Being located in such a rural area means you have plenty of hiking opportunities within a short distance. We recommend the thirty-minute drive to Caminito del Rey. It's a beautiful walkway pinned along the steep walls of a narrow gorge in El Chorro. Admission is cheap and well worth it for amazing photo opportunities. After your day out hiking, you'll look forward to returning home to a place packed with as much character on the inside as the landscape outside. This recently refurbished Andalucian villa has all the ingredients you could want for a relaxing break in the Spanish sunshine. We can't really start with anything other than the swimming pool that takes up most of the garden, which is overlooked by palm trees and surrounded by loungers.

Around the home itself, you'll find a terrace that stretches around the property with a lounge, alfresco dining area and a pretty impressive outdoor kitchen set-up. It's fair to say that you could spend the bulk of your time outside, but that would be being the modern interior a disservice. There are plenty of standout features behind the front door, from the sleek wooden kitchen and spa-standard bathrooms to the crocodile-shaped bench in one of the bedrooms.

And the location's not half bad, either. You can be standing on the golden sands of Playa del Saladillo in around twenty minutes on foot or strolling around the designer boutiques of Puerto Banús in just under the same amount of time in the car.
