Perched just above the Andalusian coastline, this southeast-facing villa is the perfect base for a sun-kissed vacation in the south of Spain. 

Inside, traditional Balearic features, such as the terracotta tiling and open-hearth fireplace, combine effortlessly with pops of colour to create a chic and enchanting space. We're particularly fond of the sleek minimalist kitchen and bold prints found throughout the rooms.

Take a look outside and it's not hard to imagine yourself by the saltwater pool with your favourite book in hand, or tending to the barbecue once the sun's gone down. The whitewashed walls are traditional in style and lend a sense of privacy, but peek over the top and you'll see the Mediterranean Sea stretching into the distance.

As you can probably guess from this view, the beach isn't too far away — in fact, the golden sands of Playa del Rincón de la Victoria take about five minutes to reach on foot. There are also caves to explore fifteen minutes' walk from the home, while the centre of Málaga is only twenty minutes away in the car.

Set in the dramatic mountainous landscape of the Malaga countryside, this unique home has all the ingredients for an unforgettable holiday. Set on 6,500 square metres of land, the home comprises three separate houses built together in a small complex. Each of the houses has a living room and a fully equipped kitchen, so you can make your coffee and breakfast without fighting over countertop space. 

Long summer days can be spent in the garden, soaking up the panoramic views of the green hills and golden mountains. When it gets hot, cool off with a dip in the 15 metre pool. Come lunchtime, fire up the barbecue and enjoy an alfresco meal together on the terrace. The villa is in a peaceful, remote location, and the nearest town is Rincón de la Victoria, 8.7 kilometres away, where there’s pharmacies and supermarkets, as well as restaurants and bars.

You could easily spend all your time relaxing at the villa and splashing around in the pool, but if you feel like an adventure, Malaga is 19 kilometres away and easily reachable by car. Wander around and admire the old colonial architecture and pretty squares, stopping in for a drink and a bite to eat at one of the family run tapas bars. Or spend the afternoon at one of Malaga’s beautiful sandy beaches, enjoying a paella at a seafront restaurant. After a day of sun, sea and sand, head home for cocktails on the terrace as the mountains turn pink.

Positioned in the seafront neighbourhood of La Malagueta, this home is just a twelve-minute stroll from the beach and a ten-minute walk from Malaga's historic centre. It sits on the ninth floor of a high-rise, tucked away from the hustle and bustle, and offers views across the Cathedral, harbour and out towards the Alboran Sea.

Though compact, the interior is contemporary and welcoming, providing an idyllic base for couples and solo travellers. White walls and an open-plan layout create a free-flowing ambience primed for relaxation, complemented by heaps of natural light streaming through the large windows. With a fully equipped kitchen, cosy lounge and nifty breakfast bar, there are all the bells and whistles for a comfortable stay. However, the real gem of this home is its outdoor space: an L-shaped balcony, offering plenty of scope for soaking up the sun or lounging in the shade. Sitting pretty up on the ninth floor of a modern building, this apartment is blessed with a truly stunning view of Málaga's marina and the Andalucian hilltops in the distance. Thankfully, there's a terrace from which you can take a seat and admire this wonderful scenery.

You can also catch a glimpse of it through the windows inside. Once you can prise your attention away from what's happening outside, you'll find an interior that's as fresh and contemporary as they come. Stark white walls and sleek surfaces in the kitchen work well with the copious amounts of natural light, while there are some stylish touches in the design that add some character – the pastel armchairs are particularly cute.

There's only so long that you can look out at the city's port and not be desperate to go for a swim. As luck would have it, the golden sands of Playa la Malagueta are only three minutes' walk away. You'll find plenty of seafront bars and restaurants in the local area, as well as the Centre Pompidou only two minutes from your front door on foot.

Sitting on the seafront of the charming fishing village of Pedregalejo is this lovely holiday home. It’s an apartment that’s spread over two floors and boasts a marvellous terrace with sea views, in a neighbourhood jam-packed with restaurants and bars. Pedregalejo is just 5 km from the centre of Malaga, so you can easily pop into the city when you’re craving the bright lights and hustle and bustle. For the rest of your stay, though, you can enjoy the seaside setting of this charm-filled home. 

In the morning you’ll wake up to sea views and want to head straight outside. Make a cup of coffee in the light open-plan kitchen and living space then take the stairs up to the terrace – it’s where we’d want to spend all of our time. You can soak up the sunshine while drinking in the view, moving under the shade of an umbrella when the Spanish sun really starts to sizzle. Maybe you’ll stroll to the beach to cool off in the calm, clear water? You can be building sandcastles at Playa de las Acacias in no time. 

