Situated on the second floor of a modern apartment block, this light, bright, uncomplicated home features an open plan kitchen, dining and living room which opens out onto a spacious glass fronted terrace.  You’ll love waking up to views you could never dream of tiring of, taking your morning coffee at the breakfast bar or out onto the terrace for swoon worthy scenes of great natural beauty. Head over to the resort hub and treat yourself to a soothing pre-sauna soak in the hydro massage bath. Alternatively, get your sweat on in the resident’s only fitness centre followed by some laps of the indoor pool and some well-deserved me time in the relaxation room all while gazing out across lovely Lake Geneva.  

Truly a home for all seasons, in the winter you’ll be able to make the most of your close proximity to the ski slopes, while in the summer you’ll be able to hike, play a round of golf, lounge by the lake or even attend the mighty Montreux Jazz Festival, what could be better? 

Jazz & Joy

This bright and cosy apartment built in 1900 awaits you in Switzerland, granting you beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and verdant landscape. If you’ve been craving a rural escape, you’re in luck. While there is no TV, you and your loved ones can spend every moment together relaxing in the living space as you enjoy a board game no matter the time of day. There’s also a yoga mat that is perfect to use for a fabulous session that’s accompanied by a gorgeous backdrop of the scenery. 

Snuggle up on the sofa to read a book as the natural daylight pours in through the large windows that are found throughout the open space. Whip up delicious home-cooked meals in the royal blue kitchen, and tuck into tasty plates of food at the long dining table by the windows.

There's even a little balcony where you can enjoy the fresh air while you sip on a cup of coffee or a flute of champagne.

Lemon On The Mountain

On a pretty hillside, within sight of the snowcapped mountains, this historic chalet dates back to the late 1700s. Full of character, it's as chocolate-box perfect as they come, with a private balcony and a Scandinavian wood stove in the living room. Recently refurbished, it's comfortable and surprisingly spacious.

Inside, it's floor-to-ceiling natural wood, with a high, vaulted ceiling and all the living space open-plan. A cosy sofa area and dining table are over by the warm fire, and the kitchen is fully kitted out for cooking at home. And while one bedroom and a bathroom are on this level, a climb up the wooden stairs reveals a typical loft room with sleeping space for up to four more.

Ideal as a base for walking or cycling in the summer – and with a storage room for your kit on the lower level – this home is also just a short drive from the ski area. Set in a little village, you'll experience an authentic stay in the Alps like no other.

Chocolate & Charm

Overlooking Lake Geneva, this modern apartment puts you in the heart of Montreux with the lake on your doorstep. Our favourite spot is the balcony, where you can sit back with a coffee and admire the calm waters. It can get noisy, but the scenery is worth it. Better still, you'll also have first-class panoramas from the communal facilities, including a heated indoor pool (open year-round), an outdoor hot tub, and a fitness centre. There's also a sauna, hammam and a shared garden to take advantage of. Shops, restaurants, and cafes are within walking distance, so a car isn't necessary – but with ski slopes and hiking trails further afield and on-site parking available, it might be useful.

Laze by the Lake

Nestled in the picturesque Port-Valais,Monthey District, this enchanting 4-room apartment offers a memorable escape for those seeking tranquility and relaxation. Surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty, the property is a true haven of peace and harmony. Immerse yourself in the warm and inviting atmosphere as you bask in the sunlight filtering through the open terrace doors. Prepare delicious meals in the fully-equipped kitchen, complete with modern appliances and ample counter space. Unwind in the comfortable living/dining area, tastefully furnished with plush seating and a dining nook. Upstairs, you'll find spacious bedrooms adorned with cozy linens and boasting balcony access, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Indulge in a luxurious bath in the master ensuite, while taking in the serene vistas. This idyllic retreat is perfect for families or groups of friends looking to create lasting memories amidst breathtaking surrounds.

The Chic Gazing

Known for its beginner-friendly slopes and stunning Swiss Alps scenery, it's no surprise that Villars-sur-Ollon is a popular destination for families. Whether you're after excellent hiking in the summer, fantastic skiing in the winter or just a relaxing getaway in the mountains, there's something for everyone here, especially with the gondola a twelve-minute walk away, a free ski shuttle service and the restaurants and shops in town only six minutes by car.

This cosy chalet shows off the idyllic views in every direction and makes an ideal base for anyone exploring the region. You'll feel right at home in this rustic hideaway, with the open-hearth fireplace, squishy sofas and wooden panelling creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. It's the perfect place to kick off your snow boots and unwind with a cup of hot cocoa and a good book.

