Top 20 Culver City, Los Angeles vacation rentals & luxury serviced apartments
Reachable on the recently-opened Metro Expo Line (which is gloriously empty most days due to most Angelinos’ reluctance to engage with public transport) eclectic Culver City is currently one of the most desirable residential destinations on the west side. Rents remain relatively low while the creative and artistic industries flourish, so expect to share your neighbourhood with a younger crowd. Although Downtown’s creative district gets a lot of hype, the Culver City Arts District houses approximately 40 contemporary art galleries, notably Kopeikin Gallery, Thinkspace Gallery, David Kordansky Gallery and FP Contemporary. If you are visiting in the summer, take ‘Artwalk’, the free self-guided tour around La Cienega, east along Washington and Venice Boulevard, during which galleries stay open late and restaurants offer promotions. Note that most galleries are closed on Sundays and Mondays.
