This alpine apartment sunken into the Swiss mountains really caught our eye and when you see the panorama, it becomes clear why. Lots of places in the Alps have nice views, but these are beyond anything we’ve seen before. It’s a completely private and secluded retreat where you can escape from the bustle of the world and feel like there’s nothing except you and the snow-capped peaks in the distance. Set on a car-free resort, only accessible via a public cableway, you'll find yourself spoiled for choice with activities all year round. In summer, trek across the hiking and climbing trails, and in addition to the nearby mountain paths, the charming village of Riederalp offers plenty of fantastic restaurants and lively bars, just twelve minutes away on foot. In the winter, take advantage of your ski-in ski-out access and be first down the powdery slopes of the Aletsch region nearby – there are ski lifts and cableway transportation close by to take you up the mountain. Having worked up quite the appetite, head back to your comfy wood cabin for a hearty home-cooked meal and a cosy evening in. After, flop down on the sofa with a good book, or end the day with a couple of drinks on the covered terrace, overlooking the idyllic natural landscape.
