And whether you’re enjoying a refreshing morning swim, dining al fresco, playing the piano or getting cosy by the wood-burning fireplace, you’ll find it easy to settle in and make this space your own. 

From here, it’s just a short drive to Camps Bay Beach and the abundant selection of cafes, bars and restaurants overlooking the glistening shoreline.

The design-led interiors are bursting with character. We love the sultry dining room with its elongated chandelier, and the statement contemporary art pieces dotted throughout the house. The sleek white kitchen is well equipped for cooking up family style meals, and on warm days fire up the barbecue to enjoy lunch alfresco on the deck. 

All three bedrooms have spectacular views, and you’ll love throwing open the curtains each morning before heading down to the pool for a dip. You are perfectly placed to explore Cape Town’s natural delights here. The house is on the edge of Table Mountain National Park, where you’ll find a myriad of hiking trails through breathtaking scenery. Drive seven minutes and spend the day frolicking in the waves at Camps Bay Beach, with its white sands and promenade lined with restaurants and beach bars. There’s a buzzy nightlife scene here, and when the sun sets the beach bars turn into night clubs. If you’ve come for relaxation, head back to your private paradise, draw a bath, and watch the mountains turn golden.

Between the Looking Glass

Just a short walk from sandy Camps Beach, and with Table Mountain, the city centre and several other beaches within an easy drive, this smart home near Happy Valley is perfect for a small family or some friends sharing. With all the comforts of home, private parking and the added bonus of a small private pool, it's the ideal base for a Cape Town adventure.

Situated in Plettenberg Bay adjacent to Goose Valley Golf Club and overlooking Keurbooms Lagoon, this remarkable home brings a taste of modern luxury to a truly idyllic location.

Given the glorious climate, this is an address in which alfresco living is prioritised. A swimming pool takes pride of place in the middle of the outdoor space and is sure to see plenty of dips during the summer months. Add to that a luscious garden full of old milkwood trees, a rooftop bar and a bar that sits behind a large glass wall, and it's easy to pass countless hours out in the open air.

That being said, there's plenty going on behind the stone walls, too. The interior is full of curios, from the varied collection of furniture sourced from across the globe to the antique chandelier hanging over the grand dining table. When it comes to amenities, there's a games room in the main house, plus a steam room and gym in the separate cottage.

Although you may well be thinking that there's more than enough to keep you occupied at the home, there's also plenty to see in the local area, too. Keurbooms Beach is just over five minutes away by car, as is Goose Valley Golf Club. A little further afield, there's a great range of nature and game reserves to explore.

Light streams in through the glass doors here that lead out onto a private patio equipped with a swimming pool and deck chairs. Spend your mornings catching some rays while looking out over gorgeous city views before cooling off in the sparkling pool’s waters. Back inside, enjoy a celebratory meal around the dining table over a bottle of South African wine, then retreat to your four-poster beds where a blissful night’s sleep awaits. With rainfall showers and an en-suite soaking tub to boot, you’ve got everything you need for a carefree stay. 

Outside of your home, your De Waterkant locale has a plethora of fashion boutiques, commercial art galleries and global eateries to discover. You’re also within walking distance of the Iziko Bo-Kaap Museum, the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa and the bustling V&A Waterfront.

This amazing villa provides stunning, panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. Whether you are soaking up the sunshine as you lounge on a sunbed or cooling off in the waters of your private infinity pool, the vista really is amazing.

If adventures and excursions are what you’re looking for, you can charter a private yacht to visit the historic Robben’s Island or even go snorkelling and get up close and personal with the playful and curious Cape fur seals for an ultimate wildlife experience. 

Visit Table Mountain National Park – just a nine-minute drive away and go abseiling from the top of Table Mountain or enjoy the thrill of jet skiing across the waters in front of Table Mountain. 

You can even go on a 4x4 wine safari of Table Mountain where you will stop at the Blockhouse for stunning views over Cape Town accompanied by bubbles and snacks. Then the second part of the journey will take you around to Camps Bay with uninterrupted views of the Twelve Apostles while you enjoy a picnic lunch of cheeses, charcuterie, and a selection of perfectly-paired local South African wines. 

Why not explore the rest of Cape Town in a vintage car? Visit Saunders’ Rock Beach with its imposing granite rocks which shelter it from the wind – just a four-minute drive away. Or, spend the day on the sandy beach of Clifton 1st – just a five-minute drive away. 

In the evening, we would love to let a private chef take care of dinner as we unwind in the soothing bubbles of the hot tub before indulging in cocktails at the home’s very own bar. Then dine alfresco before playing a game of pool or watching a blockbuster movie in the dedicated cinema room. 

Heart of the Horizon

If your idea of a great holiday involves stunning ocean views, you’ll be hitting it out of the park with this beautiful home. Set in the heart of Mouille Point and overlooking the Atlantic, you can spend mornings curled up on the sofa, breaking between chapters to check in on the ocean just outside. 

Spend breakfasts at the striking dining table, the concertina doors gaping open to allow the sea-salt breeze in as you drink coffee, pass the scrambled eggs around, and chatter about the day’s plans. 

Those plans might involve a shopping trip at V&A Waterfront or perhaps a day at Mouille Point beach doing little more than listening to the waves lapping. For something a little more cultural, you can stop off at the Iziko Bo-Kaap Museum, only minutes away. Considering that the Bo-Kaap is famous for its brightly coloured houses, it’s worth seeing anyway – even just for a fabulous holiday photo.

Back home, soak up the calm atmosphere created by the natural elements, neutral colour palette, bohemian flair and many verdant green houseplants. And if the space isn’t enough to unwind, you can always enjoy a glass of wine on the balcony at sunset.

Portal to Mouille Point

Floor-to-ceiling windows in nearly every room give you ample opportunity to marvel at the incredible view. Whether you're watching TV on the sumptuous L-shaped sofa, preparing dinner in the glossy kitchen or waking up in the luxurious bedrooms, swaying palm trees and rolling waves will be your backdrop.

Dusk or dawn, the best spot to relish in the scenery is on the panoramic deck. Pull up a chair and pour yourself a cocktail, take a dip in the showstopping plunge pool or gather around the outdoor table for an alfresco feast in the seaside air – every second here will feel like a wonderland. It's so heavenly, in fact, we bet you'll find it hard to tear yourself away – but if you do, there's plenty nearby to tempt you.

It's just a short walk down to Camps Bay beach, so spend the afternoon lounging in the sand and swimming in the Atlantic. The waterfront promenade is lined with shops, restaurants and lively bars – ideal for anything from a quick bite to eat to a night on the town. Fancy some hiking? Head to Table Mountain National Park, where trails for every level of hiker lead through the mountains.
