony offers some lovely sunset views and space for alfresco dining. Both bedrooms have en-suites and the twin beds in the second bedroom can be converted into a king bed on request, making it great for couples or friend groups. Children under the age of 12 aren't permitted, but we think families with older children will feel right at home here. You can rent a bike to explore the beautiful area, but we recommend hiring a car for trips down to Cape Town's coast.

The Red Lion

Experience the best of urban living in this smart apartment in the heart of Cape Town. Brush up on your history knowledge at the Castle of Good Hope and the District Six Museum, within walking distance of the building, or why not soak up the sunshine on Clifton 1st Beach? Only a short drive away. The home is equipped with all the necessary appliances for a hassle-free stay. While the bedroom is comfortable, the curtains don't fully block out the sunlight, so if you’re hoping for a lie-in, you might want to pack an eye mask. 

City Life in Colour

Love the great outdoors but hate giving up city comforts? Well, this Cape Town home is just a few minutes' walk from the beach and has miles of hiking trails close by. Perfect for couples travelling together, you'll easily find space to yourselves in the open-plan living space. The small pool, alfresco dining area and terrace are sure to be a hit too. Travelling with kids? The king-size beds can be turned into twins on request. In addition to the local bars and eateries, the MyCiti bus stop just 200m away connects you to the rest of the city, or you can enlist the services of the driver-certified housekeeper.

Our Secret

Beautifully positioned, this sleek pad boasts ocean views and direct beach access. Located in Mouille Point, you'll be within easy walking distance of the V&A Waterfront, with an array of bars and restaurants nearby. Plus, it's only a twenty-minute drive from Table Mountain – also visible from the apartment. The interiors are modern and stylish, with a desk for those who need to work remotely and a window-side dining table for homemade meals. The highlight for us? The home's private balcony is a real standout, with comfy seating and a dining set, it's the perfect place to unwind after an exciting day in Cape Town. 

Breakfast at the Beach

Get a taste of coastal living at this modern home, perched on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. It's got a lot going for it – the views and the private pool speak for themselves, while the open kitchen and large dining areas make it an excellent space for entertaining. The terrace is another great option for relaxing, and the forest backdrop is a nice touch. Meanwhile, all three bedrooms are air-conditioned and benefit from en-suite bathrooms. Location-wise, restaurants and bars lie a short walk away along Victoria Road, while Camps Bay Beach is a quick drive away. 

Peaceful Palms

Nestled in the spellbinding suburb of Bishopscourt, this villa makes an impressive first impression by blending elegance and eclectic African pieces by local artists. Sunset Reflections

Homes don't get much more glamorous that this stunning villa in Cape Town. Located in the desirable area of Camps Bay, it's the perfect place to begin your South African adventures in style. 

The ultra-modern home has plenty of room for all your guests, with two living spaces, two kitchens, and a studio apartment complete with its very own kitchenette. It's ideal for guests who want to maintain their own space and schedules, while still spending some quality time with their loved ones in this stunning setting. There are plenty of luxurious details, from the Sonos sound system to the beautiful artworks, and even a koi pond. And, you'll love the outdoor space too – there are two swimming pools, along with an outdoor dining area and balcony complete with epic views across to the sea. 

Fans of the beach can head to the sandy shoreline of Camps Bay Beach for a day by the water – it's just a few streets away. If you're feeling active, you can hike up iconic Table Mountain, or take the cable car for a more gentle approach. And, culture fans can take a short drive into the city centre, to spend some time at the fascinating Iziko South African Museum or the District Six Museum, followed by dinner at the Victoria and Albert Waterfront. 

The Lion's Mane

Given that this villa is only fifteen minutes' walk from Camps Bay Beach, it would be reasonable to assume that if you were to go swimming at any point during a visit here, it would be in the invitingly blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean. What this doesn't take into consideration, however, is the majestic infinity pool on the home's second floor with a gorgeous coastal view – that makes the decision a little bit harder.

If you choose to go for a dip without leaving the house, that lets you enjoy the rest of the perks that are to be found at the address. Given the gorgeous climate, it probably won't surprise you to learn that there's plenty of outdoor space here, including a covered terrace with an alfresco dining table and a barbecue on which to cook up smoky flavours.

When you eventually have to retire inside, you won't be disappointed by what you're greeted with. The design is ultra-modern throughout, especially the sleek white kitchen and the striking dining table. That being said, you can still find homely aspects – what better way to end the day than snuggled up next to the fireplace or soaking in the freestanding bathtub?

When you're in the mood to see a little more of your surroundings, you don't have far to travel. As well as the nearby seaside spot, guests are also only five minutes' drive from the myriad walking routes and vantage points of Table Mountain National Park and about twelve minutes in the car from the bright lights of central Cape Town.
