Nestled amidst beautiful Andalucian countryside, this home greets guests with awe-inspiring mountain views – providing the perfect antidote for overworked souls. The main bedroom has access to its own terrace, offering panoramic views of the local landscape, as does the pool area. Inside, the wooden beams overhead and the fireplace create a cosy, rustic environment – though we can't imagine you'll spend too long indoors here, with the sun loungers ideal for cocktails. You'll also want to take advantage of the free parking here, as the nearest restaurant is several miles away.

The Allure of Azure

This remarkable home dates back to the late 19th century but a quick tour will quickly show you that there have been a number of changes made in the ensuing years. For starters, the large swimming pool is a relatively recent addition – and a welcome one, at that – as is the huge Jacuzzi in its own separate annexe. There's a contemporary sleekness to the kitchen and bathrooms in the main house, as well.

That being said, a certain sense of heritage has been expertly retained during the recent refurbishment and there's an undeniable character in the exposed stonework, wooden ceiling beams and the elegant staircase that takes you up to the bedrooms.
