Smack bang in the heart of delightful Dénia, this no-fuss apartment is perfect for couples or solo travellers looking for some rest and relaxation on the Costa Blanca. Inside, the place strikes a balance between comfort and function. There’s a compact kitchen equipped for quick meals and a quiet bedroom to ensure a peaceful sleep night after night. But it was the view that was our favourite part. We could’ve spent hours on that modular chair, watching the palm trees sway and the boats to and fro from the harbour, only breaking our gaze to open a bottle of Rioja as the sun sets. Spend mornings exploring your locale – you’re a ten-minute walk from the Dénia Castle and eighteen minutes from the Marineta Casiana Beach. If you’re feeling curious, take the twenty-minute drive to Parc Natural del Montgó for stunning hiking routes or catch the ferry from the port to the dazzling Balearic Islands.

There's a fully equipped kitchen and comfortable living room area to relax in – albeit a little dated in terms of decor. Equipped for all seasons, there's a fireplace for cooler evenings and air conditioning for the summer months. We love the lawned gardens surrounding this family-friendly home – they boast superb sea and mountain views and include a large private pool and BBQ area too. While you can explore the local area on foot, we suggest a car for ease – Parc Natural del Montgó is less than 2km from the villa.

This charming villa with views of the Montgó, otherwise known as the Elephant, is a great setting to spend quality time with your loved ones. With mostly ensuite bedrooms, a private pool and a room to work out in, it has a lot going for it. We like the various sunny and shaded outdoor seating areas – with the poolside marquis being our favourite spot. The centre of Beniarbeig, with its shops and restaurants, is within walking distance of the villa and the nearest beach of Denia is only a short drive away.

There are multiple terraces, perfect for capturing the view from every angle, and topping up the tan. The beautiful living space blends traditional Spanish and contemporary styles with tasteful furnishings that will make you feel right at home. Whip up some tapas in the modern kitchen – try not to be distracted by the panoramic views from the large window – or if you prefer to cook alfresco, fire up the barbecue. After a long, lazy lunch, go for a dip in the glistening pool or explore the wildlife garden – that's what holidays are all about. There's plenty to do out and about if you fancy seeing more of the area. It's plain to see that somebody with a real eye for design has worked their magic on this townhouse found in the coastal town of Calp. Everywhere you look inside, there are tasteful touches, from the dining table made from a repurposed door and the unashamedly bright colours on the walls to the sheer range of objets d'art dotted about the home.

We're also happy to say that there's plenty of substance behind this style. The sleek black kitchen not only looks the part, but it's also well-equipped for whipping up a feast. We're also fond of the terrace, which has views out over the rooftops and verdant hillsides beyond.

When you're ready to get to know the locale a little better, you'll be surprised at how much there is to see. All of three minutes' walk from the home is Torreó de la Peça, the centuries-old defensive walls built to protect the town from marauders. Arena-Bol beach is a ten-minute walk, while further along the coastline, it's possible to head up to the top of Penyal d'Ifac in just over an hour on foot for some incredible views.

This single-level, modern villa on the Costa Blanca has all the ingredients for a great holiday. There are a good-sized private pool, nice garden and several terraces to enjoy – one of which is covered for some alfresco dining. The living room and bedrooms all have air conditioning and there is a woodburner for those chillier days. You can go sightseeing or soak up some culture in the nearby town of Moraira. For the adventure-seekers, there are activities such as snorkelling, kayaking and wind-surfing five kilometres down the road.

If you’d rather not venture out, three levels offer plenty of space to relax, plus a garden containing a private pool and Jacuzzi for those alfresco evenings.

Sitting just 100 metres from Platja de l'Olla on the Costa Blanca, this apartment offers a comfortable coastal break with plenty of sun-soaking opportunities in store. A private lawn with a shaded patio is the highlight of the home itself, with access to the outdoors from the living area and main bedroom. While the decor isn’t the most exciting in our collection, the home nonetheless benefits from a communal pool area – as well as a children’s pool for little ones – and beautifully manicured gardens with sea views. You’ll also find bars and the promenade within 500 metres, Altea within 2 kilometres, not to mention plenty of outdoor activities on hand nearby, including hiking, cycling, kayaking, fishing, diving, snorkelling and waterskiing.

