This is one of those villas you daydream about. Located on the iconic Costa Del Sol coastline, you’ll find yourself sipping sangria in the plush outdoor lounge, soaking up the Mediterranean vistas from the terrace, and waking up in a contemporary paradise with sunshine streaming through the floor-to-ceiling doors. 

The villa has clearly been designed by someone with a considered eye for detail. Everything you might need for a relaxing and luxurious stay is right at your fingertips – the sleek and modern kitchen is a chef’s delight, and the hosting lounge, complete with plush furnishings and unique artworks, is perfectly poised for sociable evenings. Outdoors, there’s a ping pong table, sparkling pool, luscious lawn and slick sun loungers  – it’s the perfect place to curl up with a book and a sangria. In the evenings, you might like to fire up the barbecue and enjoy alfresco tapas feasts as the golden sun seeps beneath the horizon. 

Golfers will be pleased to learn that the links of Añoreta Golf Club are a short drive away. The vibrant city centre of Málaga can be reached within a reasonable distance – it’s a great place for boutique shopping, beachside sunbathing and tapas dining on the waterfront. 

Garden Above the Sea

This pretty apartment makes for a lovely base for your visit to Spain, tucked away just a short stroll from the beach. Rincon de la Victoria is just a twenty-five-minute drive from Malaga, but has a laid-back feel that makes it perfect for relaxing beach holidays. 

The apartment is bright and sunny, with a lovely terrace – is there anything better than sipping a glass of something chilled as the sun starts to set? It’s a comfortable space that’s welcoming, making it feel like a real home from home.

You’ll likely spend most of your stay at the beach, which is an eleven-minute walk away. The seafront has plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from, so you can dine alfresco while listening to the waves on the shore. 

It’s well worth driving the twenty-five minutes into Malaga for a day trip. There’s incredible architecture to admire, beautiful squares to sit in, and pretty streets to wander with an ice cream in hand. 


Lemonade In The Shade

This two-storey Gibralfaro apartment places Malaga at your fingertips, making it ideal for both sun lovers and those who like to holiday in the city. Although the interior isn't the most stylish in our collection, it's all about the incredible view here, with several spots to relax on the terrace and take in the view. The upstairs bedroom even has a private balcony, perfect for newlyweds who want some privacy. The communal pool is also sure to be a crowd-pleaser. That said, with the nearest beach only 2km away, you might want to spend most of your time there.

Tranquil Gibralfaro

Perched just above the Andalusian coastline, this southeast-facing villa is the perfect base for a sun-kissed vacation in the south of Spain. 

Inside, traditional Balearic features, such as the terracotta tiling and open-hearth fireplace, combine effortlessly with pops of colour to create a chic and enchanting space. We're particularly fond of the sleek minimalist kitchen and bold prints found throughout the rooms.

Take a look outside and it's not hard to imagine yourself by the saltwater pool with your favourite book in hand, or tending to the barbecue once the sun's gone down. The whitewashed walls are traditional in style and lend a sense of privacy, but peek over the top and you'll see the Mediterranean Sea stretching into the distance.

As you can probably guess from this view, the beach isn't too far away — in fact, the golden sands of Playa del Rincón de la Victoria take about five minutes to reach on foot. There are also caves to explore fifteen minutes' walk from the home, while the centre of Málaga is only twenty minutes away in the car.


Arabesca

Malaga is lucky enough to possess one of the most beautiful coastlines in Spain, and you have the best view from the privacy of your gorgeous rooftop terrace. Adorned by comfy cushions and a cute dining table, the idyllic terrace provides cosy seating spots to admire the breathtaking view. 

Gather for a continental breakfast, light lunch and delicious evening meal on the open-air dining table. If you wanted a more leisurely spot, snuggle up on the comfort of the white cushions or lounge on the two sun beds. Whichever spot you choose, make sure to head to the terrace when the orange tones of sunset illuminate the sky. 

Inside from the terrace, find a vibrant living room. Colourful furniture is decorated in intricate designs and bold artwork hangs off the walls – it's a space that's brimming with charm and character. Light, wooden flooring sews the space together and natural light floods in through the floor-to-ceiling windows. 

A TV on the wall acts as a natural divide between the living room and the kitchen. The open layout means you can keep the cook company as they rustle up some tasty dishes, complemented by a crisp glass of white wine. If you prefer dining out to eating in, the inviting restaurants of Malaga are just a short drive away.

White Sunsets

If you’re a fan of beautiful sea views and sprawling rooftop terraces, you’ll love this home we spotted on the outskirts of La Malagueta, one of our favourite destinations on Spain’s Costa Del Sol. Whether you’re here for a winter retreat or a dreamy summer getaway, this place has got you covered, boasting pristine interiors and plenty of outdoor space for eating, drinking, and being merry with your fellow guests. 

