Tucked away in Vilamoura, this cosy apartment is an ideal base for exploring all that the Algarve has to offer. As you’d expect with a studio, space is limited here, but you’ll find everything needed for a comfortable stay. While it can sleep three guests, with one on the sofa bed, it’s worth noting that it’s an open space – for this reason, we think it’s better suited to a couple or small family who don’t mind sharing. That said, with Vilamoura beach and golf courses galore nearby, along with the communal pool to cool off in the heat, you’re bound to be out and about most days.

We love how this home brings the outside in and, indeed, the inside out – thanks in part to the huge floor-to-ceiling windows that fill the living spaces with light and provide direct access to the garden and its outdoor kitchen with dining table, laid-back seating area, and shaded terraces that are perfect for getting out of the sun and into a good book. 

In the summer months in particular, the carefully designed exterior spaces of the property are all about comfortable outdoor living – and we think you'll be amazed and just how much time you can spend outside when you have all the facilities you could need (not to mention that glorious Portuguese sun blazing triumphantly overhead).

Spread over three floors, this seamless villa lies in the Algarve, with its own private pool and views of the Atlantic ocean from the rooftop terrace. All the bedrooms enjoy their own en-suites, with one on the ground floor for easy accessibility. The location is close to several similar villas so there is the potential for some noise from neighbours, and with a noise curfew in the evening, this won't be the place for parties. You'll want a car here for visiting the beaches, or heading into central Tavira where you'll find restaurants and historical buildings.

When it comes to soaking up the sunshine, the Algarve never disappoints – and, it has to be said, neither does this home. You can dine alfresco in the garden and cool off in the private pool – although both are slightly overlooked by neighbours. Upstairs, a balcony with lounge chairs is an ideal spot to savour a cocktail. If the weather isn't up to its usual standards, the indoor patio makes a nice escape – we're big fans of the hand-painted tiles and skylight. Another thing we enjoy is the location. You're about ten minutes from Vilamoura's buzzing marina and beaches, with easy access to the rest of the coastline when you fancy adventures further afield.
