Push open the front door, and you'll find monochrome furnishings with the occasional pop of blue – this contemporary space is perfect for relaxing between your adventures. The open-plan set-up means you can chat with your fellow guests while cooking or preparing drinks, and there's space for the whole group to gather around the table for some quality time together. 

From here, you can easily explore the city – the surrounding Eixample district is famous for its art nouveau architecture, buzzing bars, and trendy restaurants. The iconic Casa Milà is just around the corner, while the Sagrada Familia is a twenty-minute walk away. And, if you want to venture further afield in the city, simply hop on the metro at Diagonal station – it's only a two-minute walk away.

Located on the cusp of the Eixample neighbourhood, this apartment puts you in an excellent position to explore the city in style. It's right on the Ronda de la Universitat, a major thoroughfare in the city, but this sanctuary is pretty peaceful – thanks to it being on the inner side of the building, you get to enjoy the central location without the noise. We liked the splashes of mauve in the living room, as well as the use of natural materials. The kitchen is kitted out with basic seasonings and cooking ingredients, and there's a juicer and Nespresso machine to make mornings a delight. And the true standout feature of this home is the bedroom, with its impressive modern twist on a classic four-poster bed and painted brick wall. Step outside, and it's just a four-minute walk to the Plaça de Catalunya, and you can arrive at the labyrinthine Gothic Quarter in less than fifteen minutes. 

Cuboides

Having recently undergone a renovation, this Gràcia apartment is awash with earthy colours, natural materials and leafy houseplants. It could be said that the design isn't so much led by Catalan influences as by North African style – whatever the inspiration, it's undeniably easy on the eye.

Not only that, but it's somewhere in which you'll quickly feel at home. The sleek white kitchen is plenty big enough for whipping up family-sized feasts, while there are a couple of spots in which to do nothing more strenuous than relax and take it easy – the hammock chair is sure to be a firm favourite among some guests, while the balcony allows you to get a burst of fresh air during warm afternoons.

That's not if you're already out and about exploring the cultural riches of Barcelona. One of the city's must-see sights – La Sagrada Familia – is less than a quarter of an hour's walk away, while you can also get to Barceloneta Beach in around half an hour on public transport.

If we could choose one street out of the thousands in Barcelona to lay our hats for a stay in the city, it would always be the leafy, pedestrianised Carrer d'Enric Granado of the L'Eixample district. And luckily for you, it's the setting of this oh-so-elegant apartment. Brimming with highly-brunchable cafes, ice-cream parlours, and galleries and within walking distance of the city's must-see sights, you couldn't dream up a better location. 

Inside, vaulted ceilings dating way back to the 1800s bring all the wow factor – while a glorious mishmash of heirloom-worthy antiques and curated artwork add layers of interest and authenticity. Guests rave about the careful attention to detail here and we couldn't agree more. There's a dedicated desk area to keep on top of emails, a slick kitchen, and two fully modernised bathrooms, complete with rainfall showers to kick start your day.

But the clincher for us has to be that lavish living room with panoramic views of the city from the Juliette balcony. Grab yourself a freshly brewed coffee and peer out over the balcony to watch city life awaken below along its leafy avenue – it's everything you imagined it would be.

Enrique's Place

If you’re looking for an unforgettable stay in the heart of Barcelona, this dreamy penthouse apartment is just the ticket. Located a two-minute walk from Plaça Catalunya and boasting wide-sweeping views of it from its huge private terrace, this home is the very definition of the high life. Laid out over two floors (with one bedroom on the lower floor) you’ll enjoy plenty of privacy here when needed, as well as ample space for socialising. Of course, the terrace is the main place to be for gatherings over alfresco breakfasts and sunset drinks paired with homemade tapas. But the living room – with its large glass doors and sunny dining spot – is just as enviable when it comes to lounging and spending time together. While it’s hard to resist this home’s views, we guarantee that exploring your Eixample neighbourhood is just as fun as watching the hustle and bustle of Plaça Catalunya from above. Shop along Passeig de Gràcia (a one-minute walk), admire Gaudí’s Casa Batlló (an eight-minute walk) and take an afternoon stroll through Ciutadella Park (fifteen minutes away on foot). With La Sagrada Familia a thirty-minute walk away too and countless bars, shops and restaurants on your front step, you’ve got everything you need for a perfect city stay. 


Montsià

With a fantastic position in the middle of Eixample, this apartment puts you close to many of Barcelona's most famous sights. Even if you plan to spend most of your time exploring the city's streets, you'll be happy to return to this stylish home at the end of the day.

High ceilings and tall windows mean that the interior feels bright and airy, but there's also a Juliet balcony if you want to feel the breeze on your face at any point. There's a lot to like about the design too, with wooden furnishings and surfaces going nicely with the cool grey tiles and eclectic selection of objets d'art. We're fans of the exposed brickwork in the master bedroom, which adds a loft feel to the space, as well as the pristine subway tiling in the bathrooms.

When it comes to sightseeing, the place to start has to be Casa Milà, which lies five minutes' walk from the home. One of Gaudí's other famous creations, La Sagrada Familia, can be reached in twenty-five minutes on foot, too. The Gothic Quarter takes a similar amount of time in another direction.

This wonderful central location places you in the heart of Passeig de Gràcia, surrounded by tapas bars, authentic restaurants and trendy shops. You’re also a short stroll from the many highlights of Barcelona, from Gaudí's famous Casa Batlló and Casa Milà to the Sagrada Familia and bustling Plaça de Catalunya. The apartment itself is designed with functionality in mind and offers some fabulous perks. Enjoy a complementary Catalan breakfast in the cafe downstairs, all the benefits of a 5-star hotel (doorman, lobby, on-site parking), and the shared rooftop terrace with plenty of outdoor dining space for your group. 

La Vida Llega

One look at that private terrace with sweeping views over Barcelona, and it's easy to see why this home caught our eye. Location-wise, you're right in the heart of vibrant Glòries. Don't miss the nearby mall with its long-standing flea market and upscale shops and eateries. Or hop over into neighbouring L'Eixample to hit the must-see sights. If we were being picky, though the kitchen is well-equipped, it could do with an interior refresh. It's also worth noting the second bedroom is pocket-sized with limited floor space. But we'll let that slide for a home with such impressive outdoor space.

This elegant apartment is in the centre of Barcelona, 100 metres from Las Ramblas and a short walk from Plaza de Catalunya. Bars, restaurants and shops are all on your doorstep. Apart from a full kitchen and delightful dining room inside, there’s a private terrace for evening cocktails outside. In the living room, you’ve got a dedicated laptop desk for those that need to work remotely. Despite the central location, it’s pretty quiet as the rooms look out over the terrace rather than the busy street.