Start your day with a fresh cup of coffee in the Hawaiian-style gazebo, then slather on some sun cream and head upstairs to unwind by the pool. With an outdoor kitchen and bar at your disposal, we wouldn’t blame you if you wanted to spend all day up here but if you fancy a change of scenery, why not wander down to the beach for a spot of lunch by the sea? Then, when you’ve been fed and watered, head into Málaga’s Centro Histórico for an afternoon of sightseeing before making your way back home to watch the sun set over Andalusia’s golden rooftops, glass of wine in hand. 

Deck-top Daydream

This apartment sits in a gated community at the heart of Axarquia. It’s in the first line from the beach, so you can admire sea views and stroll to the soft sand in no time. There are also plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. You’ll have access to the communal salt-water swimming pool, from which you can gaze out to sea as you float in the sunshine. There’s a communal gym, too, ideal for those keen to keep up their routine. We recommend bringing a car so you can drive twenty-five minutes to Malaga to see the sights. 

Saltwater Serenity

Gaze out over hazy mountain vistas from this rustic hilltop home. Far removed from your everyday routine, you're free to spend relaxing days stretched out on sun loungers, enjoying refreshing dips in the pool, and playing petanca beneath cloudless skies.

A short drive away, the quaint village of Almáchar is known for its culinary contribution to the local culture. Not only is it known for its currants, but the village is also the home of Andalusian favourite, ajoblanco - a cold soup made from bread, garlic and almonds. In fact, a festival is held in its honour each September. Should you wish to sample this local delicacy, a quick wander of its winding whitewashed streets will unearth several family-run restaurants. 

However, between the well-equipped kitchen and the built-in barbecue, there's not much call to leave this idyllic spot, so you might want to stock up on essentials at the supermarkets in Vélez-Málaga before you arrive.

Almond Eyes

The panoramic views of the sea and Malagueta Beach from this apartment’s private balcony are wonderful. You can enjoy the vistas from the sofa in the living room too (at full capacity two guests will be sleeping on a sofa bed here). If you’re planning to cook at home, then we’d say the kitchen is a bit on the small side, as it houses the dining table too, but with all the many restaurants and beach chiringuitos nearby, will you want to eat in much? Best of all, Playa de la Malagueta is just 20 metres away and the city centre with all of its attractions is a fifteen-minute walk.

Sea Ripples

Located a fifteen-minute walk from the Centro Histórico, this apartment is perfect for first-time travellers or repeat visitors. Malagueta Beach is only a short car ride away, but if you’d prefer to cool off at home, make a beeline for the plunge pool on the private terrace. Just a heads up, there isn't much storage space here, so you may want to pack light. Plus, there isn't an oven here, only a hob – though we think you’ll do most of your eating out at the restaurants on your doorstep. 

Mediterranean Light

Why have walls when you can just have windows instead? That's the question that this apartment in the centre of Malaga poses and you'll be inclined to agree with the architect's decision to have floor-to-ceiling glass running along the far corner of the open-concept living area.

Not only does it flood the interior with natural light, but it also looks out to a colourful view of treetops, hillsides and the blue sky up above. As an added perk, you can slide the glass doors open to turn your dining table into an alfresco setting.

The design throughout lies on the contemporary side, with stark white walls, wooden floors and a deliciously minimalist kitchen making the home feel instantly bright and welcoming. Add to that some equally pared-back bedrooms and a pair of super-sleek bathrooms, and we defy anybody not to fall head over heels for this address.

And that's without even mentioning the incredible location, either. Just around the corner from La Migueleta bullring, you can reach the sandy beach that shares the arena's name in just under five minutes, as well as the Centre Pompidou and Parque de Malaga.

Tall Glass of Water

Stylish and comfortable, this modern apartment is tailor-made for large groups or families. A large living room is the perfect hosting space – settle down for tapas at the dining table or share bottles of Rioja wine on the sofas. You could even have a few guests over and it wouldn't feel crowded. 

Light, wooden flooring and large windows help flood the room with natural light. Tucked around the corner, you'll find a contemporary kitchen brimming with premium quality. We particularly loved perching at the breakfast bar with a cup of coffee to start the day.

After you're fuelled at breakfast, begin your exploration of this flourishing city. The golden sands and azure waters of the beach are just a short stroll away – don't worry if you forget your towel or refreshments, you can nip home and back in under ten minutes. 

If you're feeling peckish after an afternoon of swimming and sunbathing, visit the plethora of fine seafood restaurants dotted along the shoreline.
