Crashing ocean waves, Cape Town's iconic Table Mountain standing tall in the distance and clear blue skies on the horizon – now that's what we call a view. At this Blouberg apartment just 100m from the beach, it's no surprise that the design revolves around the changing tides – simply pad out to the balcony to soak in the unforgettable scenery. After waking up to the morning light flooding through the windows, we can't think of a better way to start the day than with a cup of coffee in the fresh air. Head down to the communal pool for an afternoon dip – or better yet, wander across the street to Bloubergstrand Beach and swim in the sea. Come dinnertime, make your way back home for a homemade South African-inspired feast of chakalaka and pap, followed by malva pudding for dessert. End the night back on the balcony, watching the sun go down over the Atlantic – a glass of local wine, optional. If you can tear yourself away from that view, set off and explore the neighbourhood. Restaurants, bars and cafes are close by, and an easy five-minute drive away lies Big Bay Beach. For adventures further afield, Table Mountain National Park, V&A Waterfront and the buzzing city centre are all excellent options.
