Malagueta Beach is only a short car ride away, but if you’d prefer to cool off at home, make a beeline for the plunge pool on the private terrace. Just a heads up, there isn't much storage space here, so you may want to pack light. Plus, there isn't an oven here, only a hob – though we think you’ll do most of your eating out at the restaurants on your doorstep.

This apartment can be found in the heart of the city, looking directly onto the Sagrado Corazon church. It’s stylish and quirky, with chic decor and some of the best views in town. You're bound to hear some city noise here, but with such a great address as this, we think it's a small price to pay.

Although the interior isn't the most stylish in our collection, it's all about the incredible view here, with several spots to relax on the terrace and take in the view. The upstairs bedroom even has a private balcony, perfect for newlyweds who want some privacy. The communal pool is also sure to be a crowd-pleaser. That said, with the nearest beach only 2km away, you might want to spend most of your time there.

Tranquil Gibralfaro

This practical apartment is located in the heart of Malaga's historic centre, just a stone's throw away from tourist hotspots such as Calle Larios, Plaza de la Constitución, and the Picasso and Thyssen Museums. While it’s not the most characterful pad in our collection, a sofa bed in the living area offers flexible sleeping arrangements, and the Juliet balcony in the main bedroom is a nice touch too. The kitchenette is a little basic for our liking, but given the home’s stellar spot, you’ll find plenty of restaurants, bars and shops nearby, offering a true taste of Malagan living.

Found in the heart of La Malagueta, a stone's throw from the Pompidou Museum, Picasso Museum, and La Alcazaba, this apartment is a dream location for beach lovers. Only a short stroll from the sandy shores of Malagueta, you can drop your bags and head right out. But when inside, you'll find the home quiet and bright. There's more than enough space, even with two sleeping on the sofa bed in the living area, and the kitchen is well-equipped for dining in when you're not at a local tapas bar. Plus, the art deco flair is a nice touch.

The main bedroom’s sliding doors offer more of those lovely cathedral vistas and open onto the balcony.

With a fantastic location in central Málaga, the cathedral is a mere three-minute stroll, while the Plaza de la Constitucion is two minutes on foot. Or culture lovers can head to the Picasso Museum, a four-minute amble. For a day on the nearby golden sands, La Malagueta and La Caleta Beach are around a fifteen-minute walk.
