A private pool, folds of flowerbeds, scads of vibrantly coloured fruit trees and sweeping views of the hills and woodlands await. Its rural locale means you’ll need a car to get around, but you needn’t drive far for a taste of local life. The spa town of Mondariz-Balneario is a ten-minute drive, and when you’re craving a day by the coast, you’ll find Cesantes forty minutes away. 


The Sun Always Shines

Situated in the wonderful region of Galicia, this charming villa enjoys a peaceful setting whilst being just a short stroll from the beach, offering the perfect spot to spend sunny days and make the most of the picturesque coastline. Located off a quiet road, this property is arranged over several levels, making the most of its spectacular views down to the sea and Aldan estuary. The stone facade makes a striking presence, and the spacious rooms spill out onto various front terraces where guests can sit and admire the view. The garden extends away from the villa, dotted with oak and citrus trees and vibrant planting that surrounds the perimeter, creating a tranquil setting. Inside, guests will find a light-filled living area with various seating areas, a neat dining table, and a modern kitchen. Upstairs, there are six charming bedrooms with splendid views. Outside, there is a covered terrace with seating, a large terrace with a dining area and barbecue, along with parking for 2 cars in the garage. This villa offers an idyllic coastal hideout for guests seeking tranquility and relaxation.

Galician Seaside Retreat

Surrounded by well-maintained lawns and terraces, this charming family home in O Barro is in a lovely location to explore the Spanish countryside. The house features some great amenities such as a large first-floor terrace with picturesque views of the area, a private pool and ping-pong table. For day trips, take an eight-minute drive to visit the spa town of Mondariz Balneario, where you'll find some restaurants, scenic footpaths and a sandy beach with sheltered waters for swimming. If you fancy spending the day by the seaside, Cesantes is just a forty-minute car ride away.

Dreaming of the Dream

This breezy flat takes the meaning of beachfront to a whole new level. It sits just above the sands of Playa Silgar – and trust us, when we say you'll spend every minute soaking up the scenery, we mean it. Mornings here begin with a cup of coffee on the terrace, listening to the waves and watching the tide roll in, while nights end with a glass of Cava as the sun slowly dips below the horizon. With the Atlantic Ocean stretched out before you and the lively beach just below, we can't think of anything dreamier – in our opinion, it's the quintessential seaside getaway.

Even when watching Netflix in the living room, you can still make the most of the jaw-dropping views thanks to the glass doors. The design is the essence of coastal chic – think oak beams on the ceilings, copper light fixtures and every shade of blue imaginable. We particularly love the ivy-covered fireplace, the traditional Spanish tiles in the bathrooms and the rustic kitchen stocked with all the cookware you'll need. 

Sanxenxo is a lively resort, home to many mouth-watering restaurants serving fresh-caught seafood, boutique shops and trendy bars. With the beach, coastal paths and eateries aplenty on your doorstep, some fun in the Spanish sun is a guarantee.

The Big Blue Beckons

With some of the best beaches in Galicia just a 10-minute stroll away, this sea-facing villa on the northwest Iberian Peninsula delivers all the goods for a coastal getaway. Beyond the beaches and a handful of seafront restaurants, there’s little in the way of local amenities, which will suit those looking for peace and quiet rather than bustle. For that, drive to the renaissance town of Cangas, just 7 kilometres away. A home for all seasons, the private pool and lawns outside are perfect for summer, and a wood burner is inside for autumnal evenings.

The Moon & the Sun

This beachfront haven on the cusp of the beautiful Galician coastline is perfectly suited for friendly get-togethers and family gatherings. Tucked away and yet only a five-minute stroll from the white sands and calm turquoise water of Playa de Montalvo, this all-encompassing villa makes for seamless modern living. Although, you’ll love rising early to catch the sunrise and sea views from your bedroom balconies, before sipping your morning coffee on the covered terrace downstairs. Should you wish to escape the midday heat, challenge your friends to a few games of pool inside, or work up a sweat in the fully-equipped gym. There's plenty to fill your days here, whether you're a committed sunbather or more of an active type. Whatever you choose to do, make sure to bookmark another lovely day in Sanxenxo with an alfresco dinner around the outdoor dining table. We can think of nothing better than drinks and a barbecue dinner with your loved ones, as the starry night sky draws in. 

Beachy Breeze

With sea views from your balcony, this modern villa in Galicia has all the desired features of a relaxed beach holiday. The house is perfect for a group of couples or friends looking to pass days by the pool and in the gardens. The beach is ten minutes away by foot and the gem of Sanxenxo village, one of the most chosen destinations of Galician locals, is even closer. Return home in the evening with some local produce and sit out at the al fresco dining table. Admire the home, built by a famous local architect and filled with the work of Spanish artists. We loved that the home feels authentic and inspired. We recommend keeping your ears peeled for the rooster's song in the morning!

Sweet Sanxenxo

Based in the gorgeous region of Galicia in Spain, an area steeped in fascinating history, this charming villa provides a peaceful retreat while featuring some fascinating history of its own. It's a home built with old cobblestone, exposed beams and grand archways, which all come together to make a serene sanctuary – and better yet, it's topped off with a stunning 'secret garden' that has a stream running through it, as well as a sparkling private pool with Roman steps.

Dripping With Flora

Arrive at this refined villa between river and sea to be swept away by the peace of the Costa Verde. Perfect for the family, this stay offers a little something for everyone with ease. Enjoy a Portuguese pastry with your coffee on the terrace overlooking the terrain before taking to the sandy beaches of the coast or a day of kayaking on the Minho River. On return, escape the sun and refresh in the villa’s private covered pool and spacious gardens. The town of Caminha is a walk away to enjoy aperitivos with the locals or to stock up on tomorrow’s pastries. There are plenty of grounds to explore, including a pond (our favourite area), mature woodland and numerous paths leading into the countryside. Alternatively, simply unwind next to the private pool or admire the enchanting garden views from the veranda of the main house and the cottage.

This place is ideal for a large group of friends or family – there’s a charming separate cottage with a twin bedroom and kitchenette too, which provides a perfect space for those in search of a tad more privacy. If you love traditional interiors, then you’re in luck – from the grandfather clock in the dining room to the farmhouse-style kitchen and antique beds, this home is full of old-world character.

Nestled in a wonderful rural landscape, there’s plenty to see and do. Ponte de Lima, one of Portugal’s most historic towns, with its ornate squares, cobbled alleyways, and vast riverside Monday market, is just 13 kilometres away. The country’s only national park, the mountainous nature reserve of Peneda Geres National Park, is just a forty-minute drive away and offers prehistoric remains and walking trails, as well as golden eagles, deer and wolves – oh my.
