This apartment sits within a traditional Dutch farmhouse, dating back to 1856. The towering thatched roof and white-washed facade sits against a lush green garden, shared between the apartments and houses here. Exploring the grounds you’ll find a swing set for the kids, a volleyball net and a ping pong table. There’s a private terrace for lunches outside. Inside, wooden beams adorn the ceilings for that classic old farmhouse feel and glass doors let the sunlight pour into the living room. There’s a laptop-friendly desk in here should you need to work remotely. The kitchen is particularly spacious, perfect for family breakfast time, and there’s everything you need for self-catering. In terms of location, you’re a fifteen-minute walk from the centre of De Cocksdorp on the island of Texel. Cycling routes and walking trails lace across the flat countryside and it’s a six-minute drive to the empty beaches of the island’s coast. Be sure to stop by one of the famous outdoor cafés in summer.
