In this rural haven, there is plenty of room to bask in the sun. The two single beds in one of the bedrooms make it ideal for bringing your children on vacation, especially with the sparkling pool in the backyard. Float on your back while gazing up at the blue sky; here's your reminder to wear sunscreen. The cottage's interior has a rustic motif and is large enough to accommodate a family.

Gather the family around the wooden table, which features a unique autumnal tree feature. Though this may slightly block your view while attempting to talk to your loved ones, you have to admit that it looks fantastic. While sipping a martini on the wooden roof area, listen to your children's laughter as they play in the pool.

We recommend renting a car when staying here due to the property's remote location. The nearest beach is about a twelve–minute drive away, and the restaurants and stores in the area are only accessible by vehicle, unless you like long walks. However, in a location like this with gorgeous views, is a long walk really a bad thing?

Step out onto the patio for wide-sweeping views over the hills and mountains, best enjoyed around the table beneath the pergola over an alfresco barbecue or sat at the small breakfast table perfectly placed to take in the stunning scenery. What’s more, you’ve got a shimmering saltwater pool in which to while away the hours, as well as a ping pong table for some friendly competition. 

While you could easily spend all day basking in the glorious views and making the most of your home’s fabulous amenities, take time to explore nearby El Gastor (2.8 kilometres away), or take a day trip to beautiful Ronda – perched on a deep gorge – 42 kilometres from your door.

We love this apartment's contemporary interior, with warm-toned low-hanging light fixtures setting the mood above the dining table and chic stools tucked into the breakfast bar. It's wonderfully sociable, where you can cook, eat, talk, and relax, all together in one room. The huge patio doors create a wonderful sense of indoor/outdoor living, inviting the Spanish sun to light up the home's bright walls. Both bedrooms have a patio door too – stepping straight onto your terrace and feeling the morning sun on your face is the perfect wake-up call.

It's the spacious terrace that's the main talking point here. We love how there's enough space to eat meals alfresco around the dining table as well as a comfortable outdoor sofa and loungers to soak up the Costa del Sol sun. Spend lazy mornings sipping fresh coffee while looking out at the calm Mediterranean Sea before heading downstairs to the pool. Lounge around, catching up on your holiday read, before taking a dip in the waters to cool off.