A short drive from the beach, this villa is placed on the residential outskirts of Dénia, which boasts a medieval castle in the city. A scenic golf course is less than four kilometres away, perfect for a nine-hole round before a barbecue lunch at home. With its serene outdoor space surrounding the private pool, we think this will be a hit for families seeking a balanced holiday. Sensible bonuses include ample parking, a work desk, and varied services if you fancy a treat.

Situated just a short drive from the coastal town of Moraira, this modern villa is a great base for a family stay on the Costa Blanca. You’ll need a car to reach the beach and explore the local area, but you’ll also have fabulous sea views to take advantage of back home. Our eye was immediately drawn to the outdoor areas – hello, private pool – and the villa's stylish and light-filled interiors are the icing on the cake. There are some steep stairs to climb inside, though – it may not suit guests with reduced mobility.

With a separate interior apartment alongside the main house and countless private verandas leading off the bedrooms, it’s an excellent option for an extended family looking to holiday together without crowding each other. The eight private parking spaces keep things easy when it’s time to explore – starting at the coveted beaches of Benissa, just a five-kilometre drive away. Kids will thank you for that outdoor cinema room to crash out in the evening. And you’ll all love the ambient tropical garden terraces to toast the day’s end.

This stylish pet-friendly apartment lies on the coast of Altea, overlooking the harbour. On the fifth floor with lift access, this home is a great base for exploring the promenade, beach, and cultural sights. There's always the chance of hearing some noise from neighbours, so if you're a light sleeper it may be worth packing earplugs. With a communal garden, the sea right on your doorstep and the whole of Altea to explore by car, you can't get much closer to the action.

Can you see it? Breakfast alfresco in the loggia and afternoon drinks under the sun umbrella right next to the tree? Steal away for a cup of coffee at the small two-seater table on the secluded patio and bask in the sun on one of the sunloungers when you’re not paddling in the cool waters of the private pool. Grab the wine and nibbles and sit back next to the barbecue as you fire up the grill for dinner. Located between Valencia and Alicante and just 10km north of the port of Dénia on the Costa Blanca, you're spoiled for options when it comes to day trips if you'd like to explore further. Whether you're after a slice of culture and cuisine in Valencia, want to experience Alicante's legendary nightlife, or keep things low-key in Dénia's old town, there's something for everyone.

With easy access to eateries and bars, this villa invites your family to stay two kilometres from the Castillo de Moraira and a small-town promenade. Come and sunbathe on Platja de l'Ampolla before driving inland to Costa Blanca's most famous climb at Coll de Rates. Once you return to the driveway, you'll see that this home revolves around its outside space. On the terrace, there's a barbecue and a little outdoor kitchen, so you can enjoy poolside snacks and sip sundowners with sea views.

Designed around leisure, the apartment complex features an indoor and outdoor pool, a fitness room and a hammam and sauna room - all for guests to use at their own disposal. 

Situated in Benitachell, just a ten-minute drive away from Moraig Beach, you'll be in a prime position for exploring the sandy shores of the Alicante coastline – with plenty of shops, bars and waterfront restaurants waiting to be discovered. 


Blue Infinity

This is a villa that will have even the most hard-to-please guests grinning. A lot of that is down to its fabulous views of the glistening Mediterranean and Isla del Portitxol, but special praise also goes to the peaceful swimming pool surrounded by treetops and the covered terrace complete with an alfresco dining table. Although some of the bathrooms are a little dated, we've only got kind words for the three-level layout – we particularly love the main bedroom with a sea-facing balcony. To top it all off, you don't have far to venture for beautiful gold-sand beaches, either.