Our favourite spot to soak up the sunshine (and the scenery) is the deck off the main bedroom. Enjoy a cup of coffee there in the morning before rustling up breakfast in the kitchen, then grab your skis and snowboards and hit the slopes. When your toes feel frosty and your muscles are sore, head back home to a roaring fire and some delicious cheese fondue around the oak dining table before snuggling up for a family movie night in the lounge. 

Sommet

If you’re looking for a quiet sanctuary, with panoramic lake and mountain views, your search is over. This stunning Swiss home, sitting proudly by the water, really packs a punch when it comes to the surrounding scenery.

The interior purposefully tries not to distract you. That’s not to say it isn’t lovely – it’s beautiful. Neutral, open and airy with just the occasional pop of colour. Comfortable furnishings and artwork adorning the walls that remind you of the nature that surrounds you. But with walls of glass wrapping around the apartment, your eyes will naturally be drawn to what’s outside the window. 

Whether you’re lounging on one of the comfy sofas indoors or sipping a refreshing glass of crisp white wine on the sun-drenched balcony, you’re blessed with the lake languishing before you and the mountains stretching their way skywards. Scenic doesn’t seem a big enough word to describe the natural beauty afforded here. 

If you can tear yourself away from this lakeside home – which honestly, could be difficult – nature’s playground awaits. Whether you like to ski, hike, golf or take a gentle stroll around one of the numerous bodies of water, it’s all possible and in close proximity to your home. 

After a day out in the fresh mountain air exploring, retire to your little piece of paradise, sink into your comfortable bed and allow yourself to dream of tomorrow’s possibilities. 

In The Still Of The Water

There’s something wildly romantic about this home, a traditional chalet on the Swiss mountainside with modern twists – the slate living room wall is a masterpiece. Honey-toned woods and rich leathers create an atmosphere of warmth and light, no matter how much snow adorns the tops of the nearby Alpes Vaudoises, and with the home set over three storeys there’s plenty of space for all of your party to spread out and relax. We particularly love the bathrooms, that seem to test the limits of how stylish you can be in ski region Switzerland. The ski slopes of Villars-Gryon-Diablerets are a five-minute ride away on the free shuttle bus, but we wouldn’t blame you if you chose to spend the entire day sipping local wine on the balcony, soaking in the garden whirlpool, or just admiring that view over the mountains. 

Lady Of The Woods

This Alpine chalet is so quintessentially Swiss you’ll half expect a pig-tailed, basket-swinging Heidi to skip out of the front door to greet you. Which is certainly apt, as this home looks like it’s leapt straight from the pages of a storybook. With its Burgundy-coloured shutters, wooden exterior, ornate balcony, and surrounded by towering pine trees – velvety green in summer and dusted with snow in winter – this home is a delight to look at from the outside. And the inside isn’t half bad either – warm wood dominates the decor and creates that cosy, cabin feel. But there are flashes of personality here too, with vintage ski posters, deer-print cushions and glittering chandelier lights in the master bedroom. The real draw is the views – thanks to the home's elevated position you’ll be rewarded with a sensational picture of the Alps from both the sunny balcony and garden. The ski slopes are within easy reach, with the lift and free ski bus both just a kilometre away.

Among Pines

This self-sufficient chalet has clean modern lines and gets straight down to business. That’s not to say it isn’t charming, only that its form and function are perfectly married to create a simple, cleverly designed home that maximizes its breathtaking surroundings. Light wood walls and ceilings are cut out in big picture windows that reveal the gorgeous landscape. A toasty firepit speaks for itself with simple chairs arranged around it for your enjoyment. And the kitchen is bare but outfitted with the essentials for meals at home. We particularly love the front garden, which takes full advantage of the hill’s vantage point with two chairs and a small table waiting for you to take in the view. Enjoy evening sunsets or morning coffees out here before seeing all that the neighbouring area has to offer. You’ll be a quick twenty-minute drive from Bex and can easily reach Lac Léman with a fifty-minute drive. There’s a walking path just one mile from the home, and plenty of hiking paths in the area. Golfing, riding and mountain hiking are fair game in the summer and come winter, the ski resort of Villars is an easy thirty-minute drive away.

The wooden exterior gives way to a welcoming living space full of nods to the mountain location – think cosy cushions and deer antler details. Light up the fire on chilly evenings and kick off your boots to get cosy as you share stories from the day's excursions. When you get hungry, you can whip up a delicious feast in the kitchen to share at the long dining table. And, you even have your very own balcony, complete with jaw-dropping vistas across the valley. 

During the ski season, you can hop on the local bus and arrive at the lifts up to Villars Gryon Diablerets within a matter of minutes. If you're visiting during the warmer months then there's still plenty to do – hikers are spoilt for choice by the trails running through the dramatic landscapes. And, you can also play golf, go mountain biking, or even try paragliding nearby too.
