Relax with a coffee in the spacious lounge diner and take in the panoramic views of the water, then head out onto the lake for a spot of fishing. Perfect for anglers, the cottage includes a cleaning table and freezing facilities. As night falls, grill your catch on your lakeside terrace and watch the sunset across the snow-capped mountains, before settling in by the wood-burning fireplace. Despite the hidden location, restaurants and groceries are within 3 miles away, while various curious sights are within a thirty-minute drive. These include the farmstead and gallery Astruptuner – dedicated to the aforementioned expressionist painter Astrup – waterfall Huldrefossen and stunning inland fjord Kjøsnesfjorden. We particularly love the Bøyabreen Glacier, which can be viewed indoors while devouring meatballs from the restaurant Brevasshytta.
