One of the first things you'll spot from the private balcony of this smart apartment is the Xemeneia de la Bordeta – the historic smokestack of one of the 19th Century porcelain factories this area was famed for. Today it's a protected landmark standing tall in the small square of Plaça de Joan Corrades i Bosch, just opposite this colourful, freshly renovated home. 

Here you're guaranteed a comfortable stay, with plenty of natural light, a squashy velvet sofa to put your feet up on and that rare piece of outdoor space – somewhere to people watch over your morning coffee as the bustling neighbourhood bursts into life. The bedrooms are bright and simple, with space for a small family or a few friends. It's an easy walk to the nearby Magic Fountain of Montjuïc for the nightly shows of light and colour, and the Metro station a few minutes from your door gives you easy access to the rest of the city.

Located on the cusp of the Eixample neighbourhood, this apartment puts you in an excellent position to explore the city in style. It's right on the Ronda de la Universitat, a major thoroughfare in the city, but this sanctuary is pretty peaceful – thanks to it being on the inner side of the building, you get to enjoy the central location without the noise. We liked the splashes of mauve in the living room, as well as the use of natural materials. The kitchen is kitted out with basic seasonings and cooking ingredients, and there's a juicer and Nespresso machine to make mornings a delight. And the true standout feature of this home is the bedroom, with its impressive modern twist on a classic four-poster bed and painted brick wall. Step outside, and it's just a four-minute walk to the Plaça de Catalunya, and you can arrive at the labyrinthine Gothic Quarter in less than fifteen minutes.

If we could choose one street out of the thousands in Barcelona to lay our hats for a stay in the city, it would always be the leafy, pedestrianised Carrer d'Enric Granado of the L'Eixample district. And luckily for you, it's the setting of this oh-so-elegant apartment. Brimming with highly-brunchable cafes, ice-cream parlours, and galleries and within walking distance of the city's must-see sights, you couldn't dream up a better location. 

Inside, vaulted ceilings dating way back to the 1800s bring all the wow factor – while a glorious mishmash of heirloom-worthy antiques and curated artwork add layers of interest and authenticity. Guests rave about the careful attention to detail here and we couldn't agree more. There's a dedicated desk area to keep on top of emails, a slick kitchen, and two fully modernised bathrooms, complete with rainfall showers to kick start your day.

You're in for a treat with a stay at this contemporary apartment perched along a handsome leafy avenue of the well-heeled Eixample district. Home to Gaudí's architectural gems, haute couture shops, and Michelin star restaurants, they call this neck of the woods Quadrat d'Or (Golden Square) for a good reason.

Back at home, the pristine, uncluttered interiors will appeal to all you minimalists out there. Flooded with natural daylight thanks to those floor-to-ceiling Juliet balcony windows, it feels like a breath of fresh air to return to after a day soaking up all that Gaudi extravagance in the streets below.

Drop your bags in the spacious hallway, grab a glass of something crisp (the complimentary chilled wine will help with that), then fling the balcony doors open wide to watch the grand avenue of Gran Via bustle below. One of Barcelona's longest boulevards crossing right through the city, it's an impressive sight to behold. And thanks to its elevated position on the fifth floor, the spacious bedrooms feel surprisingly quiet at night with the windows closed and the black-out blinds drawn.

How Transparent

This stylish apartment, housed in a grand period building, has a fantastic address. Gaudí's masterpiece Casa Batlló is a three-minute saunter, while it's a six-minute stroll to Paseo De Gracia with its museums and designer boutiques galore (Gucci, Chanel and Versace, amongst many others). Plaza Catalunya and Las Ramblas, on the other hand, are a ten-minute walk away or visit one of Barcelona's most iconic attractions, the Sagrada Familia, just over twenty minutes on foot.

Back at this home, open the French doors to the balcony and have a seat on the comfy sofa after all that sightseeing. We love the high ceilings here and traditional wall mouldings. There's a gorgeous, modern four-poster bed as well – this place is perfect for a couple or friends looking for a bolt hole in Barcelona.

There's a reason Eixample is one of Barcelona's most sought-after neighbourhoods. It's known for modernist architecture, upscale shopping, and lively eateries – in our opinion, you couldn't ask for a better stomping ground. Alongside being centrally located, this apartment is stylish and comfortable. We're big fans of the hanging chair in the main bedroom's sunny nook – the perfect spot to unwind with a glass of Rioja – while the dedicated workspace is ideal for business travellers. The second bedroom is on the cosier side, so it's a better fit for children.

It’s a great part of the city for enjoying alfresco drinks, meandering along tree-lined streets, and shopping in stylish boutiques. The apartment is stylish and comfortable, with everything you might need for a city break. We love that guests staying here get access to a shared rooftop terrace.

This apartment has a modern style and is located in the heart of Barcelona's bustling city centre, next to Plaça de Catalunya and Passeig de Gràcia. Just a five-minute stroll from the Barri Gòtic and El Born, as well as being surrounded by plenty of bars and restaurants, you really couldn't be asked to be better placed. The home also benefits from a Juliet balcony and a stylish living area with a sociable breakfast bar – ideal for morning coffees before setting off for a day of sightseeing. You're also a three-minute walk from the FGC train station and the Plaça Catalunya metro station, both connecting you to the entire city with ease.

