Despite its generous size and six bedrooms, the home offers a cosy vibe, with the open-plan interior divided up into distinct kitchen, dining and seating areas. Meanwhile, there are plenty of inviting exterior spaces where you're free to make the most of long summer evenings looking out over the immaculate gardens towards the towering trees of the forest that lies just a kilometre away. And even when the weather isn't playing ball, that large indoor pool offers you a chance to rest and recharge by the water. Elsewhere, the imposing Château de Petite Somme is under a ten-minute walk away. This 13th-century castle is home to the only purely vegetarian restaurant in the region and an artisanal bakery – perfect for that freshly baked morning loaf. For more medieval charm, the nearby town of Durbuy is the gateway to kayaking, canoeing and rafting adventures down the River Ourthe.