Nothing beats alfresco dining when you’re feeling sun-kissed and relaxed. As the sun begins to set, fire up the barbecue on the terrace and pour a glass of wine. Dine under the stars on fresh seafood and grilled veggies. Absolute bliss.

Sandwiched between the twinkling sea and majestic mountains and boasting fantastic panoramic views of both, this home offers unparalleled elegance – exuding a kind of grand traditional charm that transports you back in time, while simultaneously managing to feel entirely timeless.

Explore the sprawling gardens, in which you will find a host of hidden seating areas where you can sit and simply soak up the magic of this unique environment. Meander around a little more and you will come to the spectacular natural-style pool. Framed by palm trees and offering a captivating vista, as well as a comfy cabana, we can't think of many places we would rather kick back, relax, and soak up the Spanish sunshine. Within these expansive grounds, there are also walkways adorned with bougainvillea which we think make the perfect backdrop for the ultimate holiday snap, as well as a wealth of water features and even a hidden Wendy house for an added sprinkling of magic. 

Step inside, and it's an unadulterated opulence that greets you. Marble floors, wood panelling, feature fireplaces, and luxurious soft furnishings combine to create a space that is at once supremely elegant, while also feeling welcoming and comfortable. An almost English country manor-feeling library brims with old-world charm, whilst deftly placed Moorish influences in the living areas add a sense of occasion, as well as a certain sumptuousness that really has to be seen to be fully appreciated.

Start your day with a fresh cup of coffee in the Hawaiian-style gazebo, then slather on some sun cream and head upstairs to unwind by the pool. With an outdoor kitchen and bar at your disposal, we wouldn’t blame you if you wanted to spend all day up here but if you fancy a change of scenery, why not wander down to the beach for a spot of lunch by the sea? Then, when you’ve been fed and watered, head into Málaga’s Centro Histórico for an afternoon of sightseeing before making your way back home to watch the sun set over Andalusia’s golden rooftops, glass of wine in hand.

Situated along the beachfront in the neighborhood of La Malagueta, you'll find yourself a stone's throw away from the sea. The apartment boasts impressive views of the Mediterranean Sea, and the interiors are bright and contemporary. There's enough room here to accommodate up to four people with the addition of a pull-out bed– however, this may compromise on communal space. That said, you'll likely spend most of your time on the beach and exploring the surrounding area. You'll find plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops within walking distance, and the city centre is just a short drive away.

Located a fifteen-minute walk from the Centro Histórico, this apartment is perfect for first-time travellers or repeat visitors. Malagueta Beach is only a short car ride away, but if you’d prefer to cool off at home, make a beeline for the plunge pool on the private terrace. Just a heads up, there isn't much storage space here, so you may want to pack light. Plus, there isn't an oven here, only a hob – though we think you’ll do most of your eating out at the restaurants on your doorstep.

When it comes to location, it doesn’t get much more convenient than this Malagueta apartment. From here, it’s just a short stroll to museums, galleries and restaurants, while the beach is also within walking distance. It’s worth noting that the rooms are lacking in natural light and the views aren’t the best, but you will find a covered terrace and family-friendly rooms. Your host can also organise a range of excursions and cultural experiences – perfect for those looking to connect with the authentic spirit of the city. 

The Butterfly Moon 

Spend sunny days on the sands of Playa de la Malagueta, just 150m away from this minimal pad. The interiors are simple but practical, with a bright open-plan living space for relaxing over a sangria, cooking tapas or catching up on work. You’re likely to experience some city buzz, so lighter sleepers may want to pack earplugs. And while it might feel a little tight with all four guests, especially with two guests sleeping on the sofa bed, it’s a fuss-free base for exploring Malaga. Location-wise, you’ll find the Centre Pompidou, beach-side restaurants, and vibrant bars within walking distance.

Casa de la Palma

With those sea views, it’s not hard to see why this apartment caught our eye. You can enjoy beautiful sunsets while relaxing on the balcony, plus it’s just a short stroll over to the beach, while the city centre is a ten-minute walk away. It’s likely you’ll hear some street noise throughout your stay and the rooms are a little basic, but this is a great option for those seeking ease and convenience. Housekeeping is also included, plus your host can help organise a range of experiences to bring you the best of Málaga.

Wake up to views of the port and sea when you stay at this bright apartment in Málaga. There are vistas over the city from the living room too (at full capacity, guests three and four will be sleeping on a sofa bed here). Ok, so the kitchen is a bit basic, but with an outlook like this, are you going to be focused on that? And in any case, there are plenty of restaurants nearby as this place is located in one of the most exclusive areas of the city. Best of all, the beach is only 20 metres away, while within a ten to fifteen-minute walk, there are attractions such as the Picasso Museum, the cathedral and the Cervantes Theatre.