This apartment offers a central location in Barcelona's Gothic Quarter and a practical pad to call your own. Just a short stroll from Barcelona Cathedral, Plaza Catalunya and the various shops, restaurants and bars, you really couldn't be better placed for exploring the city. The home's bedrooms vary in size, with limited space so you'll want to pack light. That said, we think the modern design, which benefits from traditional Catalan touches, makes for a lovely home to come back to after a busy day of sightseeing.

Immerse yourself in Barcelona's rich cultural history as you visit the city's famed Casa Batlló. Proudly sat just a one-minute stroll from your new home from home, this must-see structure was designed by Antoni Gaudí in 1904 and has since become one of the city's most iconic landmarks.

Just a further four-minutes away, you can find yet another of Gaudi's masterpieces - La Pedrera. Here you can take some snap shots and soak up Barcelona's spectacular sights before heading to the city's most famous shopping mall, El Corte Inglés, for a much-needed spot of retail therapy.

Everything about this home is effortlessly stylish – we especially love the vintage Beni Ourain-inspired rug, the handcrafted wooden light fixture, and the 1950s Ercol butterfly chairs. However, the cherry on top is the huge arched window in the living room, which frames the beautiful buildings of Avenida Diagonal in a mesmerising way. So, excuse us while we take a moment to imagine ourselves sitting in front of the luminous windows, enjoying the majestic views. Should this magnificent view not be enough, there's also a welcoming private terrace that's kitted out for alfresco feasts, while the adjacent sunroom is perfect for an afternoon siesta. Enjoy a glass of cava on the sun lounger before heading out to explore the neighbourhood. Explore Eixample and stroll along nearby streets, including the pedestrianised Enric Granados, vibrant Casanova and upmarket Aribau – all of which are lined with charming cafes, outstanding restaurants and vibrant bars within a fifteen-minute walk.

Meet Cute

You’ll struggle to find an apartment more central than this, sitting just off the Plaça Catalunya and a three-minute mosey to the leafy Las Ramblas. Its homespun living area and inviting bedrooms make for relaxing spaces away from the hubbub. Open up the French doors to be enveloped by a warm Spanish breeze as you tuck into a tasty breakfast. Throw something together in the kitchen or pick up a bite to eat from the café around the corner. Put on your sandals, slap on your sun cream and take to Barcelona’s historic streets. Just a few blocks from Plaza de España and in walking distance of both Old Town and Barcelona's port, it's no exaggeration to say this two-storey home puts you in the centre of the action. We were fond of the modern interior, pleasingly combing with the traditional vaulted ceilings. The shaded terrace is a particularly nice touch, allowing you to grab some fresh air while you relax at home. When it's time to head out, you'll find museums and shopping centres practically on your doorstep.

Antique Mosaic

This wonderful central location places you in the heart of Passeig de Gràcia, surrounded by tapas bars, authentic restaurants and trendy shops. You’re also a short stroll from the many highlights of Barcelona, from Gaudí's famous Casa Batlló and Casa Milà to the Sagrada Familia and bustling Plaça de Catalunya. The apartment itself is designed with functionality in mind and offers some fabulous perks. All of Barcelona's hotspots are within walking distance, or you can hop on the metro. The stop's just a five-minute walk. Passeig de Gràcia, Plaça de Catalunya, La Rambla, Gran Vía are all within a twenty-minute walk and provide all of the architectural beauty, tapas bars, and sangria spots that your heart desires.

When your feet are starting to hurt and the sun's pounding down, getting back to the air-conditioned apartment for a quick breather will feel bliss. Head to the shared terrace to relax in the bubbling pool. No, it isn't a mirage. A swimming pool in one of the busiest neighbourhoods in Barcelona is a rare sight, but you deserve only the best.

After you've got ready for the night, head to Barceloneta beach. It's a fourty-seven-minute walk away, but the easiest way to get there is the metro, which takes just twenty-five minutes door-to-door. It's a great place to sunbathe by day, but even better to watch the sunset by dusk. The beach is lined with plenty of restaurants, bars, and clubs to whittle the night away.

Functional but with plenty of charm too, this home in Barcelona first caught our eye with its exposed brick and Catalan vaulted ceilings – all while adding in plenty of modern amenities. We also love that there is a little balcony here, handy for catching a glimpse of the city before you head out to explore. Nearby you'll find the Old Town, Barcelona's port, and the Las Arenas shopping centre, meaning you'll be swamped with choices for ways to spend your day.

Tiptoes On The Roof

Incorporating soft tones, natural textures and warm wood accents, this beach-inspired apartment ideally located in trendy El Born connects guests with the very best of Barcelona’s cultural charms. Spend unhurried mornings reclining in the breezy living space, idly sipping a café con leche in the hanging chair or tucking into flaky pastries at the dining table. Should you have some business to attend to, there’s a dedicated office space to make remote working a breeze. Take a wander through your neighbourhood’s medieval streets, stopping to soak up the sun in Ciutadella Park or to pore over masterpieces in the renowned Picasso Museum, a mere five-minute stroll from your doorstep. When exploring becomes thirsty walk, nip into a nearby, old-school taberna – we recommend a glass of refreshing tinto de verano with a side of pintxo if you’re feeling peckish.

