This home is all about laid-back luxury. It’s part of a fabulous golf resort set in 900 acres of secluded wilderness, and it’s been carefully designed to tick every box for even the most discerning holidaymakers. 

Spacious and welcoming, the house is contemporary in style. Award-winning interior designer Carlo Collacci has thoughtfully put together a chic, modern space with subtle nods to the plaids and stripes of more traditional golf resorts. Bold splashes of colour in the chef’s kitchen complement the more muted tones of the dining room, and light floods the entire home. 

The first tee is a three-minute walk from the front door, so it’s no effort at all to hit the links. Later on, you might enjoy a game of corn hole or play board games. In the evening, settle on the terrace around the fire table – this is what holidays are all about.

In addition to a low-waste approach, most furnishings are vintage finds or ethically-made pieces, and the mattresses are from a local vegan company. Whilst here, guests must maintain a plant-based diet but don't worry, your host is standing by with recipe recommendations and food and wine pairings. Outside, kids can tire themselves out on the lawn whilst the grown-ups enjoy a drink in the hot tub, appreciating the greenery and quiet of the neighbourhood. Location-wise, beaches, antique shops, and vineyards are waiting to be explored.

Once an 1890s carriage house, this home has been designed for country living for a small family. Low timber ceilings and hardwood floors retain the barn-like element, but instead of hay bales, you’ve got comfortable king-size beds for grown-ups and secret sleeping spots for kids in the mezzanine above the loft. Huge windows in the living room let in the sunshine, streaming through the trees, and in the evening, there’s a wood-burning stove to keep the chill at bay. The open-plan kitchen has a large double fridge, kitchen island and plenty of storage space for all the fresh goodies from the nearby farmer’s market. You’re in the middle of nature’s bounty here, after all. The farm is at the foot of the Catskills, away from it all, so you can spend your days immersed in the wilderness of hiking and biking trails. Stick close to home and wander the acres of farm grounds, through woodlands, past ponds or just the short dander to the farm’s swimming pool.

While children are welcome here (your host can provide babysitter recommendations if you want some child-free time), the home isn’t suitable for little ones under two.
