If you're planning a fantastic trip to the vibrant city of Barcelona, you can't go wrong with this lavish apartment. Located in the Eixample district, one of the city's best-loved areas, it's the perfect place to kick back and relax between your sightseeing trips. 

The apartment is super spacious, with room for up to eight guests to settle in and get comfortable. You'll love the traditional touches throughout the home, from the wooden ceiling beams and the patterned tiles to the huge windows with sage green shutters. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook up a delicious feast using fresh local ingredients – don't forget a bottle of Rioja to accompany your meal. And there's no better place to relax at the end of a busy day than the large private balcony – get comfortable and watch the world go by below. 

Eixample is known for its grand boulevards and elegant architecture which houses a range of independent restaurants and boutiques. Fans of Gaudí's work will be delighted that the iconic Sagrada Familia is less than ten minutes away on foot, and Casa Mila is the same distance away in the opposite direction. And, if you want to explore other parts of the city, you can take the metro from Verdaguer Station – it's just a five-minute stroll away.

White Orchids

Cool, calm and collected, this Scandinavian-chic penthouse is blessed with plenty of charisma. Everything about this home is effortlessly stylish – we especially love the vintage Beni Ourain-inspired rug, the handcrafted wooden light fixture, and the 1950s Ercol butterfly chairs. However, the cherry on top is the huge arched window in the living room, which frames the beautiful buildings of Avenida Diagonal in a mesmerising way. So, excuse us while we take a moment to imagine ourselves sitting in front of the luminous windows, enjoying the majestic views. Should this magnificent view not be enough, there's also a welcoming private terrace that's kitted out for alfresco feasts, while the adjacent sunroom is perfect for an afternoon siesta. Enjoy a glass of cava on the sun lounger before heading out to explore the neighbourhood. Explore Eixample and stroll along nearby streets, including the pedestrianised Enric Granados, vibrant Casanova and upmarket Aribau – all of which are lined with charming cafes, outstanding restaurants and vibrant bars within a fifteen-minute walk.

Meet Cute

This apartment is on one of Barcelona's most fashionable boulevards, close to Las Ramblas and the late-night tapas bars of the Gothic Quarter. Passeig de Gràcia with its shops, restaurants and bars, is just a five-minute walk away. There’s a sense of old-world grandeur inside thanks to chandeliers and corniced ceilings, in keeping with the historic building. The apartment is family-sized, but might feel cramped at capacity with three in one bedroom and two on the sofa bed in the living room. Balconies off the living room and one of the bedrooms face Rambla Catalunya – perfect for people-watching.

The Eliza

Enviably located in the heart of Barcelona, footsteps from the Plaça de Catalunya and a bus ride from Barceloneta Beach, this apartment is an excellent choice for all travelling types. If you wish to stay as a group of ten, it’s worth noting there’s not enough comfortable seating, and it’s a bit of a squeeze around the dining table for that many people. The small balcony is a nice spot to enjoy a sundowner, and the kitchen is well-appointed for self-catering.

The Influence of Light

As far as homes in La Dreta de l'Eixample go, Caletre is a solid representation of the neighbourhood's architecture. Adorned with Modernist masterpieces, this part of Barcelona boasts great architecture on every corner and even the insides of an unassuming building like this one show some masterful craft. True, the street you'll be staying on is a little bit noisy, but we think that easy access to the cultural heart of town more than makes up for it. 

Caletre

With communal spaces like the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, there are no prizes for guessing how this home made it into our collection. The rooftop terrace and small pool offer villa living in the heart of the city, with this home soaring above Barcelona's exclusive Passeig de Grácia district – perfect for retail therapy. But don't ignore the home's jungle-themed interior – equipped with everything needed for extended stays, it's ideal no matter your trip's duration, and it's stylish to boot.

Every Day Is Beautiful

Step into a world of peace and tranquility in this boho chic home located in Barcelona’s Eixample neighbourhood. The living room’s dark green and white palette feels instantly soothing against its blend of wood, rattan and suede decor, with a large fig plant, ferns and a framed creeping ivy giving the space a sense of garden-like serenity. The mellow vibes continue in the green, plant-filled bedroom where French doors open onto a beautiful balcony. Sit here with your morning coffee as you watch the hustle and bustle of the street below, or enjoy romantic evening drinks here as you watch the sunset over the city. With elegant Passeig de Gràcia just a five-minute walk away, Casa Batlló right around the corner and countless Catalan bistros and bars right on your front door, there’s no end to the entertainment to be enjoyed from this urban oasis. 

Fig & Ivy

Neat and practical, this nifty studio is situated in the heart of Eixample. Its terrace looks out at a 19th-century water tower, which might not be one of the city’s most iconic landmarks but serves as a nice backdrop to a cosy cocktail evening. If you fancy a change of scenery, though, you’re within easy reach of Gaudí’s Casa Batlló, as well as Plaça de Catalunya where you’ll find plenty of shops and cafés to while away the day. And while the kitchen’s slightly limited, this home is surrounded by tonnes of bustling bars and restaurants, so you won’t have to venture far for a bite of something delicious to eat.

The City Flower

This apartment makes a great base for an exciting city stay. Located right in the heart of Barcelona, it’s just a 100-metre stroll to Las Ramblas, while the beach is just 2 kilometres away. And while there is plenty to explore on the doorstep, this home brings ease, comfort and convenience to city living. It’s likely you’ll hear some street noise throughout your stay, but you will find it’s well suited to couples and families with the handy addition of a sofa bed in the living room. 

Sunflower Serenade 

El Born is a bustling barrio of cafés, cocktails, and Catalan culture. Seconds from all the action, your home is located in a historical building with buckets of charm. We love the exposed brickwork and wooden beams of this original flat. These rustic structural features contrast beautifully with modern, understated furnishings and decor. Huge floor-to-ceiling windows open up on balconies overlooking the street, while cushy sofas and flowing curtains add softness to your surroundings. Up on the communal roof terrace, we recommend getting a cold drink and lying back in the sun loungers. This sunny spot is perfect for an iced coffee in the morning, or a chilled glass of wine in the evening. After relaxing up here, head down to street level to check out the bars and restaurants of El Born. It's also a fifteen-minute walk to the beach and just over five to the Parc de la Ciutadella. With the Barceloneta metro stop five minutes from home, the entire city is yours to explore. But if you're feeling a little overwhelmed by all the incredible options, your friendly host is here to help. They can provide tourist information as well as city maps, taxi booking, and tickets for monuments and museums – truly a first-class service.

L'Artiste

With floor-to-ceiling windows that offer views of Barcelona's most rebellious architecture, the best thing this home offers is sightseeing from the comfort of your sofa. Both the furniture and art are a pleasant unobtrusive mix of the old and new, showing that the host knows how to fill a space with meaningful pieces without making it look cluttered. But we have to admit – although it's well-designed, the layout of this home is a bit peculiar, with the kitchen fashioned inside a corridor and a tempered glass bathroom separating the second and third bedroom.