Sun Daze

Whether you're staying as a family or a group of friends, this home in the heart of Barcelona is ideally situated for sightseeing excursions. The Gothic Quarter is within walking distance of the building, and if you need a break from the heat, Somorrostro Beach is easily reachable by bus. The interior of the pad is simple yet well-equipped for any length of stay. What's more, there's a balcony for alfresco refreshments, although it is somewhat overlooked by the neighbouring apartments.

Barcelona Love

This grand apartment is a rare city find, with its ornate interiors, picturesque terrace and central location. It’s an ideal spot if you’re visiting as a large group, with sharing-style bedrooms and a large living room for enjoying post-sightseeing drinks. That said, the apartment is a little compact in areas, with the kitchen being better suited for light bites and the dining room only seating six or eight at most. Location-wise, Plaça Catalunya, Passeig de Gràcia, and La Rambla are just a short walk away.

Catalunya Charm

This flat's earthy tones and use of natural materials gives the space a warm and cosy vibe – and we adore every inch. Design-wise, the style here is rustic and a little bit bohemian, with rattan furniture, crochet artwork and swoon-worthy exposed brick walls. Everything you'll need is taken care of by your lovely hosts – the glossy kitchen has basic ingredients and cooking gear, the flatscreen comes equipped with Netflix and Apple TV services and the home manual is the most thorough one we've ever seen. And despite the shared lobby entrance being off a busy road, the apartment is sat at the back of the building and is relatively quiet, making it an excellent spot to relax, unwind and sprawl out after a busy day exploring. Speaking of, you'll find this flat in lively Eixample, a hub of cultural attractions, Gaudi architecture and high-end boutiques. The Cathedral of Barcelona is only a thirteen-minute walk, while Mercado de La Boqueria is ten minutes on foot – head there for fresh produce and local ingredients when you feel like cooking. Whether you want to grab brunch or stroll through a museum, people-watch in a square or dance the night away at a nightclub, this area is rife with adventure.

Burnt Umber

Gold-leaf frames and marble finishings make for an upscale design at this flat in central Barcelona. It overlooks the iconic Passeig de Gràcia, a pedestrian avenue known for its array of shops, restaurants and bars. This busy and exciting district is the heartbeat of the city. Back up in this secluded apartment, which sits in a beautiful building, you'll find the tall ceilings and regal furniture will make you feel like royalty. Take lunch or dinner beneath the chandelier, and admire the works of art and views of the city. Watch the widescreen TV on the antique sofa and armchair, before climbing up to the mezzanine and retiring to bed. If you're staying up, head out to the Plaça de Catalunya just outside and enjoy the nightlife. 

The Majestic Passage

From its warm, earthy hues to its blend of beautiful textures, this home in Barcelona’s Eixample neighbourhood instantly feels calming. Wood floors, an alcove ceiling and ample natural light greet you in the open-plan living area where a cushy sofa invites you to kick back and relax with a glass of wine while a record serenades you. Catch up on work at the dedicated desk space here, taking breaks to perch by the Juliet balconies with a coffee. The dining table beckons hearty homemade tapas feasts when you’re not out sampling the local restaurants, while the bedroom is all ready to drift you into a good night’s sleep after a busy day in the city. 

Speaking of which, you’ve got plenty to see and do nearby with Carrer Enric Granados offering galleries, swish cafes, and luxury boutiques, as well as some of Gaudí’s most notable architectural masterpieces along famous Passeig de Gràcia.

This quirky apartment in the Eixample district of Barcelona scored plenty of ticks from us. The interior design combines classy hotel-standard touches, such as shiny wooden flooring and the gleamingly white kitchen and bathrooms, with some eclectic flourishes that add a whole lot of character — the list of French authors in cursive script on the living room wall and the inset golden display frames holding potted flowers come to mind. The balcony off the living room — as well as the Juliet in one of the bedrooms — adds some outside space to the address, while the location is close to perfect for getting the most out of the city. As well as being part of the same neighbourhood as some of Gaudi's most celebrated projects, Plaça de Catalunya is two minutes' walk around the corner and Platja de la Barceloneta can be reached in twenty minutes on the bus.


The Safari Dance

Attention to detail makes this Barcelona apartment a special one. This beautifully decorated space is full of natural light, thanks to the multiple balconies. You might hear some noise from the street below, but that often comes with being in such a central location. The Eixample neighbourhood is full of bars, cafes, tapas spots, and international restaurants to explore. And it’s easy to get to the rest of the city too with great transport links. Back home, the cosy decor makes this a lovely place to come back to. The well-equipped, large kitchen is particularly good for those staying long-term – you can even bring your pet along to really make it home.

Classic Barcelonan architecture is at the heart of this home with domed brick and beamed ceilings, wood floors and French doors giving way to a wrought-iron Juliet balcony.