The Mirrored Sea

Situated in the charming fisherman's district of Pedregalejo, just 100 metres away from the beach – this apartment has a great address. Or take a ride into central Malaga and browse its shops and museums. You’ll find a range of lovely chiringuitos, cafes and restaurants on your doorstep, too, or enjoy alfresco meals on this apartment’s rooftop terrace with its dining table and barbecue. We love that the main bedroom opens out onto a balcony as well. This place is perfect for those looking for a mix of traditional Andalusian and urban living.

The Balmy View

The panoramic views of the sea and Malagueta Beach from this apartment’s private balcony are wonderful. You can enjoy the vistas from the sofa in the living room too (at full capacity two guests will be sleeping on a sofa bed here). If you’re planning to cook at home, then we’d say the kitchen is a bit on the small side, as it houses the dining table too, but with all the many restaurants and beach chiringuitos nearby, will you want to eat in much? Best of all, Playa de la Malagueta is just 20 metres away and the city centre with all of its attractions is a fifteen-minute walk.

This Caleta beachfront penthouse is calling all sun-worshippers. With the bay of Málaga this close to your doorstep, dropping your bags and heading straight out the beach is convenient, but the proximity also means palm tree-lined views from the terrace seating. The home unfolds across two floors, and it's worth noting little ones might find the spiral suitcase challenging. Most bedrooms include an open plan en suite with a shower cubicle tucked away in a corner, but there is also a family bathroom if you're a little shy. A built-in bar and home cinema add an exclusive touch to this bright and modern space.

La María

Found in the heart of La Malagueta, a stone's throw from the Pompidou Museum, Picasso Museum, and La Alcazaba, this apartment is a dream location for beach lovers. Only a short stroll from the sandy shores of Malagueta, you can drop your bags and head right out. But when inside, you'll find the home quiet and bright. There's more than enough space, even with two sleeping on the sofa bed in the living area, and the kitchen is well-equipped for dining in when you're not at a local tapas bar. Plus, the art deco flair is a nice touch.

This two-storey Gibralfaro apartment places Malaga at your fingertips, making it ideal for both sun lovers and those who like to holiday in the city. Although the interior isn't the most stylish in our collection, it's all about the incredible view here, with several spots to relax on the terrace and take in the view. The upstairs bedroom even has a private balcony, perfect for newlyweds who want some privacy. The communal pool is also sure to be a crowd-pleaser. That said, with the nearest beach only 2km away, you might want to spend most of your time there.

Tranquil Gibralfaro

Just a short walk from La Malagueta Beach, this apartment is the perfect setting for some fun in the sun. Málaga's charming city centre is also easily reached on foot, so there'll be endless opportunities to eat, drink, and sightsee. Having an internal balcony at home means you can unwind alfresco whenever you please. A great choice for families, it has two twin bedrooms plus a cosy main suite for the grown-ups. The kitchen is a tad dated, and the living area a little small for everyone, but with so much on your doorstep, we reckon most days will be spent exploring.

A Harmony of Blue

Only a five-minute stroll to the sea – so close, you can just glimpse it from the balcony – this apartment's breezy, open-plan feel makes it a great base for exploring Rincón de la Victoria. Although this flat has a very sleek, contemporary design, it still has plenty of soul – we particularly love the traditional patterned kitchen tiles, vivid pops of colour on the cushy throw pillows and the bright, light-filled living space. Our favourite spot is the sun-kissed balcony. It's where you can start your day off with coffee while watching the neighbourhood wake up and end your evening with a glass of sangria as the tantalising sun goes down beyond the apartment block.

When you fancy exploring, the village has multiple attractions nearby, including golf and shopping, as well as a long sandy beach ideal for sprawling underneath clear blue skies. Hire bikes and go adventuring along the lively seafront with its array of bars and restaurants or, for a bit more buzz, make the twenty-five-minute drive to Málaga – we think it's perfect for a day trip.

This pretty apartment makes for a lovely base for your visit to Spain, tucked away just a short stroll from the beach. Rincon de la Victoria is just a twenty-five-minute drive from Malaga, but has a laid-back feel that makes it perfect for relaxing beach holidays. 

The apartment is bright and sunny, with a lovely terrace – is there anything better than sipping a glass of something chilled as the sun starts to set? It’s a comfortable space that’s welcoming, making it feel like a real home from home.

You’ll likely spend most of your stay at the beach, which is an eleven-minute walk away. The seafront has plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from, so you can dine alfresco while listening to the waves on the shore. 

It’s well worth driving the twenty-five minutes into Malaga for a day trip. There’s incredible architecture to admire, beautiful squares to sit in, and pretty streets to wander with an ice cream in hand.
